Season 1 has 13 episodes and season 2 has 9 episodes. If they wanted it in 2 separate releases they should have broken it up evenly with 11 episodes each.
According to Wikipedia, they aired the two seasons in the US divided as 12 to 10 episodes. Not 13 to 9. Which looks a little more even.

A nice continuation to the last episode. I enjoyed seeing Julian Sands guest starring in the last couple episodes. I always liked him in the Warlock movies.

Vicki takes a case to recover a piece of furniture. Once found she discovers an ancient box inside which is said that no living creature can handle without giving into the temptation to open it.
My Thoughts:
After I was expecting that this is where the series went downhill and the reason the series didn't last very long. But after watching this episode I have to rethink that... as I loved this one! Sure they whole groundhog day thing has been done many times over... several series has done a version of it. But I really liked how this one was done. For a TV episode the day restarted more times then I was expecting it to... which definitely added to the enjoyment. I must say that at least to this point... this is my favorite episode of the series.
