Hardgore is packed with disgusting over-the-top special effects, psychedelic strangeness, and hot Satanic orgy action!
My Thoughts:
The concept for this is a good one, since it was a combination of a gore movie and an adult movie (the first of the genre) and the special effects are well done (I'm sure that a film professional had done them, but since the movie had no credit it's a complete guess). But the story is really complex and hard to follow mostly because it is really badly edited (not to mention that a reel looks misplace, since somewhere what happen on screen make no sense). Evidently this fact remove a lot of enjoyment to what could have been a good movie.The acting isn't that great except for Diane Galke who didn't really had a long career (only 6 movies in 2 years). Like I've said previously the special effects are professionally done. A sex scene between Galke and Seeman is particullary well photographed with the camera who rotates during the scene around the actors. I was always tempted to enter the Boom Mic as a special guest star since it make some apparition (a good hint that the ratio is incorrect)...
Not a bad film or a good one (just an average one that try to much), but a complete mess because of the usual bad quality control of Alpha Blue Archive (if this departement exist at this PD label).

My Thoughts:
This film is so bad it's not surprising that its director didn't put his/her name on this. The story is boring, an annoying musical score is always present (lounge music, piano and saxophone :yucky:), the night scenes aren't lighted so we see almost nothing, the sex scene are badly directed and uninspired, the end happen to fast and a normally good cast look crappy because they were badly directed...Don't really worth the time even if it's not more than one hour lost...

My Thoughts:
Finally a film that deserve to appear on my new topic. But this isn't a surprise considering that Jennifer Jordan and Eric Edwards are the two leads of the film and the director is Peter Locke (the producer of The Hills Have Eyes) hiden behind an alias. This is a beautifull impossible love story and very sad by moment (it doesn't happen often that I almost cry watching an adult movie). The film is well made and it had a big artistic vibes in it. The cinematography is haunting (it's evident that the director of photography name is an alias), a lot of the story is told in the narative mode, the music score is effective too (the song played when the Sandra Cassels characters is killed in LOTL is use in a very erotic scene) and before all the sad situations that happen to Angela a mysterious character appear (Do you recognize him with the yellow shirt?). My Thoughts:
One of the last movie directed by Phil Prince and produced by Avon (the theatre was closed not soon after when the city of New York had decided to change the 42nd street as a Walt Disney familly friendly area ::)). This movie isn't for everyone like most of the Prince's movies. Sure it had a story but this isn't the reason to watch a Prince's movie, you watch them wanting to see an S/M festival And not just the tame part but the real deal. You sure get this here since you have only one regular sex scene at the beginning between Sprinkle and Payne before all hell break loose at the dungeon. Not that the dungeon action took a lot of space in the film, but this is very intense with genital torture, piss drinking, hard whipping, man anal torture and the four letters word is said a lot of time (hey some people find that more offensive than anything else :laugh:). As usual George Payne's acting is incredible. The only downside is the fact that my copy quality isn't that great (very dark), but the chance are good that After Hours Cinema will release it in their Avon Theatre Collection and since we can dream with an commentary track from Payne, Sprinkle and Adrian (why not they are alive and have no problem with their past, Adrian is even a member on another forum I am).Like I've said not something for everybody but if you like this genre, this is a quality production.

I suspect strongly that he is the real Director of Photography for the movie and that he had co-directed it too. It's maybe a surprise for some but he is in It Happened in Hollywood, Sweet Cakes and Thunder Buns too.

My Thoughts:
This is an interesting adapdation of the Bram Stoker's story that was filmed at a realist location contrary to the 1932 movie (the old castle is real and not a studio set). The story is the same but some sex scenes are present (unless I've seen a really different version of Tod Browning's Dracula there no sex in it :laugh:). The acting is pretty good even if the Romanian accent of Jamie Gillies change from time to time (even mainstream actors do the same, it isn't a big deal). I like the different ending used for this film, this is more romantic than an usual vampire movie. For those who like to spot known actor in movie you got an easy one in this one : Reggie Nalder who was in Mark of the Devil, Salem's Lot, Zoltan Hound of Dracula, ...A softcore version of this one exist and had a longer running time (86 minutes), in fact this is the one on the cover for this review. I can't say how it is since I've never seen this version and had no idea if it is available or not.
Maybe for your next vampire marathon or the october horror marathon Pete ;)

I would like to write that this movie is a good one, but I would have to lie to you. The basic idea is interesting with Carter Stevens investigating a New York voodoo cult, but the movie is boring... The bondage scenes are totally not convincing (this is an Avon production not a lame Vivid Video production...), the orgies are really badly filmed (BTW I find orgy scene boring, too much film jumping from one place to another), the acting isn't that great and some actresses are really wooden (but Carter make me laugh as usual) and honestly even the cast look as bored than me with this film... Not everything is negative. Like I've already said Carter Stevens is good in this and the scene between him and Annie Sprinkle at the beginning is a good one (but I like her in everything).
A miss opportunity with wasted talent in orgy scenes (almost all the film)... Not really recommanded.

