I had cable once long ago. But, they kept deleting the stations I liked and substituting crap. I used to mostly watch the NFL Network, MSG, ESPN and ESPN 2. Once they dropped the NFL network and College Basketball I dropped them.

The lowest price package in Buffalo is around $75 a month. I seldom watch TV and would just as soon put that money into...I don't know...maybe more DVDs!

Don't worry Kathy, I have the cable because it's free with my rent... If it wasn't I won't have it. Except for CNN, RDI, some reality TV shows and the hockey games I don't watch TV. I prefer to spend my time watching my films, listening my music, going outdoor and playing on my computer than watching TV...

When is this edition due out? I've never seen Metropolis and I think this may be the DVD to see it on.
I've check out amazon and I could only find this edition which is due out in a few days.

What you pictured is the Eureka! release, available in the UK. The US version is getting released by Kino (see below for image).

Oh I see. I do prefer the cover art of the Eureka release but I'll probably end up getting it from the U.S. anyway.

Although the movie will probably be encoded the same, the special features will differ, so that's something to consider (if that's your bag). Do be aware that the discs may be region-locked (not a problem for the UK since Australia is the same region, but the USA is a different region to us).

If that's the case regarding the specials features I'll be going with the one which has the most or better, regardless of price or cover art.
As for region coding, that's not an issue for me. All my players are hacked to play all regions.

Anyway apart from all that I'm really looking forward to finally seeing the film. I have no doubt it will be a memorable viewing.
