Hey guys,

I may be off for a couple of days. I'm switching internet providers and my new hardware should have been connected by now but now the tech guy is coming on the 2nd and I don't know if my old provider is locking me out tonight.


Anyway hopefully I'm back on the 3rd and I wanted to wish you a Happy New Year 2014 because I'm off to my party now.

Yesterday afternoon they disconnected me (I had been using DSL via the landline). Today the tech came and connected me via the TV cable.

I'm online again.

Bad service then in your part of Germany.
Kabel Deutschland switched on my connection 2 days before Telekom switched of the landline.
Only problem was that the switching telephone number (of course) had to wait until the switch-off was completed.

Yeah I guess it wasn't the wisest idea to make a switch around Christmas / New Year.

But as hard as it was, I did survive one day without internet.

I know I've been gone a long long while, and I haven't replied to those who tried to contact me outside of here. I'm really sorry for that. Usually I'd get a message, read it, make a mental note to reply ... and never got to it.

Anyways, I know I've been gone a while (that's an understatement!) without any sign or any sort that I was leaving.
Sorry if that irked anyone here, it's never been my intention to actually not log on here at all during all that time.

Anyways, things have evolved for me, and well I find myself willing to take part in online discussions again, and I've always felt welcomed here.

So here I am. And happy to be back.
