Title: Weißblaue Geschichten
This set includes 18 of the produced 22 episodes which star Gustl Bayrhammer. For unexplained reasons, four episodes are not included. Sadly one of those is an episode which did leave a lasting impression with me. At least I think it was from this series. It was an episode guest-starring G.G. Hoffmann (the German voice of Captain Kirk and early Sean Connery)

It has been 12 years and I finally got the missing episode
Recently I found out by chance, that there is now a second volume of this anthology series, which includes the 4 episodes they had skipped in the first volume. And my memory served me right. the episode guest starred G.G. Hoffmann. Though I never found any hints on the internet that he was ever involved in the series. Nowhere this information can be found. But I recognized his voice immediately and the end credits confirmed it

Death Note: TV Drama: The Complete Collection (2015/Japan) IMDb | Wikipedia (Germany)

I am fan of the Death Note series. I have read and enjoyed the manga series. Seen the anime adaption. I am a big fan of the 2006 movie adaption.
This 2015 TV series is a retelling. Quality wise it is similar to the 2006 movie. It very much reminded me of it. From the actors to the sets. At first it seemed they are following the same path, but very early on you notice changes in the characters. A lot of the plans that Light has in the manga/movies, he also has here, but somehow they all seem to fail and he has to find new solutions to get out of his troubles. So even if you know the story, this series is worth a watch. I really enjoyed it from beginning to end.

Plot:

My Thoughts:

I haven't read the book. But I enjoyed this movie. I know the movie is not that critically acclaimed, but I really like it. I have seen it in the past on streaming services. And I decided to add it to my collection recently and still enjoyed this movie the second time around. But that may be mostly because of the 80s nostalgia in this movie.

My Thoughts:

I have seen this movie at the cinema with my wife and we both really enjoyed it. And I enjoyed it just as much the second time around on Blu-ray. The way the game world is potrayed and how Guy finds out about it and begins to master it and fun to watch. And I found the ending very satisfying.

Plot:

My Thoughts:

I heard a lot of praising things about it. But the trailer never won me really around. But I had decided to buy it, because I thought it should be something exactly to my liking. I finally came around to watch it after it won so many Oscars. But I must say, I was really bored by it and it took multiple sessions to completly get through it. I should have listened to my initial gut reaction to this movie.

I felt pretty much the same from the trailer. When I spotted the 4K release at a pawn shop for only $2 brand new sealed I grabbed it anyway for that price. Then The Oscars got me excited to watch it, this film is one of the reasons I decided on a 4K marathon for the rest of this month! LOL Now your review has me concerned again!

Plot:

My Thoughts:

This was now the second time that I have watched this movie. I took it out of my storage, because I think my son is now ready to watch this movie and he is a big LEGO fan. We have a lot of LEGO sets and we play a lot of LEGO games on Nintendo Switch, like Marvel Superheroes and LEGO City Undercover.
This time around I watched it alone though, because I had the urge to watch it again in original English. Hopefully we come around to watch together the German dub.
I enjoy this movie. Especially the ending and all the references to 80s LEGO. For example the astronaut with the broken helmet. I have a lot of those broken helmets in my old LEGO collection.
I also have LEGO Batman Movie in my collection, which I remember that I had enjoyed more than this. I will watch it soon.
