Good luck and enjoy!  :D

The Mask (1994)

The Plot: Bank clerk Stanley Ipkiss is transformed into a manic super-hero when he wears a mysterious mask.

My Thoughts: Well, this actually was really good, as about as good as I remember it. The dance scene at the Coco Bongo is a part that I always enjoy. You never hear music like that! Of coarse dearest daddy wouldn't know. :tease: 4 out of 5.

Yes, I know, very generic, but these pics are hard to find!! So I'll probably have a lotta pics like this. And the episodes may not be in order because what one site says another says different.

1. The Terrible Twos Two boys gain superpowers and start wrecking the city.

My Thoughts: Wow. The Fish Guy was definitely different than I expected, and Stanley being trapped alongside the detective made it all the more funny.

"You know, it'd be a lot easier if I could just trap Calloway in cement a boot and throw him in the river, BUT since I can do that - "

2. Baby's Wild Ride A baby that Stanley was babysitting gets a hold of the mask and joins a biker gang.

My Thoughts: Very interesting. I just-----wow, this show is hard to review!! Lol, anyone can honestly say "I never seen anything like it." When the baby had the mask, it was hilarious to see a biker try to take away his ice cream, and don't get me started on what happened when the boss tried to take his ba-ba!! :P

3. Shadow of a Skillit A creature steals shadows to stay young forever, asking the Mask to leave behind Stanley Ipkiss forever and come with him to his world.

My Thoughts: Radioactive noogies!! Hahaha, this show, I can see already, is priceless. One thing comes to mind though. I haven't read the Mask comics, so I wouldn't know how this works, but is Peggy supposed to be Stanley's friend? Cuz in the movie she betrayed him, so, yeah, just wondering.

4. Sister Mask In an attempt to control the Mask, Stanley puts on an additional "Sister Mask" found in a museum but soon finds it was a ploy by Pretorius to control the Mask's body.

My Thoughts: A little disappointed this wasn't about Peggy getting the Mask , but still very good. And hilarious. The dude wanted to steal a meteor rock. Let me walk you through this. That one turned people invisible. The rest make people stretch, strength by rocks, and be covered in flames. So the dude wants to recreate the Fantastic Four?? :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:

5/6. The Mask is Always Greener on the Other Side Stanley buries the Mask thinking it causes him nothing but trouble, but then Pretortious returns seeking revenge on Stanley Ipkiss.

My Thoughts: This two-parter was pretty good, and it solved one mystery for me. Peggy mentioned betraying him once before, ergo, the movie. Still, I gotta ask, what about Tina? Hmm....guess she got back into habit with the mob. Oh well.

It was cool to have a little scene with the neighbor's baby w/ the Mask again. lol Still, the whole "It's a Wonderful Life" theme is sooooo overdone, but you can barely notice. good show!

7. Bride of Pretorius Pretorius returns to kidnap Stanley's date for a new body after she put on the Mask.

My Thoughts: Wow, now I know why they didn't make the Mask a girl as a default setting or whatever.......disturbing. Kinda funny, but disturbing.......

8. Double Reverse Stanley starts to act like the Mask as reverse psychology to make his life better.

My Thoughts: Some great laughs here. "That's it? The man's got gas?" The fact the man could get a date and a promotion cuz of him acting wacky is weird enough, but a man who calls himself an unpopable balloon? Definitely one of the crazier episodes.

9. Shrink Rap Stanley's psychologist, Dr. Newman, put on the Mask and "diagnoses" the whole town, then teams up with Pretorius.

My Thoughts: Bizarre. During the episode I finally came to realize a difference between the cartoon and the movie I should have seen before. The Mask works during the day in the cartoon? I don't know how it worked in the comics so I'm not sure whether this is considered a good thing or not, so not my place to judge. Still pretty good. Pretty below average for the show, but still good.

10. Mayor Mask The Mask runs for Mayor against the Mayor Tilton on election day, who is really Pretorius disguising himself as the Mayor.

My Thoughts: Wow, can you guys imagine what would happen if the Mask was elected mayor? Limbo in City Hall!!! Hahaha, very entertaining episode. ;D

I never enjoyed the cartoon of the Mask very much... Have you read much of the comic? I always preferred that.

11. Martian Mask Putty Thing and Fish Guy escape as the Mask is being pursued because government officials think he's an alien.

My Thoughts: Wow, return of the "Terrible Two", huh? Wow, as overused as I noticed him being in this series I'd actually prefer it be Pretorius again. I mean, every time I see Fish Guy, I just wanna fry him up, and I don't even LIKE seafood!!

