I have 80 pictures for you.
I will post 5 every day (a batch). For every correct movie you'll get 2 points. If you guess a complete batch correctly, you'll get another point.
If you guess wrong on a movie you get another guess which will earn you 1 point if correct.
If you're the only one that guessed a movie correctly you'll get another point.
You can guess any movie in any batch until the game's over which will be 5 days after I've posted the last batch. There are 16 batches containing 80 movies.
That means without outside influence you can earn 80 * 2 + 16 = 176 points with a theoretical maximum of 80 * 3 + 16 = 256 points.
All guesses via PM
Rules Addendum:
On the day after the last batch I will give an additional hint on every movie that has not been guessed correctly by anyone. After the hint you can earn 1 point for guessing correctly. That excludes the 16th ("P") batch. In the unlikely event that a "P" movie remains open, I will post the hints for that on Sunday, July 13th. The game ends Monday, July 14th 1:30pm CEST - 3 weeks after it has begun.

I should have mentioned that. I had to restore the entire database so posts, PM's, changes to profiles and enything else that had been done is lost.
That's only the 2nd time in my life I make a mistake on a system which I can't recover completely. The first one was at work a few years ago and was far worst. I had inadvertently deleted the entire invoicing history :bag:

I've only lost my home system entirely, yet to have a similar disaster at work. I was using a tape backup, which is normally the most reliable method, but I'd been rather silly and not tested the restore. The write head was fine... the read, not so much. :bag:
A colleague of mine once had a nasty experience though. He took the RAID drives out of a clients server and put them back in the wrong order. Backups or no backups, it took him two full days to get the system up and running and this was a cash and carry. :o

I think it is Bruce Lee and I even think I have this movie in my Bruce Lee boxset but I spent hours looking at screenshots from his movies and I haven't found it.

I am just glad that not one movie remains unguessed, not even B4. I am aware that the european titles are harder to guess for you north-americans but I also couldn't take only US movies.

A lot of patience and good searching skills on internet. Some of them were pretty hard, especially one of the anime ones. I found a list of all (or so they say) anime movies or movies with animated sequence in them. I searched the titles one at time for pictures until I found one with the same character.

The latest scoresheet has the answers, Achim. And I am kicking myself most violently for missing Equilibrium. Worse, in a classic case of the only stupid answer being no answer at all, I did think of Equilibrium, but couldn't place the scene or find that screenshot. I thought I must be wrong, so ignored it! :bag:
The other three I missed though, no way at all on Earth was I ever going to catch them. I did decide that the kid with the gargoyle must be a medieval fantasy sort or thing, but would never have got it.

The other three I missed though, no way at all on Earth was I ever going to catch them. I did decide that the kid with the gargoyle must be a medieval fantasy sort or thing, but would never have got it.

I have seen maybe 5 minutes of Tampopo... I would have thought the movie where the picture was from would be much older than than.
I only recognized Matthew on second look; I have seen the movie (medieval action flick by Richard Donner) twice though, which possibly helped.
Thanks again for creating this great quiz for us!
I will have to look at the answers for those few I didn't get in the next few days, so don't take the answer sheet down quite yet...

I check on internet last week for Tampopo. It seems to be quite rare, I think the cheapest I found was on Amazon MarketPlace for something like 80$.
