I need this right now, but we could reuse this thread in the future for any translaiton needs (English/German/German) :)

My colleague an dme cam across the term "all sales are prepaid and final" today. The meaning of prepaid is rather obvious, but what exactly does the final refer to? Is it that the product cannot be returned, or is the price final and no further fees apply (other tzhan tax, possibly) or something different? Maybe someone can explain the meaning to me (us).

Jimmy

Like you say it means the product can't be return. You get what you buy and you have to live with it (even if this isn't what you was expecting). Personally this isn't something I will trust before buying, it sounds too much like the add in the old comic books. Remember them? the x-ray glasses, the magic hypno-coin, the submarine kingdom, the giant ghost, ... They used the same formula and believe me none of them were what they were supposed to be.

Here in the states "all sales are final" is something we see quite often. Many times it is on closeout items or clearance items. Anytime a store is going out of business everything they sell will be marked "all sales final". You are correct with the meaning. Once you bought it it is yours.

It's not necessarily a bad thing, I guess it depends on what you're buying.

Thanks for the comments! We assumed th emeaning, but since the seller had also mentioned the return policy separately as well we thought there might be a differentr meaning.

He is looking into buying a oil pump over the internet. Excluding return of the product here is reasonable, I think.
