Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief
I went to see Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief last week. I had recently read the book and enjoyed it overall even though I think it had some issues. The movie is entertaining, but it could have been better. It does seem to be trying to be the next Harry Potter. There are several similarities even though there are differences. This one comes off more as Harry Potter light. The characters are ok, but not as interesting. The plot is interesting while still being ultimately predictable. There are a lot of changes from the book that I still haven’t figured out. The acting is ok, though nobody really stood out.
