Title: NCIS Marathon
Post by: addicted2dvd on November 29, 2007, 05:42:08 PM
NCIS Marathon
Season 1 of 6
I have been a long time fan of JAG... so I was thrilled to hear there would be a spin-off. And let me tell you... this series did not disappoint... I am still completely hooked on the series. and was so since the very first episode. I adore all the characters on this show. That alone says something. I have never personally been attracted in any way to Goth women... but I have to admit... Abbey ended up being a first... she is absolutely adorable. Then I found out that she is a real life Goth... and that kinda flipped me out. But anyway... this is a great show I highly recommend.

NCIS: Season 1: Disc 1

1. YANKEE WHITE
A Navy commander carrying the "football" on Air Force One collapses mid-flight and dies.

My Thoughts:
This is a start of an awesome series.  I have been hooked since day one... when this episode first aired. I really enjoyed every one of the main characters from the very first episode. There is not many shows you can say that about. I also really liked how they introduced  Kate. And Gibbs... he is just a trip! I don't know what I would call his type of humor... sarcastic don't seem to fit it right... but what ever you would call it... it is another thing that brings me back episode after episode. In this episode there is an elaborate plan to try to kill the president on Air Force One.

2. HUNG OUT TO DRY
A Marine is killed during a night training jump, and Gibbs (Mark Harmon) thinks it's a murder.

My Thoughts:
This was another really good episode. Talk about a terrible way to die! I couldn't imagine... Of course it would be hard being the couple that was in the SUV as well. I had to laugh on how DiNozzo finally got to try sky diving. That is something that looks awful fun... yet completely scary to me. I myself have never even seen a plane close up let alone fly in one!

3. SEADOG
A Navy sailor is killed, an apparent casualty of a drug war, but Gibbs and his team refuse to believe the sailor was dirty,

My Thoughts:
Another really good episode. I really get a kick out of all the bluffs and such Gibbs pulls on this show. His character is one tough SOB!... but at the same time you can tell he really cares about people.

4. THE IMMORTALS
A young sailor is found drowned In what appears to be a video game gone wrong.

My Thoughts:
OK... I have to admit... I for one have never seen the appeal these online games has. Sure I enjoy playing a video game here and there... but never had the urge to play something online with thousands of other people. Give me a console hooked up to a TV and a one player game that I can play here and there when the mood hits... and that is all I need. and talk about taking the game to the next level... These sailors were right nuts! Pretty cool episode though.

NCIS: Season 1: Disc 2

5. THE CURSE
When a Navy lieutenant's mummified remains are discovered almost ten years after he was reported missing along with one million dollars from his ship's safe, Gibbs and his team Investigate the death as well as the theft.

My Thoughts:
This was a really good episode. Leave it to Abby to bring up a curse of some sort over such a find. Once again... I have to say... I loved the way Gibbs bluffed his way through to get the confession they needed. Some of the things he comes up with is just too cool.

6. HIGH, SEAS
Two sailors from the same ship overdose on meth, despite their claims of never having touched the drugs.

My Thoughts:
Enjoyed the episode a lot... but is one of those ones that nothing really sticks out to be extraordinary.

7. SUB ROSA
Gibbs and Todd (Sasha Alexander) investigate the possibility of an impostor on board a nuclear submarine.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. The body they found in this episode was less then appealing. This series does have a slight bit of a gore factor when it comes to the remains. I really liked how Gibbs took up for Kate when they were not going to let her on the sub... but was sure to do so without doing it in front of her.

8. MINIMUM SECURITY
A mysterious death leads Gibbs and the team into the heart of the terrorist detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

My Thoughts:
This episode is one that never really impressed me much. Nothing really bad about it... and really can't put my finger on what it was that bothered me... but definitely not one I look forward to watching during my marathons.

NCIS: Season 1: Disc 3

9. MARINE DOWN
A Marine, purported to have been killed in action, contacts his would-be widow from "beyond the grave."

My Thoughts:
This was another good episode. To be at someone's wake and to have a call from what you believe is him... talk about messing with your mind.