My feelings of the criminals aside, haha, this was actually a pretty good spoof of E.T.! Especially the ending! :hysterical:

12. How Much is that Dog in the Tin Can? Milo uses the Mask to save dogs being held captive to taste test chili.

My Thoughts: CHILI DOG!!!! Haha, sorry, couldn't help myself. This is one of the even more comedic episodes in my opinion. The criminal one-way romance, the chili with dogs, wow!  :hysterical:

13. All Hallow's Eve On Halloween, Skillit comes back with former wearers of the Mask to attack.

My Thoughts: First of all, let me say, wow. The Mask trick or treating for frozen steaks! :laugh:Pretty average episode overall, but you know I gotta love the Halloween theme!! (Look at my dad!)

But I guess the end of this episode proves the Mask is like any other guy. I mean, when we go to a Halloween party, don't we always end up with our bodies' in a fish?  :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:

Sorry, couldn't help myself. Anyways, it was ok. A lot I could poke fun at, but it was just ok.

14. Split Personality After cracking the Mask in two, Stanley and the Mask work together (in the same body split down the middle) to retreive the other half from a high school rival.

My Thoughts: I'll just say this.......Two Face.

Ok, it was definitely one of the better ones. seeing Stanley and the Mask side by side while actually sharing sides?  :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: I normally don't rate cartoons I didn't grow up with, it out-dating me, because I tend to get too picky with animation and stuff (because I would go on ranting) but I gotta say this. 5 out of 5!!!!!!!

15. Santa Mask When all the Santas are arrested in Edge City, so is the real one! The Mask must deliver the presents to the children of the world and capture the escaped villains.

My Thoughts: Well, this was a real blast! The fruitcake, the Captain Choo Choo, seeing Callaway cry with joy at the sight of his Captain Choo Choo. :hysterical: I know it's not  likely to come to DVD anytime soon, but you can bet I'll be watching this around the holidays!

After yesterday, I'm going to go about 5 shows per post.

16. Comedy of Eras Dr. Chronos goes back 300 years and becomes Empress.

My Thoughts: We've all seen this type of theme going on with the shows, but this was really well done. I especially loved the Mask's attachment to the Coco Bongo. But hey, a guy's gotta party!! :laugh:Pretty good all in all, but would somebody, please tell me.....what the heck would the Mask being doing locked in a trunk in the middle of the woods 300 years in the past? Someone should tell that story!

17. Goin' for the Green In an attempt to ignore the Mask, the Mayor makes a competition between Edge City and its competitors, but will a swamp monster ruin the fun?

My Thoughts: Well, just one more example of why no one can ignore the Mask! Pretty funny seeing him all attention-hungry. Or is that no different from normal.....yeah, it is. He was the Statue of Liberty. Its different. And fun!

18. Flight as a FeatherThe Mask chases his lucky feather all over Edge City.

My Thoughts: Well, some parts definitely stood out, like the woman in a (literal) dynamite bikini at City Hall, the man covered in tar and feathers, and the fact the Mask won a karaoke contest. :o Funny too, this is one of the better cartoons of this show.....

19. The Good, the Bad, and the Fish Guy After a battle, Putty Thing and Fish Guy are no longer friends, and Fish Guy gains control of the Mask.

My Thoughts: The head spinning was funny. Other than that, kinda felt like a filler episode.

20. Malled A gang robs the bank's division at the new mall's grand opening.

My Thoughts: Um...wow. Mrs. Peenman hears a French voice in the apartment and thinks there are illegal immigrants? Wow, I wonder how many claims she put up with the Immigration Office. I bet she has a membership card!! And I just wanted to eat up them pastries!! :drooling: Haha, good show!!

21. Channel Surfin' A television themed maniac traps the Mask inside of the T.V.

My Thoughts: Haha, this was pretty good, and we got to see what the Mask would wish for. Lol, I guess up until you need it, you'll never know how an itch between the shoulder blades can save the day!! Thumbs up for this one!!

22. Mask au Gratin A cheese-powered villain named Gorgonzola is turning all of Edge City into cheese.

My Thoughts: Um......a cheese villain? Oh, oh, it's too much! Hahahaha, stop, stop, I can't take it! Hahahaha!!Ok, ok, I'm calmed down now........NO I'M NOT!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Sorry, it's just too pathetic a power, it's funny! And a awesome change for the show! It's better than Fish Guy!!! :hysterical:

23. Jurassic Mask Animatronic dinosaurs from the museum are regernated and therefore brought to life.

My Thoughts: Pretty good, but why is it when robots are regenerated they think they're real? And are hungry for metal? Average episode.

