Today is also the 62nd birthday for cinematographer Roger Deakins who I have become familiar with as the regular photographer for the movies of the Coen Brothers...I believe he started working with them with The Hudsucker Proxy.  I used to have all the Coen Brothers movies on DVD but gave them all to my brother as a Christmas gift a few years ago when I was having money problems and couldn't buy everyone new stuff.  He also did True Grit, of course...I have that on pre-order.  A few of his other movies include The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and The Reader and he will next be doing the photography for the next James Bond film.