10. LEFT FOR DEAD
A woman who digs herself out of a grave after being buried alive comes to the attention of Gibbs and his team when she says she remembers something about a bomb being hidden on a Navy ship, even though she has amnesia.

My Thoughts:
Another really good episode... another freaky situation... to wake up finding that you were buried alive... luckily in a shallow grave... but still.

11. EYE SPY
A satellite operative inadvertently witnesses a murder while spying on a nude sunbather.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... but not great. what feels to be a basic filler episode.

12. MY OTHER LEFT FOOT
N.C.I.S. is called in when the leg of a missing Marine is found in a dumpster in West Virginia.

My Thoughts:
This is a good one. The story kept you (or me at least) guessing for a good portion of the episode.

NCIS: Season 1: Disc 4
13. ONE SHOT, ONE KILL
Marine recruiters are being killed by a sniper, and the team tries to find the killer before he strikes again.

My Thoughts:
This was a really good episode... I really enjoyed every minute of it.  This episode shows you just how good snipers can be trained to be.

14. THE GOOD SAMARITAN
The nude, bound bodies of young Naval officers are being discovered off the roads leading to Norfolk.

My Thoughts:
This was a basic good episode... nothing that really stood out to be special... but enjoyable all the same.

15. ENIGMA
Gibbs' former commanding officer, AWOL from Iraq, enlists Gibbs' help in uncovering a dangerous conspiracy.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. This one has a decent mystery story to it as well as all the usually you expect from the series.

16. BETE NOIRE
An unknown terrorist enters the NCIS headquarters and takes several members of the team hostage.

My Thoughts:
This one remains one of my favorites... and it starts what turns out to be a rather long arc for the series... over a season and a half! Even though that sounds like it would get old... it really doesn't. Not only because it is a really good arc.. but because they don't feel the need to constantly focus on it.. instead they will go a up to several episode without hardly even mentioning it You can tell it is still there... but it not only takes the center story away from it... it also only uses the slightest reminders in those episodes.

Season 1: Disc 5

17. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE
The body of a young officer is found at the scene of an underground rave.

My Thoughts
A good episode... but not one I particularly found to be all that special. Just a good basic episode.

18. UNSEALED
An ex-Navy Seal, convicted of killing his wife, escapes from Leavenworth to pursue the real killer.

My Thoughts
This one was a really good episode... it had me glued to my seat for the whole episode.

19. DEAD MAN TALKING
An N.C.I.S. team member is found murdered while exploring a cold case.

My Thoughts:
Another episode that was really good.

20.MISSING
A Marine is kidnapped and systematically tortured, and the team tries to find him before it is too late.

My Thoughts
This is one of the great episode... another one that I was really glued to my seat while watching it. I have to admit... this one did have me guessing who was guilty the first time I watched it.

Season 1: Disc 6
21. SPLIT DECISION
A Marine is found murdered by an anti-tank weapon, and the investigation leads NCIS to a local militia group.

My Thoughts:
A good basic episode... even though they couldn't resist putting that hard to believe landing of the body in there.. but I have to admit... as hard as it was to believe... I still found it to be a fun aspect of the death. Which I would only image was the point... put a little fun into it.

22. A WEAK LINK
A Navy SEAL is found dead under mysterious circumstances on the eve of a top -secret mission.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. Though I do have to admit I figured it all out slightly before they solved the case.

23. REVEILLE
Gibbs' determination to track down the terrorist from 'Bete Noire' becomes an obsession that concerns his entire team.

My Thoughts:
This was a decent episode... though I do have to admit I wasn't completely thrilled with the ending... not for a season finale anyway.

Season 1 Thoughts:
This really was a great start to an awesome series. There is even a nice amount of extras to enjoy along with the episodes. The set was done right. The only real complaint I have is that this is another series that does not have a play all function.

What with my mother being back in the hospital.. and having it hard right now... I am afraid real life is getting in the way to do a complete 4 season marathon now... so I need to put this series' marathon on hold till a better time.

