.........A Vampire, a Werewolf and a Ghost are sharing a house together.

If you're like me you were waiting for the punchline, which as it happens Being Human is really a rather good series, judging by the first 2 episodes.

Being Human is a 6 episode series currently showing on BBC3, or available here on the BBCiplayer.

I've been meaning to post about this, because what with it being a drama crossed with horror, I couldn't help thinking it would be Pete's favourite TV show! :P Missed the second episode, but I'll watch it on iPlayer before the next.

Damn!... I was going to check it out... but only viewable in the UK. I guess I will have to look on the torrent sites... Thanks for the info. :)

Have been watching this it is very good, i to thought it was going to be a spoof comedy from it's description but have been pleasantly surprised. The bit where they were watching
the DVD of the Vampire sex scene was very well done when the bloke fell to the floor and the bloody footprints walked across the floor
Would say there's a bit of dark humour mixed in there as well

Definitely. Like you I thought it was something else, more of a sitcom. But it's a proper comedy drama that the UK used to do very well and now only occasionally in that it can be funny, but it can also be serious if it wishes.

I'm sure you'll like it, Pete.

Achim

Like Pete I cannot sample it in the iPlayer. But it certainly seems like something I want to look out for on DVD later...

I've watched the pilot and still have no idea where this series is going. But the characters seem to be interesting.

But what kind of dialect is the werewolf speaking? I had to download subtitles because sometimes I didn't understand him at all.

:hysterical:

Well IMdB says Russell Tovey is from Essex, so it's a southern dialect without much to mark it out. The series is set in Bristol I think, which I suppose has a hint of being able to trip up you foreigners, so I did wonder if he was a local lad!

Maybe I am better at hearing american english than actual british english.  :training:

I had the same problem with Dominic Monaghan's dialect in the latest Chuck episode (2x12). I never had a problem understanding Dominic, neither on LOTR nor on LOST.

Today I got my Being Human: Series One DVD and I have to say that I am a bit disappointed. The pilot episode is completely missing and when I was about to cmplain about it in my Amazon review I had to read that they replaced a lot of the original musics with some generic tunes.

I mean c'mon! Can a DVD release of a show produced in 2008/2009 really be suprising for someone so that he actually forgot to ensure the music rights?!?
