New sitcom... just watched the pilot episode.

Do Not Disturb
A glamorous New York hotel has a not-so-glamorous staff in this multi-camera comedy project from FOX.

My Thoughts:
When I found out that Jerry O'Connel (Sliders) was in this show I was a little more excited to see it since I haven't seen him in anything since Sliders. Which was fine but... for some reason I had a hard time getting into this series. It is a sitcom and I didn't laugh a single time within the entire episode. Over-all it was just an OK episode. And IMO the pilot episode of any series needs to be better then just OK. I will probably give it another week or two... but at this point I don't see myself sticking with this series unless they step it up a few notches.

Didn't Jerry play a cop on some coroner show?

He probably did... but I never seen it. I think he played a part in a show called Crossing Jorden (or something like that?) but is a show I never seen a single episode of.

yes he did. Crossing Jordan was the show. Starring Jill Hennesy (from Law and Order). He played a detective who moved to Boston from some small town in the midwest (Indiana maybe?). Joined the cast in season 2 or 3.

He was also in Joe's Apartment (I think that was the name), another sitcom on Fox. I watched it once. My guess is it was as good as the show you watched last night Pete   I like him a lot but he just can't pull off the comedies. He was good in Crossing Jordin though, and of course Sliders.

I didn't know that "Joe's Appartment" was a sitcom, I only know the movie:

hmmmm... what was the sitcom I'm thinking of then

EDIT: Alright - this is going to drive me crazy. If anyone knows of a Fox sitcom similar to Joe's Apartment that only lasted a couple of episodes please post here. Either that or I'm completely losing it... which is very possible  :weirdo:

Not sure what you are thinking on the other Sitcom Rick... but I thought there was one too.  I think you are right though... Comedies is just not his thing.

But as I said... I will give it at least 1 more episode to see if it will grow on me.

Also appeared in a couple of episodes of Las Vegas/Crossing Jordan crossover episodes.

I recorded the second episode of this days ago... and I still haven't gotten myself to watch it.