After two long years I thought I would pull this marathon out of the moth balls as well. I also have one more season of the series in my collection now as well.

Just like all the other ones I am working on... this will be a slow marathon. I will be watching the episodes here and there and posting my reviews a disc at a time.

NCIS: Season 2
N.C.I.S.: The Complete Second Season continues to thrill audiences with its surprising twists and character-driven stories in this incredible six-disc set. Led by Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), this squad of highly trained N.C.I.S. agents proves it is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to thwart espionage and terrorism around the world. Intense and fast-moving, all 23 episodes of N.C.I.S.: The Complete Second Season are filled with even more of the wit and humor that has become a signature of this smash-hit show's incomparable style.

1. SEE NO EVIL
The race is on as the N.C.I.S. team attempts to rescue a Navy captain's kidnapped wife and his blind 9-year-old daughter.

My Thoughts:
This is an excellent episode. One of my favorites. Not only does the little blind girl impress you. But the first time I watched this one I did not see this ending coming.

My Rating:

2. THE G00D WIVES CLUB
The N.C.I.S. team investigates the bizarre discovery of a dead woman wearing a wedding dress found in a subterranean prison cell made to resemble a 1950s bedroom.

My Thoughts:
A very good episode. Other then the main storyline... McGee gets teased for reading women's magazines... DiNozzo and Kate still going at it. Once again I didn't see the ending coming when I first watched this one. Which of course is always a good thing.

My Rating:

3. VANISHED
Gibbs and the N.C.I.S. team investigate a helicopter that's discovered sitting in the middle of a crop circle...with both pilots missing.

My Thoughts:
A good... but not great episode. I didn't care about the story or the characters as much this time around.

My Rating:

4. LT. JANE DOE
Ducky (David McCallum) links the rape and murder of a woman to a similar unsolved murder that has been haunting him for 10 years.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. Ducky hides the connection between the recent rape/murder and the one 10 years earlier until he is sure he is right. In this one Tony must face some bad karma when he doesn't return a little extra change he got in a drive-thru.

My Rating:

NCIS: Season 2: Disc 2

5. THE BONE YARD
The body of an undercover FBI agent is found on a Marine bombing range and the N.C.I.S. team discovers the mafia has been dumping bodies there for years.

My Thoughts:
A good episode. I really got a kick out of what Gibbs pulled with the Prima Cord.

My Rating:

6. TERMINAL LEAVE
A bomb is planted in an Iraqi War veteran's car and now the N.C.I.S. team must protect the veteran from terrorists.

My Thoughts:
Another one I liked a lot. I really enjoyed the hard time the boy gave Tony. I also liked how it turned out to be more then what they originally thought was going on.

My Rating:

7. CALL OF SILENCE
A World War II Medal of Honor recipient confesses to murdering his best friend during a battle at Iwo Jima almost 60 years ago. Believing there's more to the story, Gibbs and the team work to solve the mystery and save the man from going to prison.

My Thoughts:
An excellent story... though it is somewhat slow for my taste in parts.

My Rating:

8. HEART BREAK
In what appears to be a case of spontaneous combustion, Gibbs and his team investigate the mysterious death of a man who seemingly burst into flames.

My Thoughts:
A good... but somewhat standard episode. I do like they way they pulled off the "Spontaneous Human Combustion."

My Rating:

NCIS: Season 2: Disc 3

9. FORCED ENTRY
A woman shoots a would-be rapist in self-defense, but Gibbs and his team find the woman may have lured the attacker to her home under false pretenses.

My Thoughts:
Definitely a good episode. I like the way it has you thinking one way and then turns it completely around on you. This episode also goes a little extra on the gore. eyeballs on the counter... dead guy missing his eyes. A throat sliced deep and wide. Lots of horific images in this episode.

My Rating:

10. CHAINED
While posing as an escaped prisoner, Tony gets chained to a murderous convict, but the two are soon missing in action.

My Thoughts:
A good... but somewhat standard episode. I enjoyed it, but I wasn't overly impressed with it.

