I've been reading about this on Empire. It seems he might not have played nice with Marvel in the past, so they've done the dirty. On the other hand, I think the Avengers is doomed with too many characters and stars. Of all of them, Norton was probably the most replaceable, so hopefully they'll reduce the role too. If the story is as I heard, a sort of team up to catch The Hulk, then it will be better if Big Greenie is little more than a shadow so far as the plot is concerned. No need to flesh him out.

I have to admit I'm surprised they were even considering him, or that he would want to be involved - wasn't there a big hoo-haa when the film came out about "creative differences" between Norton and the studio and how he was unhappy with the film?

Dragonfire

I hadn't heard that he was unhappy with the movie.

I liked him in the part.

snowcat

Im not looking forward to the avengers.... Like Jon said too many big characters :S

Dragonfire

I think it could be ok if handled properly.

Bring back Eric Bana.

Thought that he was better than Norton, I think that the whole casting of Hulk was better than Incredible Hulk.

Rogmeister

Bruce Banner isn't even needed for an Avengers movie.  Whenever Hulk is in an Avengers story, his is The Hulk most of the time.  Hulk doesn't need puny Banner...Hulk smash!

I'm a thread necro today, apologies! Another I am massively looking forward to.

Are you making up for posting withdrawals or something?
I have a collection.
It can be found here.
No need to check it often.
I update it only twice a year!

I got scared from all the New tags when I opened the "Movies" sub-forum

I have seen this trailer at the cinema yesterday and while it certainly looks flashy and I still want to see the film, it somehow was missing something all the same :headscratch:

Najemikon

I think the trailer can only be so much and considering this is Joss Whedon, the films greatest strengths will stay hidden. I still have high hopes for this film and what it can do for the superhero genre.

hmm... Apparently this is my 8000th post... I feel I should have made more effort now!

That should make it more memorable!

Achim

Well, thinking about it in general and what I said in another thread one coud hope he is simply trying not to shoot hs entire load in the trailer ;)
