With eleven evenings left in July and 10 films to go I should be fine. I even took an evening off and spend another one watching the commentary for Donnie Darko.

If things go well and my friend can get his hands on tickets I'll be watching Inception tonight. All reviews are good (incl. Mark Kermode) so I am all hyped up to see it.

Dragonfire

I wanted to see Inception on Friday, but transportation issues prevented that.  Grrr.  Maybe tomorrow.  I hope.

Critter

I'm seeing Inception tommorow on the opening day in Australia.

Achim

I just got confirmation that we should have tickets for tonight. IMAX :yahoo:

Dragonfire

Looks like I'm going to see it tomorrow too.

I have managed to avoid all reviews for it so far too.  I didn't want to take a chance and have something spoiled.

Dragonfire

I'm caught up posting about the movies I've watched for this marathon now.  I have 7 more to watch.  I'm doing much better than the first time I tried this...I don't think I finished then.

snowcat

I was supposed to be going to see inception today actually... but then my friends uncle died... Looks like ill be going in a few weeks.

..I also failed at my marathon again, life took over as usual.

Rogmeister

I have also failed at my marathon.  I started off seeing 6 movies...then ground to a halt and haven't seen anything for over a week at least.  I should have known better...going from not seeing much at all to a 27-movie marathon within a month.  I guess I should stick with my occasional marathon viewings...  ???

RossRoy

mine started off well, but then i got the urge to continue watching FARSCAPE and that's what i've been doing...

Achim

I just come back from seeing Inception; IMAX highly recommended if you have that choice.

It's like the critic say, for a summer blockbuster the audience is supposed to keep up with the plot way more than usual. DO NOT check brain at door. Awesome concept (what you get from the trailer is all you should know beforehand), great action set pieces (the fight in the corridor is jaw-dropping good), good acting, Zimmer's trademark music used to great effect.

One Night with the King watched and reviewed.

17 down and 10 to go.

It's like the critic say,...

I've only read two reviews so far. Roger Ebert was completely in awe (but so he was for The Dark Knight), DVDTimes was favorable, but made an interesting point:
QuoteNolan's dreamverse has too much structure, too much lateral logic and what moments of surrealism there are feel rather forced. Yes, it's intriguing to watch Paris folding over like a calzone, but would André Breton have thought it was the real deal?

Anyway. Nolan never really was my thing, but, hey, Ellen Page is in it, so I might give it a try.

a) Ellen Page's role is not exactly small.

b) I'll dare and promise that you'll like this much more than The Dark Knight. :-X

Dragonfire

Just home from seeing Inception.  I loved it.  I agree, you shouldn't know more than what is in the trailers...and you definitely need to pay attention.

This is the most original movies I've seen in....well...I don't know how long.

Though there will be people who don't like it because it is so different.  My mother is one of them.  She hated it.

Anyway, I now must ponder how to write up a review and not share too much.