My Rating:

11. BLACK WATER
A Naval officer, missing for two years, turns up in a car at the bottom of a lake. Now the missing persons case looks like murder to Gibbs and the team.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. I didn't care much for the detective in this episode... but the story itself is a good one.

My Rating:

12. DOPPRELGANGER
A petty officer's possible murder looks like a hoax to Gibbs and his team, until the petty officer is actually found dead.

My Thoughts:
I liked this one as well... but once again it is pretty standard compared to many episodes.

My Rating:

NCIS: Season 2: Disc 4

13. THE MEAT PUZZLE
After Ducky is kidnapped by a mysterious killer, Gibbs and the others race against time to save their friend and capture the killer.

My Thoughts:
An excellent episode. Whenever one of the team is in serious trouble we seem to end up with a great episode. I guess that is because the characters are so well done that you just can't help to care about them.

My Rating:

14. WITNESS
Gibbs lets McGee run a case after the N.C.I.S. team is called in to investigate the possible murder of a sailor.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. And a familiar face in this one as well.... with Danica McKellar who played Winnie Cooper in The Wonder Years.

My Rating:

15. CAUGHT ON TAPE
A Marine "falls" off a cliff while videotaping his own death and the N.C.I.S. team must investigate.

My Thoughts:
Another one I enjoyed quite a bit. It was actually pretty funny seeing Kate hold on to her belief that men and women can just be friends... and having pretty much everyone disagreeing with you. And situations making it hard to believe.

My Rating:

16. POP LIFE
A bartender wakes to find the woman next to him is not only dead, but she's not the woman he went to bed with. Now Gibbs and his team investigate the mysterious murder.

My Thoughts:
While a good episode... it is pretty standard. And the main storyline just wasn't as interesting to me as most the others.

My Rating:

NCIS: Season 2: Disc 5

17. AN EYE FOR AN EYE
A petty officer commits suicide after the N.C.I.S. team investigates him, which leads the team to one of the officer's lecturers who works for the CIA.

My Thoughts:
This is a pretty good episode. But not really one of my favorites. I liked the parts towards the beginning... but it kinda lost me when Tony and Kate left the country... as the story really slowed down for me.

My Rating:

18. BIKINI WAX
The N.C.I.S. team suspects a possible stalker when a pregnant female petty officer is murdered backstage at a bikini contest.

My Thoughts:
This is a fun episode. I got a kick at the look on Tony's face when he realized the crime scene was at a bikini contest.

My Rating:

19. CONSPIRACY THEORY
Ducky believes love triangles can be murder, at least in the case of the petty officer who was thought to have committed suicide after suffering a supposed "nervous breakdown."

My Thoughts:
Another one I enjoyed quite a bit. I liked how they showed the cause of the nervcous breakdown. It shows in this day and age just because something sounds crazy... that isn't always the case.

My Rating:

20. RED CELL
A Marine in an ROTC program is murdered and Gibbs and his team suspect the soldier was involved in a game with deadly consequences.

My Thoughts:

This is a good... but really standard episode. Nothing really special to talk about.

My Rating:

NCIS: Season 2: Disc 6

21. HOMETOWN HERO
A heroic Navy medic killed in Iraq is the prime suspect in a murder in his hometown and Gibbs and his team work to clear his name.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. I liked how hard the team fought to to clear the medic's name.

My Rating:

22. SWAK
Tony opens a letter only to release a mysterious powder into the N.C.I.S. squad room. Now the team must work to discover an antidote before it's too late.

My Thoughts:
This is such an excellent episode. When you first watch this episode you get the feeling we are about to loose one of the regular characters of the series. I liked how this episode showed no matter how much they argue Kate really does care about Tony... and will go through much to help him.

My Rating:

23. TWILIGHT
Attempting to thwart an assassination attempt on Gibbs, the N.C.I.S. team pays the ultimate price with the death of a team member.

My Thoughts:
Another just excellent episode. And this time we actually do see the end of one of our favorite characters. And it happens so all the sudden and so in your face graphically that to this day... after seeing this episode at least 5 times... it still gets a reaction out of me. Very well done... very strong episode.