My Thoughts:
Before I start I've one thing to say : seven years after her last movie (Mary! Mary!) she is always incredibly beautifull :drooling:I'm sure that it will surprise no one if I say that I've really appreciated this movie. What can I say this is the prettiest woman I've ever seen in an adult movie. Those who had seen Misty Bethoven certainly agree with me. The story is well written and very funny. The cast is full of weird characters like dwarf, transvestite, snake charmer, fire swallower, girls dress only with diaper in a giant crib, a priest, ... The filming locations are really great it's easy to see that it was a big budget (even a sex scene on an air balloon). The acting is great, not a surprise from Gillies, Thomas and Leslie but even Constance Money act much better than usual. The theme song performed by Beth Marlin is really catchy. I really like the decision she take at the end that isn't the obvious one.
Sure I recommand it. We talk about the only girl on earth that could convice me to marry her ;D Yes, even if she is 53 years old now I'm sure that she is always incrediby gorgeous. But to ask her to marry me I must travel to the states of Alaska, find her and... stop dreaming that will never happen :weep:

My Thoughts:
This one is weird, hard to follow and strangely hypnotic. First thing to say is that this film wasn't originally filmed hardcore, it was a black and white New York softcore film but before its release some hardcore inserts were added. I write that the movie is B/W but it isn't really the case... All the film is tinted in different colors depending of what happen on the screen : sometimes in blue, sometimes in yellow, sometimes in green, sometimes in red, sometimes in B/W and even in full colors. What the movie is about? No idea, your guess is as good than mine :laugh:. The only thing that I've understand is that Ruth (Uta Erickson) get out of her corpse while sleeping (or dying) and a strange masked character escorts her (sometimes not) from one place to another. Those places are weird too : an house party that seems to be a fashion show too, a funeral were the deceased switch from her brother to herself, a cave with an odd ceremony (prepare yourself since one of the actor is rape with a whip handle), ...Maybe the strangest movie I've seen in my life, but you can't stop watching even if you understand definitely nothing of what happen on the screen.

My Thoughts:
Middle part of the trilogy and the only one that I haven't reviewed yet, so here we go. By the year of production you can see that we are going slowly but surely in the direction where everything had gone wrong in the adult industry (the direct to video no budget era that had lead to the crap that are done now). But don't worry this is an Alex de Renzy's production so the quality is always there, do you really think that I would have lost my time with a boring dtv excuse to show emotionless sex...Evidently this film isn't as good as the original one, Siobhan Hunter isn't a too bad actress but she doesn't had the same comedic timing than Desiree Cousteau possess. The presence of Tracey Adams compensate for this since she possess a real acting talent that you can see in the "mainstream" films that she had done using her real name (I've seen so many film on video just because of her, I can even bear a crappy film like Starbangers 4 because she's in it). This film like many other made in this period had the real acting talent in the male cast (I ain't the biggest fan of Ron Jeremy since he is a complete asshole deserving no praise, but he can act). Jamie Gillies is in this film in a very funny role (he plays an old woman) and as usual Peter North made me proud to be Canadian since all the Canadians possess his particularity (no that's not true :laugh:).
A good movie for this period with a particullary good ending.

My Thoughts:
Another classic movie from the seventies that will never get an uncut release on dvd. Why? The forced sex theme and four fisting scenes (it's sure a lot even for a film of this time), so this isn't an happy film. It doesn't took too long to understand it right at the start when Dusty is attacked and sexually molested by a bikers gang (Turk Lyon, Rick Lutze, Mike Ranger, Ming Jade and some others that I can't recognize), this scene is played seriously and in a realistic way. By chance we have a chance to catch our breath after this hard introduction with all the romantic story between Dusty (Rhonda Jo Petty) and Frankie (John Holmes). Evidently the bikers will reapear from time to time in a teasing way untill the very dramatic and sad ending. This is more the story itself that is interesting here, since Petty is not really a great actress and Holmes acting is poor also but the actors portraying the different bikers did it in a perfectly credible way (weird to see Lutze played something else than comic relief).This is a movie that risk to be too hard for the casual viewer, but if you like the biker movie genre this is something that could please you. My big critics is the fact that the movie had to many scene with John Holmes.

My Thoughts:
The basic idea of this movie is based on The Portrait of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, the difference is that the character who stop aging doesn't conserve is self portrait in a painting but in a movie. He didn't even consent to this, since it is done without his knowing in the 1920's. During all the course of the film he tells the events that he had lived to a young woman. This movie is really well done and better than usual, it easy to see that it was made seriously and professionally. The cinematography is great (Joao Fernandez the DP had used his real name for this one) and a lot of attention was taken for the set designing (when the action is in the 20's it look like it and this is the same for all the other decades). The screenplay from Weston and Daria Price (she had written the one for Dawn of the Mummy too) is full of movie refence, character from the past decades and humour. The cast is good too... Wade Nichols is a real actor who was in the American soap Edge of Night in the eighties, Georgina Spelvin is an actress that could had made the mainstream transition easilly (just watch her in Police Academy) and Anette Haven had refuse two important movie offers (The Howling and the principal role in Body Double). You had a lot of my favourite in small cameo : Clea Carson, Patty Boyd, Bethanna, Eric Edwards (who had used his real name),...
I don't post any picture usually, but I'll make an exception this time with 2 underated actresses who had never get a first role in a movie.

Seriously the synopsis here is really lame (just like the cover) it's make you wonder if they watch the movie before writing those crappy text, So I will try to give you something better. Holly is a young 19 years girl that had her first encounter with a client who want to know why she had become a prostitute. This will lead to the story of the last summer when Holly was living with her sister and her sister's husband at their beach house where she will became friendly with 2 other boys and a girl. Not the best synopsis ever written, but at least it had something to do with the film.I couldn't resist when I've seen the beach and I've take a screen capture. You can call it a typical English beach on a good day if you want :tease:

This is the first adult film directed by Roberta Findlay that most people know as the director of Snuff and the sofcore New York roughies that she had made with her husband (Michael Findlay). The film isn't too bad and it seems a little bit inspired by Last Summer (this isn't a copy or anything, but the basic is the same). But I've a big problem with it, this is a cut version and the part cut is an important one since that explain the transformation of Holly without it isn't possible to understand why she change her attitude suddenly (I've seen the complete film before, so permit me to say F you Caballero for scrapping another classic). Another problem the acting... Sure Robert Kerman, Michael Gaunt, Crystal Sync, Marlene Willoughby and Carter Stevens can act. But Beth Anna, even if she is a good looking Native American, can't act at all and when a movie rest on the shoulders of an actress who had an acting talent more wooden than the Amazonian forest it's kind of annoying... Patty Boyd had an important uncredited part in this film and this is always a good thing for me. The end doesn't really make sense with or without the missing scene.
I can't really recommand this one at least on dvd.

