It is cheaper Achim. Fallout 3 GOTY Addition is $68 and normal Fallout 3 is just $48. Should I play 3 before I play New Vegas?

Also I found the review if anyone is interested.

No, there is no need for that, they are not connected in their story. Some of the mythology is the same, but you'll have the same getting into 3 or New vegas, so same difference. The advantage you'd have is to get the better game for less money and by the time you are done with it you either don't want to play New Vegas anymore () or at least some of the bugs will already have been patched out ;)

If you get GOTY for $68 it's definitely preferable over a $48 dollar regular vcersion, as it includes all DLC, a value way more than $20 on PSN, I am sure.

I added both of them too my list haha. I have a habit of every year writing massive Christmas lists for my Mum, I believe it makes it easier for her to choose. I of course never expect to get everything on the list, but if I get 2 or 3 DVD's out of a list of 30 then I'm happy. My games list for this year so far already has 13 games and a xbox360 on it . It's fun to dream isn't it? ;)

So I was on a gaming forum and asked the question regarding game prices in Australia. I got a few answers but so far this one seems the most likely.

QuoteWhat i've heard is that its merely due to towns and cities being so spread apart, which adds to the transport costs to transport it to all locations. It's not only videogames, but food will be more expensive the further inland you go. Unlike the states or Europe, where everything is closer proximity to each other. I'm not certain if thats the main reason why, but it seems more plausible then say there isnt a big enough market here.

So it could simple be due to the geography of our country, with all the towns and cities being so distant from each other. Sure this is still only a guess, but it seems plausible enough to be the truth.

Hey Achim! This might be of interest: How To Play Caravan

But I have a big dilemma now.. I just received Fable III yesterday!

Fable III ..... New Vegas ..... Fable III ..... New Vegas .....  :stars:

Achim

Thanks, Sebastien, that was really helpful and much better than trying to work it out myself...

I have currently 4 games I want to play:
Dead Rising 2
Fallout New Vegas
Mafia II
Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare DLC

This weekend it'll be RDR, due to the double XP weekend .
:hysterical: Awesome. The same apparently happens (so I have read) if you choose the NCR guy. Beagle seem to be a real dud. ...I hope you don' t consider this logical conclusion a spoiler for your next play through.
So who is playing Fable 3 right now? From all the reviews I have heard that they pretty much ruined it with the new combat system of basically just spamming one button.

snowcat

I quite like Fable 3.... I don't think its really ruined it.

I don't think it's too easy. Yes, the combat is easy, but that was to be expected. The combat has always been easy in Fable.

But I actually love the combat. Being able to swing your sword, shoot a lightning bolt then finish them with a bullet in head, all in a single fluid motion? Hell yeah!

It is FAR from ruining it for me.

And so far, I really love the game. The side quests are really awesome and diverse so far!

Love John Cleese as the butler (Jasper?)! Really funny!

The only gripe I have is the slowdowns. Especially when it makes you miss during jobs. So annoying.

Critter

I'm going by what I heard on the Good Game reviews. The two hosts of the show did like the game for the most part, and commented on things like great voice acting but both of them said they were quite disappointed by the combat controls being so simplified. On the other hand though I have heard that the gay communities are thrilled with another game aside from Sims that you can marry whichever gender you want which is cool.

It's funny. I'm playing Fallout: New Vegas very differently that what I did on Fallout 3. I still do exploring. A lot of it actually. But while I do discover places, I rarely enter them to explore further. Kind of like I don't want to spoil anything, and enter a place before I'm "supposed" to.

I ran into a bunch of Deathclaws the other. I was doing well. killed about 5 or 6 of them before they even noticed I was there (thank you sniper rifle!). Guess what happened? Of course! While I was focused on the ones that were far ahead of me, I got jumped by 4 of 'em from behind!  :hysterical:

And as usual, I keep getting sidetracked. Start doing a quest, find a new place. Talk to someone who gives you a new quest. Do that quest, which leads to another quest. And all that time, the ED-E MY LOVE quest has been my "active quest" since Primm, yet I still haven't completed it!

-----

Also, about Fable III.. while the writers come up with great dialog and side quests.. the main quest lacks originality. It still follows the same track as Fable II, which followed the same track as Fable! Something bad happened when you're young, you get exiled. So some quests, grow up, meet "the baddy".. Get sent away for a "long time - you should say goodbye to your family". When you come back 1 or 2 quests and the main story is over. (I still haven't "gone away" - but so far, that where Fable III is headed). Good thing the side quests are awesome! Because the main story so far?
