I really can't add too much to all of the hype surrounding this film.
It is as good as they say, it is not a perfect film but it is pretty damned close.

Christophe Waltz truly is the star of this film he is amazing, that's not to take anything away from the rest of the cast as they are all great.

Planning to see this on Tuesday.

Will not heighten my expectation, as that can only lead to disappointment.

Tom

I saw it yesterday. I agree that Christophe Waltz did steal the show. He was great! Otherwise I thought this movie was okay, but awfully self-indulgent on Tarantino's part. This movie could have been easily cut by an hour. Though some of the drawn-out scenes were the best ones to watch. Especially when Waltz was in it.

One thing I am wondering:
There is a scene where the British officer is found out by Waltz's character, because he signed three glasses differently than a German would. It is correct that in Germany we use the thumb and the next two fingers to show a three. Do you really use the ring finger instead of the thumb in Britain/US? I was not aware of this. Though thinking about it, if I remember correctly, in movies when someone shows a two he usually uses the index and middle finger. But I use the thumb and index finger.
Dragonfire

I'm thinking I'll probably see this one sometime this week.  I'm not really a fan of Tarantino, but the movie looks interesting.

Yes we do do it that way.
