And right the other side is Carradine's take on the audition that Lee supposedly had.

I think if you throw it all together and find the middle ground, I believe Lee developed something (martial artist in Western setting is very broad) and promises were made. Meanwhile, studios being what they are, did they simply go and find their own version and push Lee out?

But I happen to agree with the tone of that interview. Whatever the reasons behind the show, Lee wouldn't have been such a success if he had done it.
