My Thoughts:
This is a fun movie that has a nice bit of laughs in it. Jim Carrey is as crazy in this as he has ever been. While it is a good and funny movie... it wasn't quite as funny as I remembered it being. Don't get me wrong... it is definitely worth seeing... but I was just remembering it being more then what it is.

Miami Medical: Season 1
An Arm and a Leg
A young golf prodigy and three friends are attacked by an alligator.

My Thoughts:
This is one that I watched off my DVR  instead of DVD. I grabbed myself a bite to eat and didn't feel like grabbing a DVD to put in at the time. So decided to watch something I recorded instead. Then I just had to laugh when within the first 5 minutes I find out it is a birthday episode. The teen golf prodigy states that she just got the golf club for her 18th birthday which was in the matter of hours (next day). Turns out she gets a flesh eating virus from the water while trying to fight the alligator that attacked one of the players. So the doctors had to work fast to try to save her arm or cut it off while it was still her father's decision... as she was determined  not to lose her arm... even if it meant chancing her life. It is a very good episode. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Plot:
More hilarious than ever, and packing a slew of special features, including behind-the-scenes featurettes, commentary and deleted scenes, it's the insightful, delightful film about cowboys, careers and mid-life crises starring comic genius Billy Crystal and Oscar® Winner Jack Palance*!

Thirty-nine-year-old New Yorker Mitch Robbins (Crystal) is tired of his job and bored with his life. So he and his two best friends (Bruno Kirby and Daniel Stern) trade their briefcases for saddle bags and set out to find freedom and adventure herding cattle under the wide New Mexico sky. But what they discover instead is scorching sun, sore backsides...and more about themselves and each other than they ever thought possible!

*1991, Supporting Actor, City Slickers

Extras:
Scene Access
Audio Commentary
Deleted Scenes
Featurettes
Closed Captioned

My Thoughts:
For the end of my birthday marathon I thought I would watch this movie again. It is the 3rd time I watched this movie since I bought it about a year ago. It has always been a favorite comedy of mine. I watched this one because it is Mitch's 39th birthday that sends him into a mid-life crisis. And the trip is given to him for his birthday from his two friends. This movie is filled with laughs. I have a hard time believing this movie is almost 20yrs old. Though some of the jokes proves it so. Like trying to explain to his friend how to set up a VCR for recording. But even if some of the stuff is dated... it is still a lot of fun to watch.

Of course, Pete wouldn't be anywhere near 7000 posts if we'd made it a rule you can only review each title once!  Laugh