My Thoughts:
This movie is a real surprise coming from Shaun Costello who is most known as the director of Water Power, Forced Entry and Kathy's Graduation Present (not really since he is uncredited for this one, but I need to watch it just because of the title). This one is an adaptation of Beauty and the beast where the story happen in the present day and no the beast isn't some kind of monster (for that you will have to watch this one (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0180499/)). This is a very romantic movie (in fact the target of it is certainly the woman) where the beast hide himself behind a false image to find a girl who will like him for who he is. The parts where Bella dreams of her prince are incredibly romantic and I'm almost sure that the music of Somewhere in Time is used for those scenes (what? No I've never seen this movie and I don't even own it (http://aesppres.com/phpdvdprofiler/index.php?mediaid=025192091124&action=show)). The interpretation is correct and Loni Sanders that I've discovered in this movie can easilly take a movie on her shoulders. Patty Boyd is again in this movie using a different name and a different look as usual (what can I say? I like her and I've previewed to watch a lot of her movies in the next weeks). Nicole Black another underated actress is in this film also.A really good movie that I recommand strongly to everyone (even if it's a women movie firstly)

My Thoughts:
Another good discovery that had many cast members of Debbie Does Dallas (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,695.msg71259.html#msg71259) and evidently Patty Boyd using a different name again. The story is interesting since it deals with a fail marriage and how to make it works again (ok it's an adult movie, so we know what is the problem and what will be solution). I can't say that Merle Michaels is one of my favorite actress (not really my kind of woman and not really a great one to lead a movie), but she's ok to play a young naive woman. Evidently when Eric Edwards is in a movie you know that you will see a real acting performance and this is the case here too. Patty Boyd give a funny performance playing the sex therapist with a great mexican accent. Finally Rikki O'Neal looks as good than always and she isn't a bad actress also (she haven't appears in a lot of movies, but she is always great). The director had used one of my favourite trick in this movie when Susan had her last appointment with her psychiatrist. She gave him oral sex, but we never see him and all happen like if we were the receiver since she seems to talk directly to the viewer (love this since I've watched Rene Bond's Sex Fantaisies the first time). By the way this scene is introduced by this phrase said directly at the camera : "I want to have a party in my mouth and I want you to be the first to come". Another recommandation

This one is a deception... Sure you have a good casting, I will certainly not make any complaint about a movie with Patty Boyd, Clea Carson, Beth Anna and Roger Caine (a real actor that you can appreciated in George Romero's Martin) but... This movie doesn't have a story or it has one for 5 minutes. I've said often enough that I watched those movies to see a story with sex scenes and not sex scenes patched together as an excuse for a movie. The synopsis is interesting but the movie doesn't deliver, you can pass this one.

Resurrection of Eve' is the tale of Frank and Eve Paradise, who discover that it takes a lot more than physical attraction to make a relationship work. Their conflict stems from Frank's unrealistic jealousy which so upsets Eve that she becomes involved in a car accident. When Eve is "resurrected" as a beauty following plastic surgery, she and Frank make amends and are soon married. However, their nuptial bliss is hampered by Frank's reluctance to give up his pre-monogamous life-style. Thinking he is missing out on a lot of action, Frank persuades the hesitant Eve to attend group orgies with him. Although disgusted in the beginning, Eve soon learns to enjoy them, much to Frank's dismay.
My Thoughts:
I see this one as a movie clearly in two distinct parts. The first one is before Eve had her car accident and her surgery and the second is after the accident. Eve is played before the accident by Mimi Morgan (her first role) and this is my favourite part of the film. The movie here is more romantic, poetic and doesn't really had a lot of explicit sex scenes, but the story is mostly in this section and the acting is more interesting. Sadly after the accident, even with the presence of Marilyn Chambers, the story take a trip to the Behind the green door territory and the film become less interesting with only bad orgy scene after another. As usual with the Mitchell brothers movies most of the performers are unknown (Matthew Armon who played the husband of Eve isn't a bad actor even if this is his only film), but Dale Meador one of their regular is there to play a creepy guy and Johnny Keyes is there for the final with Miss Chambers.This isn't a bad movie, but an uneven one.

My Thoughts:
Here we have a classic and the chance are good that someone else than me had seen it. The story is particullary interesting and contrary to many other movies on the same subject the story is presented in good taste. We see the devellopment of the attraction as it happens (slowly and not immediate, the first time is even an "Accident"). The acting isn't that great, but Kay Parker, Juliet Anderson and Michael Morrison (even if his role isn't really big) do a good job. Well filmed and written, it could had been easilly a mainstream film without the sex scenes. You can recognize many familliar visage in the big orgy scene (that is not bad like they are usually). Even if the movie is a drama, you will laugh many times.Evidently this is a recommandation.

My Thoughts:
I wanted to watch this one for a long time and I've finally found it this week. Evidently what I've seen is in a really bad shape, but for me this is better since this is the way you are supposed to watch those movies. I was interested in this movie for many good reasons (at least for me). Firstly, the director who is in fact Lee Frost using an alias. Frost is a well known director in the exploitation industry who had classic movies like Love Camp 7, Hot Spur, The Defilers, The Scavengers, The Thing with Two Heads and many others in his CV. Secondly, Angela Carnon is in it and she was a pretty good actress in many seventies drive-in movies like Booby Trap, Drop-Out Wife and The Dirty Mind of Young Sally. Finally the fact that this is a roughies had win me.The film itself is a pretty good one that could have been easilly a drive-in classic without the hardcore scenes. In fact they doesn't look like they were in the movie initially (pretty obvious when the Angela Carnon character is attacked by Eddie). But they add something to the criminal psyche, since I see those evidents "stunt women" as a part of the confuse mind of Eddie. You never really know what is the motivation of Eddie for his actions, he seems to be an ex-police officer but this isn't that clear. Evidently everyone in the cast had used an alias and the Internet Adult Film Database isn't a big help to find them, But using my eyes I've recognized some people. So in the cast we have Angela Carnon (she's the girl with the gun on the poster), Starlyn Simone aka Mindy Brandt (Angel Above and the Devil Below, A Dirty Western, A Touch Of Sweden), Kathy Hilton (The Takers, Teaser, The Toy Box), Nikki Hilton (Through the Looking Glass), Uschi Digard (in a small cameo) and Bob Cresse (memorable in the role of the camp guardian in Love Camp 7).
Not as rough as its reputation make you believe, but a movie that I've really appreciated from the beginning untill the end.

