Writing for the magazine was the final season.... season 7. In season 6 she was an intern at a newspaper.

I think the newspaper thing was only part of the season 6... not a lot happened there. So that could be why you don't remember it.

My Thoughts:
This completes this series. It isn't a bad series.. I did enjoy it. But at the same time I am not surprised it got canceled as quickly as it did. There is far better sitcoms out there. The finale does a fairly good job at closing the series out... but at the same time it does set up a 3rd season... in case it got one. The way they put the episodes on the discs is a bit confusing. Instead of running the episodes as they aired... 1 through 20... they for some reason pulled 3 episodes out of the middle of the season. Numbered the rest 1 through 17... and then put the three they pulled under it's own menu option entitled "More Sam." No idea why they did this.... makes no sense to me what so ever. There is some decent (though all very short) extras added to the set as well.

8. Mr. Monk Gets Hypnotized
Monk visits a hypnotist and is left in a childlike state, but his naiveté may be exactly what's needed in a case involving the disappearance of a famous actress.

Stars:
Tony Shalhoub as Adrian Monk
Traylor Howard as Natalie Teeger
Jason Gray-Stanford as Lieutenant Randall Disher
Ted Levine as Stottlemeyer

Extras:
  • Featurettes

My Thoughts:
I enjoyed the episodes on this disc very much. I always liked how this series was such a good mixture of comedy and crime mystery. The combination makes for a real fun show. My favorite episode on this disc has to be Mr. Monk's 100th Case which of course came on the series 100th episode. One of the things I liked about this episode is that it brought back some of the past guest stars... such as Sarah Silverman, Andy Richter and Howie Mandel. While, as I said, I enjoyed all the episodes... my least favorite on this disc has to be Mr. Monk Falls in Love... the story just didn't keep my interest as much as it should have.

12. Mr. Monk and the Lady Next Door
A murder investigation causes Monk to meet and befriend an older woman, but his cynicism shows when he believes that she has ulterior motives.

Stars:
Tony Shalhoub as Adrian Monk
Traylor Howard as Natalie Teeger
Jason Gray-Stanford as Lieutenant Randall Disher
Ted Levine as Stottlemeyer

Extras:
  • Feature Trailers

My Thoughts:
Another disc down in the season 7 set. I am still enjoying the series quite a bit. One of these days I need to watch this show from the pilot episode again. My favorite episode on this disc would have to be Mr. Monk and the Miracle... which happens to be that year's Christmas episode.

My Thoughts:
I finished off this disc yesterday evening. This one completes the 7th season. I enjoyed all the episodes on this disc... but think my favorite is Mr. Monk Makes the Playoffs. The disc also has a making of featurette for that same episode. I also really enjoyed Mr. Monk Fights City Hall... I especially liked the final shot of the episode. I thought it was a fitting ending. Now that I finished off the 7th season... I really need to add season 8 to my collection to complete the series.

Stars:
Billie Piper as Belle / Hannah
Cherie Lunghi as Stephanie
Iddo Goldberg as Ben

Extras:
  • Interviews
  • Closed Captioned

My Thoughts:
This is a series I never heard of before finding the DVD set cheap at Big Lots back in January. I have been watching an episode or two here and there since I got it... and finally finished the set this morning. It took longer then I expected considering there is only 8 half hour episodes in the season. The series aired on Showtime (originally on ITV2 in the UK)... but I somehow missed it at that time. I found it to be a fun and interesting series... but it isn't something I could sit through many episodes of at one time. I tend to get tired of watching after a couple of episodes. But over-all I enjoyed the series... and I am interested in getting more seasons. The odd thing is though... after checking Amazon.com I learn that seasons 1, 2 & 4 are available on DVD... but there is no sign of the 3rd season. I really liked the star of this series, Billie Piper, I found her to be just adorable. Unfortunately this is the only thing in my entire collection that I have her in.

Nelson Lee as Shen
Jessica Gower as Chase
Neil Jackson as Marcus Van Sciver

Extras:
  • DVD-ROM Content

My Thoughts:
It sure took me long enough... but after having this set in my collection for a year I finally finished off Blade: The Series. I really enjoyed all the episodes on this disc... within the entire series for that matter. I will admit it was a bit difficult for me to see anyone other then Wesley Snipes in the role of Blade... but it didn't take me long to get used to Kirk 'Sticky' Jones. I think he did a fine job taking over the role. My favorite episode on this disc has to be the series finale... Conclave. It has a great conclusion to the season long arc and lots of action. It also has the one thing that I didn't care for when it came to this set. While it tied up the season well, they apparently didn't know that the series was being canceled yet... so there is a good set up for season two and a cliffhanger as well. It is always a bit of a disappointment when a series ends that way. Over-all I enjoyed every minute of it... definitely recommended.

