I'm looking forward to Skyline and these:

^ Missed my chance of seeing this at an anime festival :(
It looks like it ties in with TRAVA: Fist Planet, which I really enjoyed.

Critter

I've heard that Monsters is similar to District 9 but I think it looks interesting and really want to see it.

Dragonfire

The one I'm looking forward to the most right now is Harry Potter.  After that..I'm not sure.

I do want to see Due Date and Megamind at some point...and probably Tangled.

Best one-line summary: Tarkovsky is stalking the Cloverfield monster in District 9.
That's from a German newspaper review which also mentions that the trailer couldn't be anymore misleading.

Empire have rated Monsters very highly, but I haven't read their review yet. But I loved Cloverfield and District 9 was fantastic, so if that quote is anywhere near right, I'm very interested.

I have seen neither Cloverfield nor District 9, but throwing in Tarkovsky's Stalker is what got me interested.  :)

Critter

I also loved Cloverfield and D9. Hmm, this 'Monsters' is seeming more interesting to me everyday.

Dragonfire

I hated Cloverfield...it gave me a headache.  I haven't seen District 9.
I did think Skyline looked sort of like Cloverfield from a trailer I saw.

Wow...this thread has lasted 17 pages...have there really been that many must-see movies this year?  I haven't been to the cinema much in the last 5 years...in that time, I don't think I've been inside a movie theater more than once in any year.  In 2005, I had seen 11 movies on the big screen.  So I hope to get out more next year.  I'm thinking I might try to get inside a movie theater at least once each season.  I'll probably make the new True Grit my winter movie...

I don't get it.  He executive produces a lot of things.

I remember it being that way in the 1980s, too...back when I was going to a lot more movies.  I don't know if he's started it up again or has just continued and I haven't noticed it for the last decade or two.  Maybe he rents that credit out...lots of people can then boast their new movie is a Spielberg production...
