I know it is the craps when it happens to you, but like the airlines .. imagine the number of packages they handle in a day.  Some going south can only be expected.  We are dealing with humans after all.  But it is the service you receive (with airlines non existent) when this happens which is most important.  Glad to hear that this is working out for you.  Overall, except for the increase/ripoff of shipping cost, I have been pretty happy with Amazon.
Thank you
David

I agree.. but I must say seeing it happen to two orders in a row is a bit disheartening.

First today my disappointment, when noticing that amazon.de now adds shipping cost to Blu-ray orders. And now I got notification from Sakapo, that one of my TV sets there is on sale and got a huge shock at the checkout:

Items:    $12.49
Shipping & handling:    $16.47

What is happening!?
Looks like it applies non-German shipping rates.

Strange. I cannot figure out, how it can come to $16.47. Even if the item counts as multiple items, it doesn't add up to that value.

I had the same problem recently where they wanted to charge almost 30 bucks for just one season. I contacted them and they told me to order the item and they would reduce the shipping charges. And so they did.

So far this is the response I got:

Hello,

I need to look into the problem with where your additional shipping costs is from, and it'll take a bit more time than usual.

I just wanted to let you know I'll write back in 2-3 business days with more information.
