Half-way mark of the October marathon, how are we all doing?

I'm at 10 movies watched in 14 days. At that rhythm, I don't think I'll make it to 31, but, I'm still quite happy with this result. I mean, these 10 movie in 14 days are already 10 movies more than what I watched in the last 2 months!!

Hope you're all still enjoying your marathons, I know I'm enjoying mine! (and I've been making some good watching choices hehe)

I think you are all doing great!

If you haven't checked my thread lately I am up to 54 movies and 21 TV eps.... well on my way to breaking last year's record!  :yahoo:

I've been watching a LOT of horror (an other) movies but I haven't had time to post them yet!  :-[ I'll try and do so in the next day or so.

Just updated my list, and I realize somehing: there's very big chances this marathon will spill into November for me.

It's already the 18th of October, and there's still so many movies I wanted to watch for this: Nightmare on Elm Street, Child's Play, Scream, The Evil Dead movies... There's so many classic I wanted to see, that I will obviously not have time to watch before the end of October!

And then, there's the ones I've bought, and have yet to see for the first time: Friday the 13th, Doom, Darkness, Dead Heat, All the Romero zombie movies I have, Cloverfield, The Descent, High Tehsion, Hostel II, Saw IV, Hannibal Rising, Constantine, The Hitcher, etc. etc. etc. (wow, never realized I had that many horror movies! And I keep saying I don't really like horror... guess that's not entirely true!)

Spill into November? How very dare you!  :tease:

Well, one thing's for sure, I will not pull a "Supermarket", I won't start watching Christmas movies on Nov.1st (yeah, I know, Americans have Thanksgiving in between, we don't in Canada). Might as well keep watching horror!

ok, it's a giallo, not horror, but somehow I remembered it differently
Many giallo can count as horror as well. If Psycho is an horror classic any giallo is and by the way an human killer is a monster no?

I have seen it before.  This was probably about the 4th time I've seen it.  I love it.  I remember when the movie came out and the previews freaked me out so much that I had no intention of ever seeing it.  Then a few years later I came across the movie on tv late one night and started watching not knowing what it was.  I ended up getting the DVD not long after that if I remember right.

The movie has a good mix of humor with the scary, something that doesn't always work.  I liked how the ghosts were handled and thought they looked cool.  It has a good amount of suspense and I didn't think it was predictable at all.  Great movie all around.

Exactly what I think. I mentioned the same thing when reviewing An American Werewolf in London for the horror marathon. I did say that Shaun of the Dead is an excellent comedy-horror, but it's far more comedy than horror and a serious bit towards the end doesn't really work. I forgot about The Frighteners. Which is especially bad because I have it in a boxset with American Werewolf and Shaun... :-[
