I always really liked this two-parter. It is the finale of the Canadian season 3 (for the US release it is in the middle of season 3).
In this two-parter Ray and Fraser have a big falling out and these episodes will prove if they can have as good of a friendship as Fraser had with the other Ray.
This episode also answers the question if Dief is deaf or not and explains the confusion in earlier episodes.

A fun continuation and a good season ending.
It is fun to see Francesca interrogating a crook :)
A familiar face from Corner Gas appears in this episode: Janet Wright.

We Are the Eggmen

Since starting season 2 I have found that I just didn't care for this series as much as I had. But I must admit... this episode I enjoyed. It felt like the episodes from season 1. I got a kick at the end of the episode with them throwing the eggs to get the bad guys. Was a fun episode.

Starman
This episode I have mixed feelings about. I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the previous episode. But it was still pretty good. Some of it was pretty out there... and some of the attempts at humor didn't work for me. But over all not a basic average episode I guess.

Some Like It Red

The description of this one sounded funny when I read it... but it didn't work for me. It really wasn't funny at all. And I found myself wanting to doze while I was trying to watch it. I just had a bit of a hard time keeping my attention on it.

Just calling attention to this one again.
I only have "season 4" to go (which is the second half of US's season 3).
But it would be more fun, if more people are joining in again.
Maybe some of the newer members are even interested to catch up. The complete series is still available fairly cheap at Amazon.com.

Dragonfire

I failed horribly at this one.  :lol
But I did like what I saw to begin with.  I just didn't get back to it.

Yeah me too. I just stopped watching. Got the urge to move on to other stuff and never came back so far.

4.01 Dr. Longball (1998-09-23)

Director: Larry McLean
Cast: Paul Gross (Constable Benton Fraser), Callum Keith Rennie (Stanley "Ray" Kowalski), Beau Starr (Lt. Harding Welsh), Camilla Scott (Toni Lake), Tony Craig (Detective Jack Huey/Hayseed), Tom Melissis (Detective Dewey/Hayseed), Ramona Milano (Deputy Bernie), Gordon Pinsent (Fraser Sr.), Dean McDermott (Bubba Dean), Max Gail Jr. (Wilson Welsh), Wanda Cannon (Olivia Murtagh), Richard Fitzpatrick (Woody), Bruce Weitz (Huck), Avery Saltzman (Hector Proulx), Dan Redican (Booth Announcer), Jon Cubrt (Rusty Barstead), Reg Dreger (Winston Cohoon), Thomas Mitchell (Kelly Olsen), Joseph Di Mambro (Pete Consentino)

I think it is time to finally continue with this marathon. This season set has been lying on my DVD player for months now begging me to watch it.
As soon as I put the DVD into the drive and the menu came up, the theme music put me right back into the mood to watch this TV series. I just love the theme.
The episode itself though is nothing special. It concentrates on Lt. Welsh and his brother too much and we hardly have any interaction between Fraser and Ray.

Harding Welsh), Camilla Scott (Inspector Margaret Thatcher), Tony Craig (Detective Jack Huey), Tom Melissis (Detective Dewey), Ramona Milano (Francesca Vecchio), Gordon Pinsent (Fraser Sr.), Dean McDermott (Constable Turnbull), Philip Granger (Tim Kelly), Tyrone Benskin (Jeff Storey), Clare Coulter (Barbara Kowalski), Dan MacDonald (Derek Kowalski), Gordon Tootoosis (Quinn), Matthew Bennett (Jack Goody), Trevor Blumas (Young Fraser), Michaela Mathieu (Diane Bowen), Garfield Andrews (Bruce Card)

Better than the previous episode. It has more of the spirit of a Due South episode. Also Francesca had more screentime, which is always a plus.
