I had seen one episode via "grey channels". I'm not sure anymore, but I think it was the first pilot episode. I didn't like it all that much.
But now I am curious to watch the series, but as I have seen, the DVDs and Blu-rays of Series 1 do not include the first pilot. And as a completist this is just a big no-no for me. Maybe a later release will include it. I can wait.
I really don't think that will happen. It's very rare that BBC releases get re-evaluations.

Oh yeah, and that chart needs Duckula on it! Actually, Pete, have you ever seen Count Duckula? Marvellous stuff!
"Cooie! Duckie-poos!"
Pete, the only Region 1 release of Count Duckula is season 1 ...sadly its also like $50 on Amazon.com :S

I just finished watching episode 1 with the cast changes and such. I admit I went into it a little on the nervous side. but I found that I actually liked pretty much all the changes... including the girl that plays the ghost!
I would love to see a R1 US release of this series.... but I won't hold my breath.

I found it slowed down a bit in episodes 3 and 4 and then got up to speed again in the last two, eventually going out with a bang.

Odd. That's probably my favourite too and just happens to be the episode given away free on a computer game DVD some years ago. Must be a popular one all round!

I am not sure this will go well... If two stars already don't want to go on and a third one will make sure he won't ave to return it seems a bit odd. This can go well (Misits was very lucky when they replaced one of their main characters) but it can also seem cheap if the new guys try to emulate their precedessors too much.
And fom hat I an tell they will not even be able to continue the story where they let it off.
I am going to wait for reviews.

I don't watch this but the BBC just tweeted an announcement that there will be a series 5. I believe S4 ended tonight...

I have probably enjoyed S4 the most since the first series.
I'd gotten a little bored with George and Mitchell so the lineup change didn't bother me, still find Annie monumentally annoying though.
The rapport between Tom and Hal is fantastic.

The scene where they are pretending to be a gay couple is fantastic.
