So Karsten,

Are you gonna start the next round ?

I think he did:  "Free Hint: The shooting was quite wet."

Well it used to be Greek, but now it's a software developing term! The version actually released to the masses is referred to as the "Alpha" release. The "Beta" is the version immediately before. All systems go, but it hasn't been checked thoroughly for errors.

For instance, paying users of DVD Profiler have access to beta versions as they are released, but you have to accept a disclaimer that it might not work correctly. Then the beta users tell Ken about problems and he tweaks them before the final alpha release.

Windows XP was in beta right up to Service Pack 2 being released ...  :tease: Sorry, IT Techie humour. The sort that never gets you laid.  :bag:

Actually in french "Beta" means a bit stupid, not the brightest star in the sky.  I thought it had that meaning in other languages too.

Who played the leading roles?
Can I ignore the question? Because the question of the leading roles makes it far too easy to query every movie in IMDb. In future that would be the first question to ask and ending the game quite fast.

That's a very good point, I was also thinking the same from the other thread. Touti gave me the details of which Academy Awards the film won and if I know the year, then I would have the answer right away.

A few more rules are needed. Suggestions?

We could make it so that the question need to have a Yes/No answer, nothing else.

Just catching up but I believe this would work better too.

Yes or No or even a possible Maybe .

How about limiting the possibilities of IMDB searching by stating that questions may only relate to the content of the movie (Plot & Actors).  I'm sure we can do that without bringing over some guardian of the rules from another forum.

This works for me. No more guardians

I didn't understand what the new rules are... BTW did the movie premiere in the last 5 years?

Side note for Touti: if "it is forbidden to ask questions that would lead to the answer" ... then no question about the movie is allowed  :P

I'm glad someone finally got the joke, I was beginning to think my french "humour" was fading.

Anyway, time to get back to the game.  What was the last question ?  And was it answered ?

:slaphead: Missed the joke completely!

I think someone asked about the leading roles... Answer to be determined.
