That's very good. And there are a couple more when you look, like Buffy and Angel sets.

Yes there are some good deals, i was never in to the X-Files that much but at that price i could not resist  ::) I'm just waiting for the cancellation E-Mail which normally follows when you find a deal like this.

Ha! Yes, I have all the box sets (though I plan to not have seasons 8/9 when I finally watch them! ) and in the early days I'd be lucky to get one for that price.

You know... I thought I would be very disappointed when I got around to seasons 8 and 9... but after watching them I felt differently... yes was different... and not as good in my opinion... but definitely not bad either. Of course had some episodes better then others  like any series... but the cast change... that I thought would ruin the series for me... wasn't that bad.

I think we've talked about this before. I've been "watching" season 9 for a couple of years! I just can't find the time to watch another episode, because I feel like it's a waste. That doesn't happen with anything else. Season 8 was a massive struggle too.
I vaguely remember getting as far as Scully having the baby with the powers? Utter rubbish! Jack-Jack in The Incredibles is much better! :P Completely against what I felt the original seasons were supposed to be about. In fact the whole arc turned out to be nonsense and that really disappointed me; I felt like the writers had ran out of steam and were making it up as they go along. The clones really annoyed me because I think that's a plot device you can use a couple of times, not hinge the whole lot on it. Yet in the early seasons, I was convinced Chris Carter at least knew what the great truth was. X-Files was at it's absolute best throughout all the seasons when it aspired to be nothing more than a monster of the week show. I really miss that.
