Well, she has finally arrived. My sister was due on Jan.5th, but the baby felt too comfortable, and decided to wait a little. She finally arrived on Saturday morning, around 7:15am.

A beautiful baby girl.

Meet Mélyane:

And because I really like the picture, here she is again with her older sister (2.5 years old), Charlize:

And the little family (Daddy Francis, and Mommy Mylène):

Congratulations to your sister and you being uncle again.

With a bit of luck she see will see the dawn of the next century!

Congrats on the new addition to the family. They are both very beautiful but where's mom and dad? All I see is someone's arms!

Well, might just as well hand out some information about other cultures...

In Taiwan the parents will hand out cookies or cake if the newborn is a girl. If it is a boy, then friends are invited to a meal of "sticky rice", usually with chicken. I appreciated a friend of mine not sticking to the rules, he sent me delicious cookies each time one of his boys was born :D