My Thoughts:
A very rare theme for an adult movie that is well executed. But it isn't that surprising when we know that Robert McCallum is an alias for Gary Graver a very well known cinematographer and the director or co-director of many relativelly known films like A Woman Under the Influence, The Hard Road, Texas Lightning or Girls for Rent. The cast are a good ensemble of talented actors : Georgina Spelvin is one of the best actress of the golden age, Clair Dia is a real actress who was in The Cheerleaders (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,695.msg71222.html#msg71222) and Doctor Dracula, Sharon Thorpe (another underated actress) proove all her acting talent here in her better performance with the one in Candy Stripers (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,695.msg88374.html#msg88374) and the rest of the cast composed mostly of one timer did a nice job too. For the film itself what you have here is more an erotic film than a graphic one, with some real arousing moment like the fantasm scene in the shower (this is my personal interpretation of it) between Georgina Spelvin and Judith Hamilton (a good friend of miss Spelvin). My Thoughts:
I have this one for quite a while and I wasn't really in a hurry to watch it for some pretty obvious reasons. Finally after skipping it many times I've decided to watch it tonight. Let start this by saying that I've seen many WTF adult movies in my life and except for a Dutch or German film on a farm this is the weirdest thing I've ever seen on tape. The synopsis doesn't give too much, but it's not that hard to make 2+2=4 and understand what this movie is all about. For those who aren't good in math, Jean Silver had one of her lower leg missing and she use her stump to fuck. You can guess that it isn't really sexy or arousing or interesting to watch for an hour. This isn't enough that we had to see Amber Hunt, Kristine Heller and China Leigh received the stump treatment, we have to watch a poor unnamed guy (all the De Renzy's movies had no credits) receiving it too and it looks as uncomfortable that it sounds. The worst is that a good movie could have been done around this theme with a nice story and some variations, honestly after the second scenes with the poor guy I was already tired of this. Sure Jean Silver is a cute little blond, Lori Blue is a redhead and we have a pre-surgery Amber Hunt, but the fact remains that what we have here is one hour of stump screwing :yucky: Rating :

My Thoughts:
This one is more my style of movie than the precedent one, but is it really a surprise... Not really when we know that the director of this film is Joe Sarno hidden behing an alias and I am a big fan of him (I own 16 movies that he had directed). This film play liked an X movie except that some of the moment are hardcore, in fact another version was made at the same time without the adult content and was considered lost untill After Hours Cinema found a print (it will be release this month with Deep Throat 2 and The Switch or How to Alter Your Ego on a 2 DVD set of Sarno's comedy fill with extra like a commentary from Levi Richards, interviews of Douglas Stone and Sarno, trailers and much more. You can be sure that this one is on my wishlist). The story is funny and fill with one liner. Chris Jordan that I've really appreciated in Confessions of a Young American Housewife (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,5062.msg82773.html#msg82773) and Abigail Leslie is back in town (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,5062.msg82715.html#msg82715) give her best acting performance here playing the Genie. Harding Harrison that played the man scamed in The Bite (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,695.msg87765.html#msg87765) does a good job playing the friend of Melvin. Douglas Stone in his only film role had the perfect comic timing and goofy look for playing the title character (I'm not sure why he had done nothing else, I hope that he will explain why in his interview on the future disc). You add to the mix Tina Russel (she's not only one of the most beautifull woman to had appear in the early adult film, she was quite a good actress too), Harry Reems, Marc Stevens (always doing his self promotion wearing a Mr. 10 and a half t-shirt), Levi Richards, Eric Edwards and Sandy Fox.A recommandation and depending of your taste you can get the version reviewed here or the future X rated release.

My Thoughts:
This film is certainly not for everyone, but a lot of the movies I reviewed aren't. The domination in the film is real, so the whipping leave some marks, the slapping is hard, the tying look unconfortable and the language is rough. No story is really present this is more a serie of vignettes (certainly edited for the person with attention deficit disorder ::)), but it's ok for me this time. You can notice that the movie includes male and female domination, whatever sex is the master the action is as rough. The one where Grover Griffith is dominated by Marlene Willoughby and Ultramax is particullary good (even funny :devil:), he will get the beating of his life to teach him to not arrive late again. All the actors there are well known and one of them probably more for most of you : Fred J. Lincoln who was in Last House on the Left... The movie is short at 62 minutes, but it's enough since a too long running time would have plays against him. This film is important historically talking since it was the first rough Sado/Maso film made for the New-York Avon theatre.A good movie in this genre and of course not available at the friendly videoclub near you.