My Rating:

Over-All Season 2 Thoughts:
The over-all second season is very strong. Lots of great episodes... and an ending that can't be beat. While it is not what I would personally call a lot... there is a nice modest and well done collection of extras on the set. Definitely a must have for any fan of the series.

NCIS: Season 3: Disc 1

1. KILL ARI (PART I)
Gibbs and the NCIS team must confront their emotions about Kate's death at the hands of Ari, renowned terrorist who may have ties to new NCIS agent Ziva David. Meanwhile, Jenny Shepard, a woman from Gibbs' past, is introduced as the new director of NCIS.

My Thoughts:
This is a good opening to the season. I liked that they got to somewhat deal with their feelings of the lost of the teammate. And I like the couple of new characters we got with the start of the new season.

My Rating: 4

2. KILL ARI ( PART II)
Ducky is kidnapped, and Gibbs tries to avenge Kate's death in a showdown with Ari.

My Thoughts:
A good ending to the 3rd season opener. I like how Ziva is so different then Kate. I think it would have been a mistake replacing her with a similar character.

My Rating: 4

3. MIND GAMES
Three days before a serial killer is executed, Gibbs tries to get him to reveal where the bodies of his victims are buried.

My Thoughts:
An excellent episode. I have enjoyed this one with every viewing. It really has a good and suspenseful storyline.

My Rating: 5

4. SILVER WAR

The NCIS team discovers that a man found encased in a Civil War-era tomb was buried alive.

My Thoughts:
A good... but somewhat standard episode. Though I do like the whole Cival War re-enactment thing... especially Tony's dislike for the whole thing.

My Rating: 4

NCIS: Season 3: Disc 2

5. SWITCH
A murdered petty officer is discovered by the NCIS team to have been leading a double lifer but the man's dying message leads Gibbs and his crew in an entirely different direction.

My Thoughts:
A good... but somewhat standard episode. Feels like a basic filler episode.

My Rating:

6. THE VOYEUR'S WEB
A woman appears to be murdered live on an Internet sex site. Gibbs and his team track down the webmaster and follow the money in order to find the killer.

My Thoughts:
This one is pretty good. I get a kick how Abbey handles having to work with a new assistant.

My Rating:

7. HONOR CODE
In what may or may not be a hoax, a 6-year-old boy informs NCIS that his father, a lieutenant commander who holds the only code to a top-secret program, has been kidnapped.

My Thoughts:
This one is an excellent episode. I really liked the little kid in it. The kid did a great job. I got a chuckle out of Abbey telling gibbs that the kid is like a mini-Gibbs.

My Rating:

8. UNDER COVERS
Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva assume the identities of two murdered assassins and engage in a sexy undercover mission in a lavish hotel suite in order to find who hired the killers.

My Thoughts:
Another episode I liked quite a bit. Ziva and Tony really has some great chemistry together.

My Rating:

NCIS: Season 3: Disc 3

9. FRAME-UP
Tony is accused of murder and the NCIS team must rally to clear his name.

My Thoughts:
This is an excellent episode. One of my favorites of the entire series. They really had Tony framed good... and I love who it was that was doing the framing.

My Rating:

10. PROBIE
While on assignment, McGee kills an undercover police officer. Shepard allows the police to run their own investigation, which pushes Gibbs' relationship with his former girlfriend to the limit.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. This time it is McGee that is in trouble.

My Rating:

11. MODEL BEHAVIOR
A supermodel is murdered while filming a reality TV show, and now Gibbs and his team must separate fact from fiction.

My Thoughts:
This is a fun episode. I really got a kick out of Gibbs trying to handle the press. He is good with cases.... but definitely not good with public relations!

My Rating:

12. BOXED IN
Tony and Ziva disappear while investigating a shipyard for smuggled weapons and it's up to NCIS to find them.

My Thoughts:
Another one that I enjoyed.  As I said before... Tony and Ziva has such good chemestry together. So them two trapped in a shipping container together for pretty much the entire episode was a lot of fun to watch. And I had to laugh at Ziva having to rush off to the ladies room once released.

My Rating:

NCIS: Season 3: Disc 4

13. DECEPTION
Navy lieutenant commander in charge of a shipment of nuclear weapons disappears and the NCIS team must solve the case before the secret location of the weapons is discovered.

My Thoughts:
This is a very good episode. They had to work fast to find the missing lieutenant commander.

My Rating:

14. LIGHT SLEEPER
The wives of two Marines are killed. Fearing that the next victim is a woman and her newborn baby, the NCIS teams springs into action.

My Thoughts:
Another one I enjoyed... but not quite as much as most. And I really can't put my finger on why. The story is good... everyone did a good job... but this one just left me a little disappointed for some reason.

My Rating:

15. HEAD CASE
The NCIS team stumbles upon a grisly discovery in an illegal automotive chop shop run by Marines. Now the crew must look for the full body of evidence.

My Thoughts:
A good episode. Story kept me interested through-out. Definitely worth the time put into it.

My Rating:

16. FAMILY SECRET
An ambulance supposedly carrying the remains of a Marine mysteriously explodes. The NCIS team discovers the ambulance was rigged to blow up, but that the DNA of the victim does not match that of the deceased Marine.

My Thoughts:
A good... but somewhat standard episode. Not one that I think of when I think of my faovrite episodes. Felt more like a good filler episode then anything else.

My Rating:

NCIS: Season 3: Disc 5

17. RAVENOUS
A serial killer is suspected of murder after a missing Marine's dog tags are discovered in a national forest.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. It has a good storyline... and a good pace. I had to laugh at Tony when he saw how that woman he was flirting with didn't shave (her armpit hair and leg hair was twice as long as mine!). He thought fast... and I don't blame him!

My Rating:

18. BAIT
A high school student attaches a bomb to his body and holds his fellow students hostage. Gibbs and the NCIS team realize that someone else may be controlling the student from outside the school.

My Thoughts:
This is a great sepisode! Every time I watch this episode I am glued to the set watching. One of my favorites!

My Rating:

19. ICED
The body of a missing Marine is found in a frozen lake, The NCIS team investigates only to find three more bullet-ridden bodies.

My Thoughts:
Another really good episode. I liked the whole gang storyline.

My Rating:

20. UNTOUCHABLE

A Pentagon cryptographer, suspected of spying, apparently commits suicide. Gibbs and his team discover the cryptographer wasn't alone when she died.

My Thoughts:
While this is a good episode... it is a pretty standard one too. A good, interesting episode but nothing really standing out here to make this one great. Another episode that is more of a filler episode,

21. BLOODBATH
Abby (Pauley Perrette) is almost killed by key evidence in her lab. Gibbs and the NCIS team quickly find that someone from her past wants her dead.

My Thoughts:
This is another of my favorites. An excellent episode. Of course I love the episodes about the adorable goth Abbey. This one is really disturbing... her stalker ex-boyfriend is in a league of his own. I enjoyed this episode so much that I had to watch it immediately again so I could watch it with the Commentary on (Cast Commentary with Pauley Perrettte [Abbey] and Michael Weatherly [DiNozzo]).

My Rating:

22. JEOPARDY
A suspect dies while iN Ziva's custody. The suspect's brother kidnaps Jenny and demands the release of his brother, whom he doesn't know is dead.

My Thoughts:
Another really good episode. I always like the ones where the main cast is in trouble. And this time not one... but two of the newest cast members in trouble. In this episode they did a good job of combining two storylines into one good one.

My Rating:

23. HIATUS (PART 1)
Gibbs is seriously injured in an explosion. While in the hospital he recalls his painful past. Tony is left in charge, which causes resentment among the NCIS team.

My Thoughts:
The start of a very good 2-part season finale. Though I have found while it is a very good story... I tend to drift away from the story after watching it multiple times.

