I have to do my taxes before the end of April.

Did you really have to remind me of that?  :yellowcard:

As for the the April's Fool related marathon.. Not sure I'd have all that many movies for that.

Tom

April and April Fools would be much of a restriction for me. Something where compiling the list wouldn't take as long as watching the movies themselves would be nice ;)

An idea....

Numerical Marathon

Watch as many titles  with different numbers within the titles concurrently as possible.
In addition, an episode number can count for missing numbers, so keeps the marathon pretty fluid
Volume of marathon dependent on user.

Example;

1 good cop
2 weeks notice
3 amigos
4 defcon4
5 children and it
etc
etc

Touti

"Within the title" or "Beginning with" ???

I am pretty sure he means "within", otherwise most would be watching TV episodes all month (would make for a quicker marathon though ).

While I think it's a good idea, I think once in two-digit numbers the movies will be thinned out and lots of TV episodes would have to be selected... :hmmmm:

Tom

How about adding, that it is also allowed to count the title's length for the numbers?
I have looked into my collection and can go into the 40s range without problems this way.

This looks like a plan  ;D

I'll put a new thread in for the April Numerical Marathon

How do you like the idea to a "Man-marathon"?
adapted Ric Flair: "To Be the Man, you have to watch the Man!" ;)

You mean like "Marathon Man", "Spider-Man" and other men like that? And a whole month of that?

madacid

Shark-man, Elephant-Man, etc... you git the idea ;)

But the guys in the US cannot watch X-Men 2 and 3 because they only have "X2" and "X III" - no man/men there.

Not bad, Madacid. I thought it was stretching things a bit, but I just checked and I found 32 titles, if I don't mind watching both versions of The Man Who Knew Too Much. And I could have a Superman mini marathon during, but that would mean subjecting myself to III and IV, so I might squeeze a few cheats in (The Osterman Weekend)

EDIT: just saw comments about "X-Men". If we allow the plural, that's another 8 titles. A decent run really.

Inside Man
Children of Men