My Thoughts:
It's weird but I'm sure that I've already seen this one a long time ago and it wasn't the kind of adult movie that I was renting as a teenager (didn't really care for the story in those years), maybe it's just a case of a familliar story. Since the plot doesn't really say anything about the movie (looks more like a tagline to me) this is my poor synopsis. Joan (Tina Russell) and Frank (Jason Russell) are in need of money and checking the wanted ad in the newspaper they find a job offer for an experimental film paying a thousand dollars for a week of work. It looks like a legitimate project first, but something suspicious will happen fast that will scare Joan to death and change the young couple life forever.I am always amaze when I come across an early hardcore film that had a good quality and made very seriously (with some rare exception the film made before 1973 are always goofy and hard to take seriously). The story look like something that Michael Findlay could had been wrote and directed, but with more subtlety than his usual materials (it's not one of his film, since not a single actor of his usual cast is present). The film isn't that graphic, sure the sex is hardcore but no zoom are use and not a single cum shot is shown (the film was rated 15 in Sweden). The film countains a big twist and a surprise ending who was certainly the inspiration for another film made five years later1. The acting is pretty good too, except for Tina and Jason Russell and the old man playing the psychiatrist (Daniel Harin) none of the actor had appeared in a movie before or after this one (they were probably in a New York theater Troop).
Great discovery, even with the feeling of déjà vue, the only reproach that I can make is that this film isn't long enough.

My Thoughts:
This was made in the mid-eighties so don't expect a mind challenging movie since it isn't. The synopsis say pretty much all you have to know about the story and like most of the film of this time 75% of it was sex scenes (at least it's better than the ones produce actually were 99.9% of the film is uninspired sex). Don't expect me to write on the acting since it's not really important for those films (even if Ginger Lynn, Jamie Gillies and Jerry Butler are pretty good ones). So I will go with what was important for me as a teenager when it was made... The girls in the film :devil: Pretty much everybody know who is Ginger Lynn, the all-american girl of her time and one of the most successfull actress of this era with Christy Canyon and Amber Lynn.

The photography is sure beautifull too since this movie was filmed on the island of Maui in the Hawaii States. The musical score isn't too bad also.
Nice time waster if you don't want to think too much.

I only know her from "Wing Commander 3: The Heart of the Tiger" (I only learned later that she was a porn actress before). In the game you had a choice to date her character (Rachel), or the red-head Flint. I usually picked Rachel ;D

This movie was made to have a good laugh at the expense of Richard Nixon after the Watergate. A little bit of history is necessary here, no not about the Watergate, but to explain why he deserved to be laugh at. In 1969 Lyndon B. Johnson had created the President's Commission on Obscenity, the report found that obscenity and pornography were not important social problems, that there was no evidence that exposure to such material was harmful to individuals, and that current legal and policy initiatives were more likely to create problems than solve them. In conclusion it was recommanded that the Federal, State, and Local legislation prohibiting the sale, exhibition, or distribution of sexual materials to consenting adults should be repealed. The first action of Nixon when he was elected was to thrown the report in the garbage. No need to wrote that the Commission conclusion are my thought and are completly logic. On a funny note one of the Commission member was dissident and this charming character was Charles Keating (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Keating) but this is another story.First thing to denote is that the actor who play Nixon looks a lot like him, in fact he had played the President in 9 films between 1971 and 1977.

The humouristic side of this film is correct and most of it involves Nixon and his anti-pornography crusade. Evidently the film shown him as a two-faced man using for this the lustfull gaze he had at his secretary and the Chinese Ambassador while his rhetoric is always that the pornography is the biggest threat againt the United States security (at one point he says that it's a communist plot). The acting of this guy is good too, but most of the other cast members acting is pretty bad (the worst is certainly the actress playing the Chinese Ambasador, I'm almost sure that she is Ming Toy who was in Captain Lust and the Pirate Women with a different alias). The sex scenes aren't that great with a couple of exceptions and doesn't seem to had a reason to be there beyond the fact that the audience will feel cheated without. Those scenes look more like a recuperation of old loops than anything except for the scenes involving Tina Russell, Helen Madigan and Marc Stevens.
Not a great film and certainly not the best movie of his time (some movies are forgotten for good reason), but the central part of it with the Nixon impressionist is nicely done and entertaining.

My Thoughts:
The term "true classic" is certainly a little bit too strong here, but the label usually like to exagerate the importance of their released. What we have here is a quickie, this term means a film that was made in less than a day usually with a budget of less than a thousand dollars (cast and crew salary, film stock, editing and lab cost) and many of them are considered lost. Don't really expect a story here, but most a central idea and the theme here is a dentist office and the doctor dental technics. For a film of this kind this is a good one, I would had been quite pleased if my dentist office would had been like this one :laugh:. The actors had mostly used an alias (Pencil Sharp, Mona Moan, Nag Analf, Les Sek) and many are uncredited (Joan Devlon, Dianne Galke and Desiree West). One of the scene doesn't happened at the office, but this is an interesting one with a lot of vegetables used in a different way than usually ;). The cover is evidently one of those I don't like that had nothing to do with the movie. Rating :

My Thoughts:
Looks like a pretty tiny synopsis but that's it. A criminal gang composed of 3 guys and 1 woman captured an hitchiker (played by Vanessa Del Rio) gangrape her and hijack a familly camper after and do the same to them. So it's clearly a film for everyone in the familly... It's an Avon production so it's pretty obvious that it's not for everyone taste. The first part with the hitchiker is the best one since the acting is really convincing (no smiling, no laughing and played very hard), Vanessa Del Rio performance had a feeling of truth here (don't worry it's only acting). But the movie loose is cinema vérité look when the gang capture the familly, since the girls can't hide their smile and everything look fake. Too bad since this is suppose to be very rough with the gang forcing the 2 girls (Clea Carson and Susaye London) to have oral sex with their father (John Bush), before they sexually assaulted the girls and the mother (Barbara Ames) in front of the father. The film as a good ending since the familly escaped (probably the hitchiker too) and the guys end in prison.If you like that genre you will like this one, if you don't forget about it.

My Thoughts:
This one is certainly an oddity as an adult film, since it feels a lot more like a grade B horror TV films made in the seventies than an adult film (of course without the hardcore scene). What I means by this is that at least 95% of this film doesn't involve sexuality (nothing wrong with that since I like my film to have a story). The problem reside in the fact that this isn't really interesting or original (sure it doesn't help that I don't really like this kind of horror movie). The story move slowly and is overly complicated to follow. Peter Balakoff does a good job playing the psychiatrist what is not necessary a surprise since he had appeared in many TV series usually under the name Ted Roter. Gena Lee does an honest job also in her role. The rest of the acting is hit or miss. I use the R-Rated for this one, but it could have been placed really easilly in my other review thread.