24. You Outta Be In Pictures When a movie is being shot in Edge City, The Mask wants to be in the center of it all.

My Thoughts: Why would the Mask want to be in pictures? He already had a movie with Stanley! Lol Seriously though. Pretty funny, but feels like just a filler.

25. For All Mask-Kind Stanley Ipkiss joins an astronaut on a trip into space, where the craft if later abducted by aliens.

My Thoughts: The astronaut is Coo-coo for limited edition Space Shaped Coco Puffs!! Hima dn his little green men. Lol, very fun episode. The space dude is obnoxious, but very fun episode.

26. Up the Creek Stanley and Charlie take a vacation in the wilderness and become engaged to 90-something-year-old hillbillies.

My Thoughts: WOW!! Haha, I thought for sure Charlie would put two and two together with the Mask appearing in the wild, but I guess some guys just don't get it. The change of scenery was nice, and the comedy, as usual, was gold!

27. Boogie with the Man After making a deal with the devil, Stanley must face the consequences.

My Thoughts: First off, to put it simply, the devil is a Christian belief, and yet they have the Mask of Loki, a legend of Norse mythology?? Keep them theme of the show constant people! ::)

(click to show/hide)

28. What Goes Around Comes Around Dr. Chronos returns and sticks Stanley in a time loop.

My Thoughts: Very confusing to me. Maybe not you. It's just a thing with me and time travel. But you still got love it! "It's time to do the Deja Voodoo that you do so well!" Very clever of him. ;)

29. All Hail the Mask Native take the Mask to their island thinking he is their lost awaited God.

My Thoughts: It was really funny, the Mask teaching them how to Hula, him showing them a club.  A little above average.

30. Power of Suggestion Stanley/The Mask is hypnotized to do whatever he is told.

My Thoughts: Interesting. I just don't get why Balloon-Man wanted to be the Grand Marshall of a parade!!! He's his own balloon!!! Felt like a filler episode though, pretty average compared to the chaos the usually is.

31. Mr. Mask Goes Washington The Mask is hires as an agent of Secret Service after saving the Presidents life.......and he keeps moving up.

My Thoughts: Wow! The Mask in charge? I wonder why he would do something like make-over the White House in his image. ::) He and the president has matching clothes!!! Ok, if you guys are reading this, this is an episode definitely worth checking out!!

32. Rain of Terror A demented meteorologist gains control of the weather after being struck by lightening.

My Thoughts: Ok, how does a little freak accident give you super powers and a dweeby costume?  :laugh:Still, gotta say what is getting repetitive at this point. Random. Funny. Good. ;D

33. The Mother of All Hoods Calloway's mother tags along when a crime lord, the Hood, appears in Edge City

My Thoughts: Wow, I never thought I'd see anyone more rotten than Mrs. Peenman. I did. Calloway's mother. That woman was starting to give me a migraine!! Hahaha, oh but the wedgies and the undercover exposure! ::) This one's good in my book!

Ok, guys, I can't find the next one, "To Bee or Not To Bee". Better luck tomorrow, but if I can't fin it I'll skip to the next. See ya then!!

I'm back, and as much as I've searched, I can't find "To Bee or Not to Bee", so I'll go ahead and skip to the next one, hope you don't mind.

35. Love Potion No. 8 1/2 A love potion from a power-seeking gypsy makes everyone fall in love with Mrs. Peanman, giving enough distraction for the gypsy to take the Mask

My Thoughts: This was definitely fun! <3 Mrs. Peanman tattoos, the dogs, the...well...everything!! Haha, and it has a great ending to boot!!
(click to show/hide)

36. Cool Hand Mask Pretorius frames the Mask for stealing money from orphans so he'll be in jail for his next scheme.

My Thoughts: Average episode. Good humor as always, but the question keeps nagging me.....with all that power, why does the Mask even accept getting arrested? How would they stop him? Huh, guess he just "wanted to keep them on the edge of their seats."

37. Broadway Malady The Mask tries to stop a horrible and insane musical version of his favorite movie series, Mad Monkey.

My Thoughts: I have to say, I know where he's coming from with this. If you could hear how many times I complained about the Spider-Man musical ::)
(click to show/hide)

Yeah, the horror, the horror, I know!! Still, it was no Mad Monkey! With the director going screwy it was entertaining, but all the Mask's villains singing and dancing???

38. Enquiring Masks Want To Know Branched from the episode where the Terrible Two broke up, Skillit dumps dangerous creatures into Edge City.

My Thoughts: Wow, if ever there were a filler episode......

