COMCAST SUCKS!!!
Damn if my cable box's hard drive didn't go up on me again!!! This is the second time in the last few months! And what a time to go up! I had a load of stuff on there (It was about 40% full - About 25 programs) that I haven't had the chance to watch yet. Including like 4 episodes of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles  as well as a 3 or 4 episodes of the new Knight Rider... about 3 episodes of Fringe and several new shows this season I was hoping to check out (Eleventh Hour, My Own Worst Enemy).

I would have had a lot of this watched but I have been concentrating on my Horror marathon... so I just haven't been able to get to as much of it as I would normally have.

Sorry Pete. I've had that happen to me as well. I didn't loose as much programming as you did but it still sucked. O now make sure I have the important shows recording on more than one DVR

yeah... it really sucks when crap like this happens. At least my marathon is almost over! (I can't believe tomorrow is the last day already!!!)

Thanks for the links Karsten.... I will definitely have to figure out where I left off and catch up that way!

OMG!!! 2 new cable boxes in 1 day!!!

After the cable guy left this morning I turned off the cable box so I could finish my movie. After my movie I decided to see what is on cable at the time. And what happens? The power light comes on... but no picture and no sound! So I instantly call Comcast. They get in touch with the guy that put the box in earlier this morning and sent him back over. Turns out he replaced a bad box with another bad box! This one was reverting back to HD (for HDTVs) every time it was turned off.

I think I am finally set now though. Everything seems to be working right... and it comes off and on again fine this time. The true test will be when I do my first recording.  :P

I hope it is working for you now.  Cable problems are so annoying.  Recently, some of my movie channels went out and it took almost week for them to get to get it fixed.  The first time, the cable guy didn't show up.  When called, first was told that the tech claimed it had fixed itself which it hadn't, then they said that no one was home and no one answered the phone, which also wasn't true.  There was no call and I was here.  Rescheduled for the next day, again a huge window of time when they could come - like between noon and 7.  Sat around and waited..finally called to check again and was told it was scheduled for the next day.  Grrrrrrrr.  Idiots.  Then when the guy was finally coming out - 3 days after he was supposed to be here - they figured out it was something in the office or something they could fix so the cable boxes would pick up the channels again.  Double grrrrrrr.

I think I better take some time to watch a few shows on my DVR... I just noticed the hard drive on my cable box is almost full! (up over 80% full!) If somethings happens like above and I loose all of this I will have a fit!   :voodoo: :surrender:

But don't worry... I am not forgetting my Western marathon. My not watch as many as I wanted to... since I wanted to watch most all of them (why I started so early)... but I am still planning on having a decent marathon! :)
