What got you interested in movies: My father was more of a film lover than a television program lover. And it is the only thing that I have in common with him. You would think being forced to watch what he wanted when I was growing up, would have had the opposite effect.

Got to like horror while getting properly scared by The Omega Man, watching it alone and being inappropriately young.

Nice! Thank you, Antares.

What got you interested in movies: No idea. Certainly nothing in the family, except an interest in photography (Dad) and a love of stories (Mum), and the final key, comics. I just found an affinity. I'm often fascinated by the subjects I end up watching when I wouldn't go near a similar book.

Approximate number of movies seen: Guessing like the rest of you... 2000?

What got you interested in movies
Nothing specific, it just grew slowly over time, and exploded once I started collecting DVD. But I enjoy movies for what they, little pieces of escapism. I'm really not the kind of guy to argue endlessly about the merit or discredit of one director or another. I just watch a movie, and then I like or not. Simple as that.

What are your movie tastes
Mostly science-fiction and action/adventure movies. I love animation, especially Japanese as they seem to treat it as medium like any other. I've been known to enjoy a horror movie here and there too. Actually, now that I think of it, a good movie is a good movie, no matter what genre, style, subject, etc.

Approximate number of movies seen
Like I ever kept count! I'd say probably around 2000.

What got you interested in movies:
They are movies!

What are your movie tastes:
My ad hoc answer would be "Science Fiction" but when I look upon my shelves, I've got a lot more RomComs and Action movies than SciFi.

Basically I like a lot of genres but my interest lowers the older the movie is. I'm basically Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap I only jump in my own lifetime (with a few exceptions).

I also watch very rarely horror or splatter.

Approximate number of movies seen:
Don't know but I guess more than 2,000. (I've seen most of my movies on DVD and I've seen a lot more movies on telly).

What got you interested in movies: This is impossible to say since I've been watching movies since I was a kid.  As with most kids, it probably started with Disney movies including Mary Poppins, Darby O'Gill and the Little People and various animated films.
What are your movie tastes: Westerns is probaby my favorite genre.  I also like comedies, some sci-fi and fantasy stuff and animated features.  Oh, and super-hero movies which I guess is a sub-genre of fantasy.  I don't care much for horror...at least not the graphic horror of today.  I do like old-time monster movies, though.
Approximate number of movies seen: My parents never told me "Now this is your first movie...so keep a journal of all your movies all your life...so I have absolutely no idea and a guess would seem pointless.
3 favourite films of all time: Again, pointless because of all the movies I've seen, how could I narrow it down to just 3?  But just for the heck of it, I would probably guess Rio Bravo, McLintock! and Superman: The Movie.
Favourite film 1900-1909: The Great Train Robbery (the first western)
Favourite film 1910-1919: Hell's Hinges (western) with William S. Hart
Favourite film 1920-1929: Tumbleweeds with William S. Hart
Favourite film 1930-1939: Tough decasde but I'll pick The Wizard of Oz
Favourite film 1940-1949: She Wore A Yellow Ribbon
Favourite film 1950-1959: Rio Bravo
Favourite film 1960-1969: McLintock!
Favourite film 1970-1979: Jaws
Favourite film 1980-1989: Raiders of the Lost Ark
Favourite film 1990-1999: Unforgiven
Favourite film 2000-2009: Spider-Man
Top 3-10 directors: John Ford, Alfred Hitchcock, Steven Spielberg, Joel & Ethan Coen
Top 3-10 actors: John Wayne, James Stewart, Henry Fonda, Tom Hanks
Top 3-10 actresses: Katharine Hepburn, Maureen O'Hara, Jodie Foster
3-10 most underrated directors: Henry Hathaway, Penny Marshall, Lawrence Kasdan
3-10 most underrated actresses: Maureen O'Hara, Julia Roberts, Meg Ryan

Best 3-10 action movies:
Best 3-10 fantasy movies: King Kong (1933), Jason and the Argonauts, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

What got you interested in movies:
Nothing huge or massively important to anyone else, I watched the Lion King at the cinema and It instantly became my favourite film, it made me look past a the images and at a story (I was 5 when the Lion King came out.)

What are your movie tastes:
I like a mix of everything really, although my favourite genre is comedy. Comedy is so hit and miss with people though that people often don't understand my taste in it, or why some of the films that are in my top films are there.

Approximate number of movies seen:
