Well, true to Clarkson's word it is still on a plinth in the studio and I bet the bugger still works, so they should do one last trial: freeze! Nah, they're right; leave it alone, it's earned retirement...

Well, i got my car back.

Turns out the anti-theft device went bonkers - it wouldn't recognize my keys - hence it prevented the car from starting. The "no bus" message was because the computer didn't respond. The guy at Chrysler said it's not a problem they see often, that the cold probably just triggered a manufacturing defect.

I certainly do hope so...
