No, not even close. They are just pictures I recycled from a Scarface calendar.
My favourite movie is the original Planet of the Apes.

My signature is from Old School....when he shoots himself in the neck...

Very nice indeed. Where did you get the seats for your home theatre? Looks almost like aeroplane seats.
-
got the seats from the local cinema, just asked the manager if he had a few spare seats and scored 4 of them.
fits perfectly in the room, I'll post some more shots of the theater room....

:o If I was a guy id be changing my underwear right now..... :bag:
-
One step ahead of you there.
-
:o Wow!!...Very cool!!!
-
:thanks: just took a lot of patience and time, still not finished yet, have a few more ideas to put together. I'll try to keep the progress updated throughout. when we bought the house I told the wife the basement was mine and she can do anything she wanted upstairs, now she just comes down, takes a look, shakes her head and goes back up. It does get a bit addicting, but it's fun.
Dave.
-
Wow...that's nice. That's what I want and don't have space for..a room for the DVDs.
Does she watch any of the movies?
-
she will only watch movies upstairs, the remote is a bit too intimidating for her, her movies are usually the family titles, animals and paranormal (ghost hunters type). I figure I have enough room for about 1200 or so before panic sets in and sacrifices have to be made, but until then.....
Dave.

Very Cool collection!!..I see alot of stuff I would love to have!!
-
:o
That looks a shelf full of Collector's Editions! Seriously jealousy inducing stuff right there! And I see you order internationally; I spotted a German edition of Once Upon A Time In The West...
-
Thanks Fasteddie! :)
Haha, yeah, Achim.. I love those collector's editions! :D
Oh, I only order internationally.. Brazil is horrible for special editions!
-
Since I'll get visitors next week I had to do a basic clean-up of my apartment.
And so I took the opportunity to make new collection pictures. Not much has changed, except that the shelves have become fuller and I had to order my Blu-rays with the DVDs because I didn't have the extra shelf space anymore.
Oh, and I've got a new lamp which looks like a giant light bulb.
If anyone's interested: http://doena-journal.net/en/my-dvds
-
Y'know when we show pictures of our collections, it's always as presentable as possible
But for me that's always literally just a snapshot. DVDs are removed from the shelve for watchings, new ones are added and they just build piles until it's cleaning up time again because a relative is coming for a visit.
And when no relative is coming or no photos are taken, it looks like this:

-
Good to know I am not the only one where it is like this
Though for me it is new arrivals which can be seen lying around until I come around to move them to a shelve. Usually once a DVD gets its space in the shelve, it stays there. And when I watch it again it gets moved back there after.
-
You have no idea how glad I am to see that I am not the only one with piles ..and piles and piles.
-
I didnt know about this thread before now. So i decided to give it a try,
and upload a pic of my blurays :)

Thank you.

Sure you aren't alone... I have six wallcases who are full since a long time, so all my new DVDs are piled on the top of the wallcase and when they are watched they go on a huge pile next to the case. I have a big plastic box who is full of TV set too...
Someday I will have to get some wallcases, but they will have to be a stackable model as I have no free wall anymore.
-
You should take a picture Jim, and post it! ;)
-
I have nothing to take picture...
-
Most of the tv show sets are on the new shelves my step dad put up for me...along with some other random DVDs..and my Blu-rays..and the animated movies. Those shelves aren't completely full yet, but I have put other stuff on some of them without movies. I already have to rearrange a little to make more room within the tv sets. I have them alphabetically..I need more room in the Fs to get the Family Guy sets in. When I put stuff on the shelves, I tried to leave some space for new additions..I didn't leave enough.
-
So, I finally found the time to clean up this mess.
I took pictures every ten minutes for this. ;)

I still have space in my 6 Billy shelves, but yet I have a bunch of piles around the apartment. It is getting out of hand though and I should take care of the mess. I liked to keep the new stuff outside intending to put them on the shelf after watching, but that is merely an excuse at this point. :bag:
-
How long did it take to straighten up?
And..how long do you think it will take before the clutter starts to return? ;)
I've done a little more with my new shelves..but need to do more. Once I get them mostly straightened around, I'll try to remember to take some pictures.
Before the new shelves, I had some DVDs piled other places in my room..and other stuff that got boxed up while the shelves were being done. The shelves were done in like...ohh...March and there is still stuff boxed up. Also, there are a few DVDs that I can't find anywhere and it is making me nuts. I did find one of my Doctor Who Blu-ray sets though thankfully. Season Six Part 2 has been missing for months - since the stuff got boxed up for the new shelves. I was getting convinced that it fell in the trashcan or something. Well I found it...in here - the computer room - on the desk. It was buried under a pile of papers. I brought it in after I got it to add to Profiler and left it here for some reason..and it got buried. I was looking for something else last week and found it. I hate when I do stuff like that. And yet I still pile up some of them in here.

I guess because in Germany the series is called "Dr. House" and Karsten probably owns the German DVD releases

:p I woke up a few nights ago because there was a noise.... DVDs all over the floor  I need to buy a house.
-
I read once that it is better for the DVDs if the box is standing up, rather than lying down.

Why is House in the CD section?
They're sorted by their german title in which House, M.D. is Dr. House
