 that's great

...I went to school with a guy called Ben Dover

:p I also knew a guy called Harold Potter (we called him Harry though)... not as funny, mind you, hes like 34 now so his parents didn't name him that because of the books.

National Lampoon (I think!) did a spoof on this - oh I must be close to 20-30 (?) years ago. It was made like a high school yearbook and the only name I can remember was Osborne Black.

I'm going to have to check around and see if I can get it. It was my fathers book and he loved it.

One of the news presenters on Australian daily news is called Harry Potter. And another on the same station is called Hermione (she has a different last name though).

Just like in the books! There Hermione is also not called Potter.
I am probably laughing more typing this than any of you did while reading... :hysterical:
Her name is Hermione Kisten. By different last name I meant different to Hermione Granger, I obviously didn't mean Potter as a last name.

I do apologise Achim. I can pick up internet sarcasim about 80% of the time. The other 20% I just end up making a fool of myself.
