Another good episode. Nice gag with naming the housekeeper "Mrs. McGuffin" :)
This is the episode Kathy didn't like. I haven't watched the second part yet this time around, but at least in the first part, the diplomat's daughter doesn't know yet, that she has killers after her (except if I had missed something). She just runs away again and again, because she doesn't want to be babysit and rather go out partying. For now the two storylines with Ray searching for the killer and Ben escorting the daughter are separate as far the characters is concerned.

Chicago Holiday - Part 1

This is a fun episode... I did enjoy it. Though I seen the teenage daughter of ambassador (or some VIP) running off to party on more then one show before. So that kinda took away from it a little for me. But the whole list on the match cover thing added to the storyline. The teenage girl seems to look familiar to me... but I couldn't place her. When I went to IMDB I find out she was on a single episode of Friday the 13th: The Series that I watched not too long ago. Other then that I didn't see anything I would recognize her from. So it must have been that.

She also looked familiar to me. But for me it's the movie "Independence Day" from which I know her from. She played Randy Quaid's character's daughter.


I just finished watching a "Corner Gas" episode and it had a guest star, which just reminded me of someone, when it finally hit me: It was Gordon Pinsent, Robert Fraser (Benton's dead father) from Due South. I finally recognized his voice. I almost wouldn't have recognized him. I didn't know that he was still active.

Catch up time. Been a rough week...

They Eat Horses, Don't They?

Have I said how much I like all the guest stars they have on this show?  :bag: Another 2 great additions to the cast this episode. Ruichard Moll (Bull from Night Court) as a collector of poop. Reminds me of the Simpsons episode with the "retirement grease"  :laugh:

I've always enjoyed Teri Polo. Possible because I enjoyed her in Northern Exposure and Sports Night, two of my favorite TV shows ever. (Either one would make a great Marathin  :thumbup: )

It's cool to see Ray completely trust Fraser. Something as out there as smelling the meat and Ray is behind his partner 100%.  :thumbup:

My least favorite episode so far. Not sure why. It just didn't really grab me. I did like the dilemma Fraser got himself into at the beginning with Diefenbaker, telling him to follow the car, then pointing out he will follow it till he catches it or his dies.

Some great interaction with Diefenbaker at the beginning and the end. It's a great relationship Fraser and his wolf have. The dog that plays the part is absolutely beautiful too. Very cool  :thumbup:

This episode seemed a bit more serious that the others so far. I enjoyed it.

I agree with Pete, the Ambasador's daughter running amuck type of thing has been done a lot. They did a good job with it though. Making it a two parted probably helped.

This episode was a bit different as it didn't have Fraser and Ray working together. I have to say I missed the interaction. Not much with the wolf either, although it was funny at the beginning when Diefenbaker knew Frasers ideas of what to do were lame.  :laugh:

Glad to see Ray and Fraser working the case together again.  :thumbup: The episode wrapped up nicely.

A nice bonus in this episode. A couple of great arrangements by a singer named Holly Cole, including "Que Sera Sera". I had not noticed them previously but they jumped out at me tonight. I'll have to grab some of her music.

I agree that they did a good job wrapping up this story. I had to laugh at Ray getting stuck in the garbage chute.... but felt it was a little to obvious he would come un-stuck at just the right time. Over-all it was a really fun two-part episode.

This is a great episode... I enjoyed every second of it. Matter of fact this is (IMO) the best episode since the pilot movie.  It is a great storyline. I also liked that Diefenbaker was a big part of this episode. I missed him in the last couple episodes where he was barely there. They really fell into something great when they decided on having the wolf in this series.

But one thing I notice is they seemed to forget all about the wolf being deaf thing. There has been a few times now that they showed Fraser give Diefenbaker commands without looking him in the face to do so. Or am I just imagining things?  :P

This episode brings us a little Christmas in July. While not a bad episode... one that had a few laughs in it. this is my least favorite episode so far. And it could be that I am just not used to it yet... but I didn't care for the whole Fraser's father thing. I mean the show was so good without doing this. At this point at least it feels like a step backwards. It basically feels like to me that they are adding something into the mix that is just not needed. Maybe I will see it differently once I get to see him in it more.. but I don't know.