My Thoughts:
As usual the synopsis made this film sound sleazier than it is actually, since it's a wonderfull and tastefull takes on the subject. All the film is based on the love that a brother and a sister (Paul Thomas and Kristine Heller) had always had for each other since their childhood and their young cousin (Annette Haven) who was humiliated by them in the past. You can even call it a revenge movie since she wants to get back at her cousins. Like I've said the subject is treated with taste and the script from William Dance is the reason for this (for another good movie based on one of his script you can check Little Girls Blue 1 and 2). The script use the good old teasing trick and plays it greatly, in fact you have to wait almost one hour for the first complete sex act (between John Leslie and Linda Wong). Not too long after you will get one of the weirdest sex party ever filmed : almost everyone wear a mask or a costume, so you have a clown, Abraham Lincoln, a caveman, a lot of scary transparent mask (like the one used in Last House on Dead End Street) and more... At the end the cousin will get her revenge in a real shocking and surprise ending.This movie is one of the few where Kristine Heller had the first role (ok it's really Annette Haven who had it, but she steals the show), Paul Thomas is as good as he always is and Annette Haven gives a good performance also.

My Thoughts:
Surprisingly this one had a pretty good story considering it was made in the mid-eighties a period where movie with a script were a rare thing. Sure the fact that McDonald is the director is a hint, he had previously made For Services Rendered (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,695.msg87219.html#msg87219) and Alexandra (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,753.msg70747.html#msg70747) two story filled movie. The second hint of quality is the fact that it's a David Friedman production, The Mighty Monarch of Exploitation himself ;DSo what we have here is a conventional detective investigation story with some bad guys, murder framing, a man trying to get the detective to work for him (playing by M. Friedman himself) and of course some love interest. The investigation doesn't end has we think it will, so we get a surprise ending. The movie is well acted, but when you have Leslie, Pacheco and Angel in a cast this isn't a surprise. You get a lot of footage of Hollywood since it was filmed there (always great to see some vintage theatrical poster). The film had a lot of funny line also and even if it countains many sex scenes (common it's the eighties) none of them are gratuitious. Since I ain't the biggest fan of Seka (never understand her appeal, she looks like an unnatural trailer trash girl to my eyes), I was happy to see that her role is really small.
A fun way to pass 90 minutes who doesn't look that long

Since this movie is an Avon production directed by Phil Prince I don't think it's necessary to write that it isn't a film for everyone (so why I've written it?). From my precedent reviews of The Story of Prunella (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,695.msg87970.html#msg87970), The Taming of Rebecca (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,695.msg87973.html#msg87973) and Kneel Before Me (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,5335.msg88672.html#msg88672) you have already understand that those movies were made for a limited target audience. Those films are rough and aren't pleasant or arousing to watch, but it doesn't mean that you can't appreciate their historical importance (the Meese commission had used them as an exemple of how all the adult movies were ::)) or the acting performances.This is the fourth of those that I've reviewed here and I've to say that it's the one that made me feel the more incomfortable while watching (you will understand why later). The story start slowly and the film is kind of boring before the show, sure George Payne gave another good domination act but it's short and not really rough (without mentionning that Ambrosia Fox and Niko are present and do nothing except than watching). So for the first 20 minutes this film is a waste of my time (even more when we consider that the print quality is awfull)... After this the girls (Annie Sprinkle and Debbie Cole) are bring upstair for the S&M show and the film continue to be annoying for a while. Now that where as a guy I was really not confortable (and I really mean it), a poor man (Billy Kirk in it's only role) is bring on the stage to be humiliate and torture. OK here we go... The poor guy is anally fisted (and not just a little bit, since the arm penetration reach the elbow) and like it wasn't enough already after that he is sodomised with a giant wooden phallus. After that you certainly hope that it's finally over with the male torture and you're right at least for him, but... The Mistress wants to have her fun too, but Billy Kirk isn't available anymore probably because he is already at the emergency, so she need someone else. The lucky guy is Alan Adrien who will come on the stage to had his penis hand slappen, hitten with a stick, squizzen, pinched with a lot of clothespin and as a reward Mistress Candice will pissed on him. Finally it's over with a rushed conclusion and by the way we will never discover what is written on the Chinese manuscript or why it is important.
I think that I've given you a good enough description for helping you to decide if this is or isn't a film for you. This is probably the only review that I've written that I can say I'm happy to block from the homepage...

Now this is a more fun one than the precedent... The story isn't really complicated, 2 guys (Butler and Serling) want to have a great summer but they aren't really lucky so one of them get the idea to go to a summer camp for rich teenage girls. But he have an obvious problem since he is a guy, the solution becoming a girl (and not a pretty one :laugh:) and becoming the assistant of the camp owner. It works and his friend will soon get at the camp as one of the teenage campers. This movie is a lot of fun, full of joke and double meaning phrase, well act by Jerry butler (one of the last real actors in the eighties) and Jay Serling. The girl cast is awesome also with Traci Lords (the reason why the film isn't available everywhere), Stacy Donovan, Rikki Blake, Crystal Breeze, Rachel Ashley, Jacy Allen, Cynthia Brooks and Kristara Barrington. You get a laugh everytime that one of them discover that Aunt Patty and Tony aren't a girls (as it wasn't obvious :laugh:). At the end the girls had the last laugh since they have their secret also.Great way to pass an hour and a half in front of the tv.