It seems almost completely normal for this show, nothing to talk about, except for one realization. The Mask, as seen before, knows he's in the show.

"That should get rid of Skillit for good......at least until we bring the creepy kid back for another episode."

Yeah, I decided to go ahead and finish up Season 2.

39. Future Mask A man from the 23rd century wishes to get the 20th century Mask as the one from his time powers the city.

My Thoughts: There is definitely a Terminator-esque tone to this episode 8) , but you get used to it!! :P The mustard, the future food, no more Coco Bongo, haha. This was a really fun one to watch!!

40. Sealed Fate A Tupperware company uses experimental sealers to spoil food beyond recognition to create leftovers that eat people.

My Thoughts: Umm.....well, the thought is new....but you gotta love the Mask to make all the villains and cartoon violence ok for the kiddies.

"See, kids? Finish your vegetables before they finish you!!"

Not to mention it finishes with a scary thought.
(click to show/hide)

41. (The Angel Wanna Wear My) Green Mask Um, trouble finding this one too. Since these things aren't out on DVD, I'm limited to Youtube, and the only version I could find....well....I'm only starting Spanish II this coming year, so it wouldn't work out. Skipping to next!!

42. Mutiny of the Bounty Hunters While the Mask is chasing a baby he was supposed to look after all around Edge City, he is being chased by a couple of Bounty Hunters.

My Thoughts: Hmm...well let me just say those two were doomed from the get go. A science guy and a dude whose only definition of capture is "clobber" ain't gonna capture him. No way, Jose. But still, it was funny to see them try.

43. Convention of Evil All of the Mask's villains gather and console each other with stories of their run-ins with the Mask.

My Thoughts: Well, it was nice to see "The Stinger" here, considering I couldn't find his episode. Um...well, the devil guy is back, and you guys should really see the expressions on those guys faces' when he said he doesn't see harps and angels wings in any of their futures!! :hysterical:

Yes, it's another flashback episode, but it's just soooo good! :hysterical:

44. The Green Marine The Mask accidentally signs into the Marines.

My Thoughts: Wow, paper eating, penguins, baseball cards, and whipped cream down the shorts!! Haha, this is one of the better ones! After losing that big Battleship and landing himself in court, well, you'd just have to watch!!  :stars:

(click to show/hide)

45. Counterfeit Mask A counterfeiter switches Stanley's bags at an airport and Ipkiss and the Mask are framed of making the fake money.

My Thoughts: Well, it was great to see what Peggy would be like as the Mask, but c'mon, writers!!! A beauty salon? A new car? She's a reporter who likes to be where the action is! If anything she'd go full-on superhero and save Milo!! :slaphead:

Still, another funny episode complete with a green-faced Bride and a wedgie by a dollar.

Ok, the "Not Finding Anything" virus strikes again because the rare episode "The Animated End" is not to be found.......but I did have a hard time finding regular episodes, so I should have expected this. On with Season 3!!

46. Magic A magical miss from Stanley's high school has returned, with alien illusions to distract her stealing spree.

My Thoughts: Haha, it was real cool seeing the Mask go ga-ga over a girl who liked Stanley better.....and he turned her down! :laugh:Decent episode, and you gotta love Doyle wanting to do a magic act with the Mask.

47. Little Big Mask The Mask uses a youth rejuvenator to look younger, but it keeps working again...and again...and again.....

My Thoughts: Kind of a filler episode. Nothing really special.....except one line from the Mask that made my day:

"Hmm....funny how this product is available NOW when I need it most....but who am I to question the wisdom of this sorry plot device?"

You gotta love fourth wall breakage!!

48. Fantashtick Voyage A computer virus accidentally brought into the real world by the Mask gets inside of Milo and makes him sick.

My Thoughts: Decent episode. Kind of a filler, but entertaining, like an episode of the Magic School Bus. You can't help but think that when you see a man ride through a doggy's stomach, brain, and ears!! Of coarse the Snozola-express is always the #1 exit!!

49. They Came From Within When the Mask hides in a comic book from a convention to escape Kellaway and Doyle, he accidentally brings out 3 supervillains.

My Thoughts: WOW!! LOL!!! I know, I know, big geek moment here, but man! The Mask parodied Professor Xavier, Wolverine, Cyclops, the Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, and Superman!! :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:

I loved this one so much......here's a link to part 1, parts 2 and 3 should be close in the side bar. ;D

50. To Have and Have Snot Even as Pretorius created a common cold germ snot-blob, the Mask cannot go into action with his cold as it is the one thing that can kill the Mask.

My Thoughts: This was really fun, the most exciting part looking at the Mask's symptoms. (VERY literal) Sneeze his head off, hacking cough, head cold, possibly overacting??

