Anybody interested in taking the site ?

Don't panic !!!! I won't close it if nobody wants it.


Since I'm selling (more like trying to actually...) most of my DVD's and I my interests are changing I thought maybe it should be owned by someone who's still interested in the sites subject.  Here are the conditions.

1: This offer is only available to existing well know members of the forum, I don't want to give to someone who will just shut it down the next minute or turn it into a site to make money with.
2: You will become full owner of the web site and the domain names.
3: I will continue to host it for you at no charge as long as it remains what it is.....a forum for DVD Collectors and enthusiasts. You will only have to pay for renewing the domain name.  I can remain the registrar or if you prefer we can transfer it to a registrat of your own.  If you don't want my hosting services then we can transfer it to your own host as well.
4: If you want to keep hosting it with me you will have full access to the web hosting account (cPanel) just like you would with any other host.
5: You will have to agree not to sell the database to anyone.
6: The reviews written by our members are NOT to be removed.

If nobody is interested then I will keep hosting it but I don't have the time anymore to make changes and do fun stuff.  Until next summer I would only be able to install software updates and run database maintenance on a regular basis.

Actually my registrar is probably closer to your side of the pond.....depending on which pond we're talking about.  I register my domain through V2Reg which is located in Ireland.  They cost me 9.99$ U.S

Basically interested and 10 dollars is not that much. I am just thinking about pulling into my own webspace contract or letting it stay with you. But it's nothing personal, it's just a question of maintenance.

Whichever you prefer, I wouldn't feel insulted if you moved it to a web space you alreay own, it makes perfect sense.

FYI, the bandwidth usage has been increasing lately, here's a few numbers.

June: 1.55G
July: 1.47G
Aug: 1G
Sep: 2G
Oct: 2G
Nov: 3.38G
Dec: 425 Megs so far

Current disk usage: 78 Megs.
Server: Linux/cPanel

If you want I can give you Admin access to the forum, that would give you a chance to look at the admin panel and the portal.

   Something I didn't consider........if Karsten moves it to his side of the pond that's gonna make the site faster for Jon............he'll be able to write more bad things in a day !
