My Review:
I remember i watched this back when it first came out and i really enjoyed it then. And havent watched since actually. So i decided to revisit this and the sequal. And i have to admit that the movie was actually better then i remembered it to be. The movie is also based on a true story. A haunted house, nothing new there. But there was some great moments here and there, and the cast with Kyle Gallner in the lead did also a great job. And since its based on a true story (on the blurayset) there is a interview with the real family (the story/movie) is about. And in that interview some really interesting happens. Wich makes it that much better. Really enjoyed it, and its recommanded! Now on to the next one.

My Review:
Well, that was actually alot better then i remember it to be. This "sequel" also based on a true story they said. And me ofc, who really likes the movies based on a true story. This might be based on a true story, but i think they strechted the story a bit, but hey they made it work real nice IMHO. A fairly decent horror follow up with some great scare moments here and there. And this blurayset also delivers some great extras with the 'real and original' family the movie is based on. This is also highly recommanded.

Title: White Dog: The Masters of Cinema Series
Year: 1982
Director: Samuel Fuller
Rating: Rated 15 : Strong Language, Violence and Racist Theme
Length: 90 Min.
Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.78:1
Audio: English: PCM: Mono
Subtitles: English

Stars:
Kristy McNichol
Paul Winfield
Burl Ives
Jameson Parker
Lynne Moody
Marshall Thompson

Plot:
One of the most controversial American films of the 1980s, Samuel Fuller's White Dog was originally withheld from release in the USA and has been rarely seen since. This head-on examination of racism remains a riveting and startlingly powerful film experience, with superb performances and a brilliant score by the great Ennio Morricone.

When a young actress (Kristy McNichol) adopts a stray white Alsatian she hit with her car, she soon discovers that the dog has been conditioned to attack any black person on sight. Its only chance lies with Keys (Paul Winfield), an animal trainer focused on breaking the dog's behaviour and finding a way to eradicate its vicious instincts.

An acclaimed and daring late-career highlight for its director, White Dog amply demonstrates Fuller's clear-eyed intelligence, impassioned humanity and filmmaking dynamism. Unavailable in the UK for decades, The Masters of Cinema Series is proud to present its premiere in a new Dual Format Blu-ray™ and DVD edition.

Extras:
Scene Access
48-page booklet with an essay by Jonathan Rosenbaum; the words of Samuel Fuller; the director's "interview" with the dog; and rare archival imagery.

My Review:
Woah, i'm not 100% sure if i've seen this before, but i remember some of the scenes. This movie was recommanded to me by a good friend. And the movie didnt disappoint at all. The movie is actually a sad one, with a sad outcome. About a dog who got some real bad owners and because of that the dog wasnt always the nicest. Some great moments here and there, and some very realistic scenes in some places. All in all, a rather good horror flick with some good extras. If you are afraid of dogs, or thinking about getting one.. Dont watch this one! ;)

The canals of Venice might have been the basis for a red-coated killer in the classic DON’T LOOK NOW but that feels like a mere warm-up for the knife-play of BLOODSTAINED SHADOW, a certified giallo masterpiece!

Directed by Antonio Bido (WATCH ME WHEN I KILL), and starring the sensational Stefania Casini (SUSPIRIA), the story focuses on a slew of slayings that all point towards someone harbouring some particularly horrifying past secrets.

With all of the stylish black-gloved mayhem that the Italians specialise in, BLOODSTAINED SHADOW is a crimson-caked crime-thriller in the tradition of Dario Argento – and its classy charms more than warrant this amazing Blu-ray update!

My Review:
Well, i remember i watched this back when it first came, and i was really exicted to see Sir Anthony Hopkins in a horror movie again! And the movie didnt dissapoint at all. The story might be the oldest in the book, the exorsisme. But they make something extra out of this one. Not just the horror and the exorsisme, they gave the characters some great stories to tell, and ofc Sir Anthony Hopkins did not dissapoint at all, even tho he's getting older. A very underrated movie IHMO. And this bluray give some interesting extras. Highly recommanded. And its based on a true story, wich i really like aswell.

And ofc  (me being a fan of Jennifer Lawrence) its fun to see her in something other then the movies she's known for. The story isnt original, but they made it work. Some good moments here and there, and they have the tension trough-out. All in all a decent horror flick. Check it out.

My Review:
So, back on my horror marathon. Decided to check this norwegian horror movie out again. I bought this when it came out in 03 as a DVD. And now i upgraded it to bluray. And the transfer wasnt the best i've seen tho. But as for the movie, it wasnt as good as i rememeberd it to be. The story is ok at best, and the scare moments are only a few. But for me, there are a few big plus tho. Some great big Norwegian names, who i didnt expect to see.And we even got the Swedish actress Eva Rose who plays Maria Wern in the movie aswell. Nice surprise (for me) who enjoys Swedish crime!  All in all, a ok horror.
