3D Projector
« on: January 24, 2013, 07:29:43 PM »
Anyone got any advice on a good 3D projector with a max budget of about £3k? I'm going to redo the whole home cinema over the next year and the projector will be the centrepiece!

JVC DLA-X35

In addition to the projector you'll need 1 3D Synchro emitter and Active Shutter Glasses, which all in all will sum up to the amount you gave as limit.

Do you own this yourself? Any idea how it compares to comparitively priced Epsons?

No,

but a friend of mine has the predecessor (X-30), which except for some minor changes, is identical.
I like it for being extremely silent (almost inaudible even after several hours) and for even in daylight environment making bright and fully contrasted pictures (in 3D too!)

Cannot say anything about a comparison to Epson, sorry.

Thanks for the info. Parsec posted some good info on the Epson at Invelos so I'll buy a couple of specialist magazines and read some reviews of both tomorrow, then order!

Managed to see an Epson in action this morning so went with that! Unfortunately I  won't be able to use it for 3 weeks as I am away working from Tuesday. :(
