Hi,

over the last fortnight I have been away from the forums a lot. Since I've begun to use the watched feature I added season discs to my database the moment after I watched it. But I never bothered to enter a runtime.

But with the cover scanning and so on it became tiresome to do it when I wanted to watch the next disc. Thus I decided to get it done and profile all my season discs and while I was at it I entered the runtimes as well (some of you may have seen one or two runtime contributions to the central database).

But now it's done, I am through. 1107 season disc profiles in 195 season profiles are created with a total runtime of 115 days, 8 hours and 57 minutes.

Now I can enjoy watching DVDs without bothering to enter them first. :)

Congratulations! That must have been a lot of work. TV child profiles are more of a problem, but I only fill this stuff in when I add an Watched event.

I have not done heavy profiling for quite some time now.... Basically since I have my Apple computer, which is since last November. :bag:

It was. And even now they are only little more than basic profiles, containg a name, a runtime, genres and a cover image.

Congratulations, Karsten. It is a big accomplishment.

I've been using goodguy's Name Variants plugin with increased attention lately. When he released it (April 2007), I started out with 3,300 cast variants and now I'm down to under 300. Same with crew. I think I can, I think I can...  :training:

I got rid of the DVDP Cast & Crew a while ago and replaced it with IMDb data (He said 'Jehova'!). There may be less data now but at least the linking works.

 I choose the IMDb name as my linking name. It's essentially the same result as if one were to use Invelos' CLT results since their data is so heavily IMDb-sourced anyway.

Wow, have the profiles grown since then. Now they have a Produced Date (air date of the first episode of that disc), CoO, cast of the episodes, aspect ratios, ...

They can nearly be considered as useful profiles. ;)