My Thoughts:
Now we have an oddity, a pretty good adaptation of a story of the old testament done in the adult way. The first important fact about this film to know is that it was made after the Mitchell Brothers were condamned by a New-York judge in an obscenity trial for Beyond the Green Door who had written in his judgement that the act in the movie were worst than the one in the city of Sodom and Gomorrah ::). Like I've said this is a faithfull adapdation (I think) where we follow the tribulation of Lot and his familly after they had splited with their tribe untill they decide to establish themselves in the city of Sodom. The city is rule by a dictator who to control the wealth and the good lifestyle of the city had decided to control the population expansion. His way : becoming a god who prohibits all the sexual intercourse that can result to childbirth. So I think you know what is the sexual act of choice in the city (anyway the name came from the city name, so it's kind of obvious). The movie in general is well acted even if like all the Mitchell Brother's movies most of the actors are one timer. It doesn't mean that none of them are known since Joan Devlon, Sharon Thorpe, Johnny Keyes, Dale Meador, Ken Scudder, Tyler Reynolds and Ken Turner (he blows himself again in this) are in the cast. The filming location looks a lot like the Middle East (evidently this isn't since it was filmed somewhere in California). At the end Job will flee from the city and survive it's destruction, but his wife will die since she will look the city one last time (I don't think it's a big spoiler since everybody actually know the end of this biblical tale). The only real problem is that this film is way too long, not that I can't appreciate an adult movie with a long running time (Take Off (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,5335.msg89414.html#msg89414) last 1h43 and this is one of my favorite movie) but this one feels long.This one is hard to find since it was never released on dvd (like many other production of the Mitchell brothers) and I ain't even sure if it had a wide released on vhs.

My Thoughts:
After I've highly praised The Debauchers (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,5335.msg91183.html#msg91183) on another website a member who share my taste in adult cinema had recommended this one by the same director to me. I will start by writen a synopsis since the one above had nothing to do with anything in this film. Our film start when John (Patrick M. Wright) returning from a travel to Houston doesn't find his sister (Jean Parker) in their apartment, thinking that she is always sleeping he go to her bedroom to wake her up. A shocking vision wait for him in the room, his sister was brutally killed. The story will follow his research to find the killer, since the police aren't really helping since she was a stripper.
What we have here is what I call an "in between" film, more clearly a movie made between the end of the golden age of the New York sexploitation genre and the porno chic explosion. Don't really expect an hardcore movie since those movies were made to test the limit of the obscenity law. So no real penetration (that's why an actor like Wright is the lead), no cumshot and no zoom in, in fact the only hardcore moments are the oral sex scenes (that are really short). It looks like nothing, but a couple of year before the idea of showing pubic hair or a man penis in a real film production was something unimaginable. The story is pretty good and is told in flasback when John will question someone about the action of his sister in the last week. Eventually he will find the killer and it will be a surprise for him and the viewer. The acting is decent since you have real actors in the cast (Wright, David Marcus, Paul Matthews and Larry Hunter), but you have a certain ammount of miss line by many actors when they had too much to say. Tina Russell had an uncredited role in the film (Laura Cannon also according to imdb, but it's certainly an error since I was unable to locate her in the film).
Not as good than The Debauchers (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,5335.msg91183.html#msg91183) but a good one, just don't expect a very graphic film.

The cast credit includes also Crystal Sync (without her usual ugly wig) and Clea Carson (one of my favorite). Tara Chung who plays Karen, the title character, had done a pretty good job at looking insane (even if she overact by moment). The film had its share of blood and graphic killing for the fans of this.... But even with the good cast and the unusual subject this film haven't succeed to keep me interested, maybe it's the bad musical score or the fact that this subject was treated many time in mainstream film but I see this film as a weak Roberta Findlay effort. My Thoughts:
You can't go wrong when you choose a Shaun Costello's production and it's again the case here. Sure it's a quickie made with no real budget, but you feel that it was a good time for the cast as usual on his set. Like many production of this period no credits are present so I've to trust my visual memory for the cast and I haven't the slightest idea of who play the character of Suzanne (not that it's really a bad thing since she can't really act) or her mother who looks younger than her by the way. The only other actor that I was able to recognized is Alan Marlowe (who is the husband of Barbara Bourbon in The Private Afternoons of Pamela Mann (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,753.msg70752.html#msg70752)) and I'm almost certain that Ron Dorfman is the masked man in the final orgy scene (he is a cinematographer who had worked on some b-movie like Career Bed, Bloodsucking Freaks and Night of the Zombies). Of course none of the actors look like the teenagers they are supposed to be (Clea Carson look the youngest and she was in her young twenties). The story is certainly predictable, but you get many funny interludes with the mother and father (Ron Dorfman) while they are on their honeymoon. The acting isn't particullary good since only Jenny Baxter and Clea Carson try to act (at least they know their lines). But honestly I couldn't care less about the weak acting or the predictable story when a movie had an awesome threesome with Clea Carson :drooling: Rating :

My Thoughts:
Probably one the best movie with Pretty Peaches (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,695.msg88467.html#msg88467) directed by Alex de Renzy. The story of this one isn't too complicated, but it's just another proof that the seventies was a great time. A great cast who know how to act (with some exceptions) and look good and real. As written in the synopsis the action of the film happen at the Training Camp who is in fact a man brothel where the poor guys must pleased costumers like Angela Haze, Amber Hunt, Sandy Pinney, Desiree West and Kristine Heller ::) Talking of Kristine Heller her scene is the highlight of this film, she does it with 9 guys (not impressive now, but it was not common for this period and, to be honest, this is sexy, classy, arousing and tastefully filmed). A real classic who is hard to find complete but a great rewarding viewing.
Like all his movie no credits are present and one of the unknown actress (at least for me) is incredibly gorgeous.

