Why surprise at Extras? Have you not watched it?  :P Each episode features a celebrity playing themselves, or at least usually a caricature. Very funny indeed. I think Ben Stiller was in the first one. De Niro in one of the last. Kate Winslet is my favourite...

I don't think I have any of Mae West's movies...but then again, I might.  I do have a few box sets of Cary Grant...bug I just checked and no, I don't have his movie with her.  I have a few films with Robert De Niro including Taxi Driver and GoodFellas and maybe one or two things with Sean Penn (well, he's in an episode or two of Friends which I have).  I have the most here of Maureen O'Hara, one of my all-time favorite actresses.  I have her in four John Wayne movies (The Quiet Man, Rio Grande, McLintock! and Big Jake) plus The Rare Breed, The Black Swan, The Parent Trap, Only The Lonely and several others.  And yes, she is still alive so she is celebrating her 90th today.

Extras is one of my favortie show of all time. I love it how (almost) all of them agreed to make fun of themselves, like Orlando Bloom or Daniel Radcliffe. Wasn't De Niro the only one playing it straight...? While I didn't know all of the guest actors, I don't really remember any bad episode.

Much more so than in The Office it's wonderful to see the Ricky Gervais character suffer. I think what makes this generally more watchable than The Office is, that he also is lucky at times, whereas Brent had to suffer all the way through.

I have only seen a little of The Extras..I didn't get HBO when it was airing.  I've liked what I've seen, so I'll probably get it sometime.

I took a quick look at IMDB and came up with a few birthdays for today...

Sean Connery--80!
Tim Burton--52
Blair Underwood--46
Blake Lively--23

I've heard of Blake Lively...that's an actress, right?  But I don't think I have anything she's in (I could be wrong, though).  I'm not sure I have anything of Blair Underwood, either.  I have a few Tim Burton films...his 2 Batman movies, for instance.  I have a few of Sean Connery's James Bond films...Dr. No and Goldfinger...and probably a few of his other films.

I have two seasons of Gossip Girl with Blake Lively (Serena van der Woodsen). She also stars in The Town whose trailer looked interesting.
