Sunday morning I'm leaving for a week of overlanding in the north of the province, I'll be back on the 27th.  Just thought I'd inform everyone that for a week my post level will go from basically nothing to absolutely nothing  ;D

The curious ones can track me on my SPOT Messenger page.

Jimmy

So the temperature is too nice in the southern part of our province for you.
Have a good trip and most important have fun ;D

PS : don't forget to take some picture from us ;D

Don't worry Jimmy I will.  I will cross the Rupert river which is one of my reasons for going there.

It's the last wild and wide river in Quebec that is accessible by road but after a deal signed with the Cree indian community it was scheduled to be diverted in late 2009 and I don't know if it was done or if they're late.  I'm hoping that they're late and that I'll get a chance to see it before it's too late.

Kathy

Wow does that sound like fun. Enjoy yourself and I would love to see lots of pictures too!
I ticked SPOT messenger and it was, of course, empty  :bag:
I'm gonna have to test it tonight and/or tomorrow to make sure everything is in order.  You'll have a chance to see what it looks like before I depart.

Hi all,

Back from my trip.  I've been on the road 7 days, I drove almost 3000 kilometers but it was worth it, the rapids of the Rupert river are breathtaking.

Here's a picture, I'll post more later, I know that it doesn't look like much but to get an idea of how big these rapids really are try and find the wooden platform for visitors, it's about 8 feet long

Dragonfire

Pretty picture.

Kathy

Welcome home Eric. The picture is great - I can't wait to see the rest. Were you able to go in the water? As far as the platform...

Touti

It would be suicidal to try to go in the water Kathy,  look on the left of this picture ;)

Kathy

Thanks Eric, I never even noticed that. The water is mesmerizing, I would be so tempted to go in.

It reminds me of going on the Maid of the Mist. It is a boat trip that takes you to right up to Niagara Falls - a wonderful adventure.

On Saturday morning I will be going on a two week holiday to a place I go every year.

Cromer  :yahoo: Its a small sea side town in England... you see, I live in Coventry.... which is the furthest right in the middle of england and the furthest away you can get from the sea :p

anyway. its relaxing and great :) I cant wait!

..I really need a break from work and studying ¬___¬

So I will be slow around for the next few days... even slower then I have been haha!

:p now im out of last Standing