Sorry Roger this isn't really a western, but there are some cowboys and a rodeo :laugh:Where to start with this? Here we go, some movies had dissapeared for real good reasons and this is one of them. Most of the cast here are complete unknown with the exception of miss Corey (who isn't really a frontliner), John Seeman (uncredited) and Ken Scudder (uncredited also). It doesn't help that the acting is atrocious and everyone used a really bad and annoying Texas accent (except for the Lisa Sue Corey character who is supposed to be from San Francisco). I've mentionned a rodeo in my introduction but don't get your expectations too high, since it's a Chooper Rodeo1... Only real positive point for this movie, the instrumental country score done by Gerry Kaplan (obviously an alias) is pretty good and not really annoying (I ain't a fan of country music and I've appreciated it).
Nothing special here... At least it's a short one.

1. A Chooper Rodeo is the use of bad stock footages of a cheap rodeo (if you have watched The Chooper from Ray Dennis Steckler, you certainly understand) to fill the running time of a film.

My Thoughts:
Another Shaun Costello's quickie and the story for this one isn't really complicated... Kathy (Cedar Houston) receives 500$ from her parent as a graduation gift and her friend Anita (Annie Sprinkle) will organized a party for her with this money with all their friends.... That's it. The story isn't even that important since 90% of this movie is composed of sex scenes (not that anything is wrong with this since most of those scenes are pretty hot). If you are familliar with the Costello's production, you will recognized a lot of his regular actors pool members. Speaking of the cast this is pretty good looking one (ok Leo Lovemore isn't that good looking, he is the caterer) but when your movie cast include Jennifer Jordan, Annie Sprinkle, Cedar Houston, Nikki Hilton (no, not the Paris sister :laugh:), Jamie Gillis, Alan Marlowe and Costello himself this isn't a big surprise. Like I've said the sex is pretty hot in this with one threesome (Sprinkle/Gillies and Marlowe), one foursome (Houston/Gillies/Marlowe and Costello) the present for Kathy and an erotic one between Jennifer Jordan and Shaun Costello in the bath.Not an essential viewing, but certainly not a waste of time.

My Thoughts:
When the name of Marilyn Chambers appear in a movie you know immediatly that you will watch something classy and well made, of course this is the case also with this one. The funniest thing is that a mainstream movie with a synopsis like that will certainly not interested me one second. So we have here a real movie on the rise to fame of a new country singer (Chambers) and the decline of an old star (DeLeeuws). The acting is pretty good for a movie made in the eighties (but this one was theatrically release), not a surprise in the case of Marilyn Chambers (who sing her own song in the film and her voice is damn good), but in the case of Lisa DeLeeuws that's a surprise (this is probably her best acting performance ever). The rest of the supporting cast does an honest job also and John Lazar who was in Beyond the Valley of the Dolls and Supervixens (2 awesome Russ Meyer's movies) had an important role in the film. This was a big budgeted one an it shown in the musical score, the multiple outdoor locations and the wonderfull cinematography of Jack Remy. Really a great classic too bad that no more movies like this are made

My Thoughts:
This one had a really complex story, remember when I've said that I liked my adult film with a good story, so complex in fact that it will took you quite some time to understand what happens and why it's happen. At first the story seems very straightforward and, to be honest, not really interesting, but... This film had more twist in it that The Sixth Sense had and not 1, not 2, but 3 surprise ending. So if you guess the end you are way better than me :laugh:The acting from the principal members of the cast is excellent (in fact this is some of the better performances I've seen in an adult movie). The actors stay in characters all the time, even for their sex scenes and this isn't something that happen often. an interesting fact to note : this movie is the last one of Jennifer Jordan who was the best actress to have ever appear in an adult film.
Excellent film, but with a really annoying theme song :yucky:

Very weak and unoriginal offerring from Garry Graver, anyway this is the story. Charlie (Jon Martin) after a long mariage cheat more and more often his wife (Kay Parker) with his secretary (Laurie Smith). Of course his wife will discovered this and she will do the same with her husband best friend (Paul Thomas) and the water delivery boy (Marc Wallice) who happens to be a porn actor also on the side. Evidently at the end the couple will fall in love again... Does it sound like tv movie of the week to you? Another weakness of this film is the sex scenes that are short and not really inspired. Really even with the presence of Kay Parker and Tara Aire this film is a borefest.Rating :

My Thoughts:
As usual when I found a Tina Russel's movie I can't wait to watch it and it skips all my unwatched list of adult movies (more than 300 :stars:). This movie is the first adult film directed by Jerry Denby, two years before his masterpiece : The Big Con aka The Bite (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,695.msg87765.html#msg87765). Of course he was not a beginner since he had started his career 10 years before in the New York sexploitation film bussiness (as an actor, director, producer and cinematographer) like many other directors (even some mainstream one). Being a 73 movie it share the same "weakness" than many others films of this time : the impressions of watching a series of loop. Of course this isn't the case since it's a complete film, but the fact to use the flashback to tell the story gives this impression. The story is a good one (even if you can guess easilly what had happen to Barbara Hamilton, but the end isn't the one I was expecting). The acting like in many other films made before Deep Throat (you know already that for me this film is a piece of crap) is excellent. Of course most of the actors of this period were theatre and Broadway performers.Another good Tina Russel's movie, not as good as The Debauchers (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,5335.msg91183.html#msg91183) but certainly better than The Presidential Peepers (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,5335.msg91283.html#msg91283).

Another good discovery where all the scenes are the fantasy of Bernard Lipshitz (Hurst) who is in reality a pathetic looser (to be polite). He is exploited and insulted by his boss (Caine), his boss secretary (Jordan), his false handicaped mother (Lyndee Mitchell) and his poker friends (Cecil Howard, Bud Green, Roland Reals and Chuck Vincent). But in his fantasy world everything is possible ;D he can humiliated his boss and his secretary, he can become a sex machine and he can kill his mother. Sure you need to appreciate Jeffrey Hurst since he is almost in all the scenes. A very beautifull film who make a good use of some great erotic poetry. Wait untill the end for a very arousing and erotic finale between Jeffrey Hurst and Terri Hall (who gives one of her best acting performance in this film).Rating :
