In this case it's more "A Spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down", isn't it?

Over-all I would say this is a fun classic musical that everyone should see at least once in their lifetime.

My Thoughts:
This one I have seen bits and pieces of before... as it was one of my late wife's favorites. So watching it today was a little bitter-sweet for  me. But this is the first time I seen it in from beginning to end. This is probably my least favorite of what I watched this weekend so far. Not that it is a bad story... just not quite as good as the previous ones I have watched. I have to admit.. after watching this film I have a new found respect for Jennifer Grey. Not only was she good in the part... but she looked good doing it. And she is someone I never found particularly attractive before. As you can see above... this edition of the film has a rather good selection of extras.

My Thoughts:
I couldn't even make it through this garbage. My brother and I tried to watch it... but I ended up turning off after about 20 minutes. And to be honest I am surprised I got as far into it as I did. I know there is a lot of fans of this type of show... but I am definitely not one of them. I found this to be no more then an offensive waste of a film. I personally hated the unneeded offensive language that was every other word even more then all of the music in  it. Matter of fact I hated it so much that I gave the DVD away as soon as I pulled it out of the player. At least I know now that I wouldn't like the series. Not that I am really surprised by the things I have heard about the show in the past. But I found it to be even worse then I ever heard.

I find South Park funny :tease:

I've even seen that one when it was release in a theater ;D

You would probably not agree with me but I watch that cartoon with my niece since she's 6 years old... we don't laugh for the same thing and I'm sure she hear worst than that at her school

edit : if one of your generous friends offer you the TV seasons someday, take them and we will work something ;D

OK... I think I am done for this weekend. I know I didn't do many at all... but it I think I did OK considering. I am sure you won't be surprised... but I imagine it will be a while before I watch another musical.

Sorry to hear addicted2dvd ... South Park really is quite funny.  Maybe you should start from season 1 episode 1.

Then when you get to the episode which helps understand All About Mormons or Trapped in the Closet (Tom Cruise and John Travolta are in the closet) ... then you will know why you are rolling on the floor  :yahoo:

But in all seriousness .. South Park, like Family Guy (and like me) , is/are an acquired taste.  A lot of people just don't like it.
Thank you
David

Also Pete even if the offensive language that you don't like is present in the TV show too it isn't as extreme as it is in the film...

Try to watch some episode online before judging South Park humour. I think the website of Comedy Channel had many of them available (I'm not sure as it is blocked for us Canadians).

It's not the Simpson but it's miles better than King of the Hill or Beavis and Butt-Head.

 :o :o

Pete willingly watched a musical?  No..excuse me, multiple musicals?  Without being forced or threatened into it? ;)  Sorry...could resist.
But I was honestly shocked to see what you picked for your weekend marathon and my jaw really did drop.
