Rich... just so we are clear... my Blue Steel is the 1934 John Wayne Western... not the 1989 Jamie Lee Curtis cop movie. I meant to clarify that at the time... still want the review?

I will miss your weekend marathon since I will be on vacation for the complete month of august. It sound weird since I don't work, but being spoil one month by my mother sound like vacation for me (no cooking, no laundry, ... ;D)

Anyway those are good :

1.  Assassins of Youth
31. The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra
40. Reefer Madness
50. Tron (it haven't age well, but it's fun anyway)

addicted2dvd

Thanks for the suggestions... Assassins of Youth and Reefer Madness (original of course) looks so cheesy and ridiculous... haven't been able to get into the right mood for those yet... and I have had the DVDs for a good 6 or 8 years now!  :P

Just make sure at least one that you watch is one from my latest care package to you...heh heh.  Then again, you've already reviewed El Dorado...so maybe Forty Guns or Tron?  I didn't realize you had Gone With The Wind...is that a legal copy?  Be warned that was a pretty long movie for its time...  :P

addicted2dvd

yup... legal copy. And if I am not mistaken it is one of the first movies you ever sent me. The length is one of the things that keeps making me hold off on it.  :P

They aren't ridiculous... This is 2 educational films to warned the viewers about the most dangerous threat the world had ever knows. An evil that will corrupt, deprave and debauch the youth of ours nation. An evil who is even more menacing than the rock'n roll and the dancing... We talk about a drug that will turned our young as a group of hyperactive band of running criminal... The marihuana :fingerchew:

It starts with the music, after it's the dancing, after it's the marihuana and we all know what happen after... A life of violence, depravity and crime :axed:
What? No research were done and it's just an excuse to pass over the Hayes Code with an exploitation film :phew:
Rogmeister

You may be right about my sending you Gone With The Wind...I probably did that when I upgraded to the 4-disc special edition of it.

Achim

My suggestions:
    2. Basic Instinct
  22. Gone with the Wind
  31. The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra
  33. Masters of the Universe
  34. Meet John Doe
  40. Reefer Madness
  41. Return of the Magnificent Seven
  42. Ricochet
  44. Rocky Balboa
  50. Tron

I don't even know half of those (let alone the rest...) but for some I am simply interested to see how you like and rate them. 8)

 I will be honest and tell you I have never even tried it. BUT I am smart enough to know that these "educational" films were no more then a scare tactic for the kids back then. I still may have to pop at least one of them in this weekend.