Still, I know that there was a thing between Stanley and Peggy in the movie, and here there isn't, being just friends (getting each other in trouble) but the chemistry is all there!! If I was in charge of this cartoon there would at least be a few dates or something!

51. Mystery Cruise The Mask invites Peggy, Lt. Kellaway, Doyle, Charlie, and Mrs.Peenman to his birthday party on a cruise ship, but Pretorius plans on sinking Edge City with a giant underwater earthquake.

My Thoughts: Wow, I never knew the Mask could have a birthday! I guess he means the anniversary of the day Loki created him. The birthday theme didn't impress me that much, but there was better comedy, like him taking off to Pretorius' underwater lair in a Submarine.................sandwich.

52. The Goofalotatots A group f small blue maniacs befriend the Mask and drive the city crazy.

My Thoughts: I ever thought the Mask would have kindred spirits like this.....I stand corrected! This is pretty much adding a parody of the Animaniacs. Who could forget Yakko, Wacko, and Dot?

BTW, image also a Wallpaper if interested. :P Haha, awesome episode that brought a lot of stuff back to me!!

53. When Pigs Ruled the Earth Peggy and the Mask accidentally skip forward to a future where pigs rule the planet.

My Thoughts:Ok, the whole episode, there was a distinct "Planet of the Apes" vibe, pork edition. The whole show was ok, but the end was hilarious.

I decided to post these two separate. The last episode of the Mask guest starred Ace Ventura, but...the episode continued in the Ace Ventura cartoon!
First! I found an Ace Ventura Opening!! Tell me if it's the wrong one, I'm not completely sure, the opening sounds sketchy.

54. The Aceman Cometh Stanley Ipkiss hires Ace Ventura to find Milo, who was kidnapped and brain-switched with a Professor.

My Thoughts: Haha, this made my day! 2 Jim Carrey rolls in one cartoon!! Oh the hilarity!!

"One of two things have happened. Either I've gone completely crazy, or you posses superhuman powers dictated by the Laws of Cartoon Physics."

"This guy Re-he-heally reminds me of me."

If you guys ever get the chance, I'll highly recommend by scream-typing at you: YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS!!!! :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:

Ace Ventura: Have Mask Will Travel Stanley goes to Ace's apartment to retrieve his Mask and is inadvertently brought along to a Pet Detective case in outer space to find a lost space guinea pig.

My Thoughts:Just as good and funny as the last! (Don't even get me started on the Butt Hugger!!) And when Ace sat on the Mask and became a "2 for 1" person? Hahahahaha!!! These two? Definite 5 out of 5!!!!

That theme you posted is the right animation but the wrong speed  ;)

I remember the Ace Ventura cartoon well, over here a kids magazine/comic thing was released to coincide with the series, the first issue had a "ace ventura pet detective card" I still have mine somewhere  I should find it and embarrass myself!

Son of the Mask

The Plot: After wearing the Mask to a Halloween party, an aspiring cartoonist impregnates his wife, allowing the baby to have the power of the Mask. At the same time, Loki, Norse God of Mischief and creator of the Mask, comes after the baby to find the Mask himself.

My Thoughts: I heard other reviewers said they didn't like this movie. That it strayed too far away from what the Mask originally was. Though this is kinda out there, even for what began with a comic book, I'd have to disagree. The Mask, though originally portrayed as edgy and violent, is about what you've been hiding on the inside and the Mask releasing it. This movie did so, as a baby would come to it. In essence, the hard to swallow bit for the fans of the Mask, though they may not realize this is it, is the fact that there is a baby present, and what he is like inside is how he's gonna be, which would DEFINITELY not that violent!!

I have to say, I love the angle on Norse mythology. Odin, Loki, Boulder, and even Thor! (Heck, that's given me such an idea, I'm currently working on writing at crossover event at Marvel.com between Thor and the Mask!! ;D ) Like anything, the existing legend gives it a base of reality to sink in. Like, what if this really happened? I know I wouldn't hesitate to put it on!!   ;)

Some elements in the movie could use a little more help, though. Just the little inconsistencies, nothing major. Like, how did Tim fax his drawings when Alvy smashed it? How did Tim make his own cartoon when he was thrown out of the board meeting? How did the dog get his paws on the Mask at the end? (Ok, not so much that one, I know it's just for humor, but stay with me here! :P ) Like I said, nothing major, but I have an eye for the little things.

All in all, it's a great movie. Full of laughs, family values and all that. I'd say it's about a 4.5 out of 5 movie. ;D