EPISODE 10 HEAVEN AND HELL

EPISODE 11 FAMILY REMAINS
Dad, Mom, two kids and a dog. An all-American family doesn’t stand a ghost of a chance against the bloodthirsty force that turns their new home-sweet-home into a haunted house.

EPISODE 12 CRISS ANGEL IS A DOUCHEBAG
Aging magician The Incredible Jay performs the dangerous Table of Death trick and emerges unscathed. Jay cheated the Grim Reaper, but one of his rivals didn’t. He checked out while Jay was doing his act.

Stars:
Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester
Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester

Extras:
  • Scene Access
  • Deleted Scenes

My Thoughts:
Felt like watching a little of this series. It's one of my favorite current series. Though the fourth isn't my favorite season... I still enjoy it. I never cared too much for the whole angel storyline of this season. Not that it is a bad storyline... just not as good as some of the previous stuff. My favorite episode on this disc is FAMILY REMAINS... which is a different kind of story for this series... as there is no supernatural creature involved. This time they go up against the horrors of man. A horror that can be scarier then any monster.

What is it about the TV Show 24? Knowing that I will have season 8 in my collection here soon... a season I never got the chance to watch when it originally aired... I started to watch my season 7 set since I haven't had the chance to watch the DVDs. The plan was to put it into rotation with the other series I am watching now... watching a disc at a time... as well as watching other shows at the same time. But no... that don't work with 24...I just can't stop myself from watching it. I am now about to start disc 3 of the set. Seems like I will be going straight through this set without stopping.

     Punky Brewster (1984/United States)
IMDb |Wikipedia |Intro |
Punky Power lives on in the very first episodes from the hit TV show PUNKY BREWSTER, Soleil Moon Frye stars as the abandoned little girl with an indomitable spirit who, with her faithful dog Brandon, brings light and laughter into the life of a grumpy old photographer (George Gaynes). Both a touching portrait of her makeshift family and a joyful ride through her childhood adventures, PUNKY BREWSTER was a 1980s benchmark in fun, innocent television for kids. So take a trip down memory lane, or see it again through the eyes of your own children.

Episodes:
1. Punky Finds a Home, Part 1
2. Punky Finds a Home, Part 2
3. Punky Finds a Home, Part 3
4. Lost & Found/Punky Gets Her Own Room
5. Walk Pool/Gone Fishing
6. Take Me Out to the Ballgame
7. Parents Night
8. Go to Sleep/A Visit to the Doctor

Stars:
George Gaynes as Henry Warnimont
Soleil Moon Frye as Punky
Susie Garrett as Mrs. Johnson
Cherie Johnson as Cherie

Extras:
  • None

My Thoughts:
After receiving this one today I couldn't wait to check it out to see if it was as good as I remembered from when I was a kid. Unfortunately not so much. It is still entertaining... and I can still enjoy watching it... but it really isn't anything more then an average sitcom. Through-out the entire 8 episodes on this disc I only chuckled a few times. My favorite episode has to be the 3 part pilot episode. Mills Creek Entertainment really goofed up on the packaging of this disc. This is a single DVD... and they put it in a double thick Keep Case. But not even a normal double thick Keep Case... the DVD itself is housed in a paper envelope... which is then held in place by clips in the keep case. I have seen multiple disc releases like this before... but this is the first time I ever seen it done for a single disc release!

My Thoughts:
I just finished season 5 of Supernatural. Over all I enjoyed it quite a bit. Though I have to admit the whole angels storyline did start to get old to me. But then I have always preferred the "monster of the week" type episodes over the season long arcs. But that is something that usually tends to be true... no matter the series I am watching. I got a kick out of the episode Changing Channels where the brothers are put into a fantasy world which they are characters to different television series. Fictional television series... but ones that are very similar to real ones. Despite the whole angel storyline... this series remains one of my favorite current series. It is a series I highly recommend.

My Thoughts:
Every since I found out I was getting this season 1 set I was curios about the series. I have heard a lot of great things about the show. I only watched the first disc... containing the first two episodes so far. Not sure why they have so few episodes on a disc. Watching so little so far it is kinda hard to make an informed opinion. At this point I have mixed feelings about the series. It does seem to keep my interest. I am enjoying it. But it is a little on the slow side for my taste. I would also like to see the violence in this series a little more graphic. Don't get me wrong... it is pretty graphic as it is... but I would like to see it at the level of the series Spartacus that airs on Starz. Over-all I am enjoying it... and can see myself getting hooked on the series.

My Thoughts:
With today being Friday the 13th.... what better time to watch the next disc of my Friday the 13th: The Series collection? This is a series I always liked back in the day. And I found it held up rather good for me. I think my favorite episode on this disc would have to be Read My Lips... which happens to guest star Billy Drago who made several appearances in Charmed as the Demon of Fear. While I always enjoyed this show... it is one where I can only watch but so many at one sitting. A disc at a time seems to be about right for me. Which is probably why it is taking me so long to get through my collection. Even so... this is a fun show... one that I definitely recommend.