My Rating:

24. HIATUS (PART 2)
Following the bomb explosion, Gibbs struggles to piece, together his memories of the past 15 years. Meanwhile, the NCIS team tries to prevent a terrorist group from carrying out another 9/11-magnitude bombing.

My Thoughts:
A good conclusion to the last episode. And it has an unexpected ending. A good way to end a season... but not really my favorite season finale.

NCIS: Season 4: Disc 1

1. SHALOM
Gibbs is retired in Mexico and the NCIS team must somehow learn to live without him when Ziva becomes the FBI's prime suspect in an assassination attempt. Now she turns to the one person she can trust.

My Thoughts:
This is a pretty good start to the season. I did like how they made you think in the very beginning of the episode that Gibbs was on his way back... when in reality it was another main cast member they were expecting. But they did a pretty good job to make it so Gibbs felt he had to come back... at least temporarily.

My Rating:

2. ESCAPED
After a friend's life is threatened by an escaped convict, Gibbs comes out of retirement and re-opens the convicts armed robber case.

My Thoughts:
a good episode... but not quite as good as the previous one. Gibbs leaving is delayed once again... this time to help he friend in the FBI. Gibbs also finds out he has the opportunity to stay permanently if he wants... but only has about a week to decide.

My Rating:

3. SINGLED OUT
A Navy lieutenant's bloody, abandoned care brings the NCIS team in to investigate a singles' seminar with the hope that one of the male attendees will lead them to the missing lieutenant.

My Thoughts:
not bad... but not a favorite either. I did like seeing Ziva made out to be a geek. And the look on her face when that guy grabbed her ass was hilarious.

My Rating:

4. FAKING IT
A Petty Officer who was working undercover as part of an arms operation is found murdered.

My Thoughts:
This one is ok... but once again not a favorite. Mostly a filler episode. And I must admit... even after several viewings of these episodes... I still not used to seeing Gibbs with a mustache.

NCIS: Season 4: Disc 2

5. DEAD AND UNBURIED
A missing Marine's body is found in a vacant home after he was deployed to Iraq but never showed up for duty.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. I liked the story quite a bit. Thought it was hilarious both McGee and Tony just stood there watching/ttaping the catfight. And I have to say I liked how Abbey saw art in that one picture McGee took that looked like a corpse sitting there in front of a TV like he just sat there and watched TV till he died.

My Rating:

6. WITCH HUNT
On Halloween night a Marine is attacked in his home and his daughter is kidnapped. Meanwhile, McGee and Tony are rendered speechless by Abby's Halloween costume.

My Thoughts:
Anyone that knows me... knows I loved this episode. I love anything to do with Halloween and Horror. Not only does this one have a good story... it has some pretty cool costumes. I especially loved our Goth forensic scientist Abbey dressed up as Marylin Monroe.

My Rating:

7. SANDBLAST
An explosion on a military golf course kills a Marine colonel and the NCIS team must work with the Army Criminal Investigative Unit to find the killer. Romance is in the air for both Gibbs and Tony.

My Thoughts:
This episode has a really good story. I really felt for the teent that was there when the colonel got caught in that explosion... and the effect it had on him. I thought it was a good scene between the teen and Tony.

My Rating:

8. ONCE A HERO
A former decorated Marine falls to his death at a hotel in Washington, D.C. The NCIS team works to clear the veteran's name after they discover suspicious activity surrounding his death.

My Thoughts:
I really felt this one was more of an average episode. I mean it was enjoyable... but nothing special about it. Felt more like a filler story to me then anything else.

NCIS: Season 4: Disc 3

9. TWISTED SISTER
McGee takes matters into his own hands after his teenage sister appears at his door bloodied and confused.

My Thoughts:
This one is a very good episode. One of my favorites. I liked getting to meet McGee's sister... and loved that she let the cat out of the bag about McGee's book.

My Rating:

10. SMOKED
Working in tandem with the FBI, the NCIS team makes a shocking discovery wehn they identify the remains of a serial killer.

My Thoughts:
This is another one I enjoyed quite a bit. Though not quite as much as the previous one. I did like how they put a little twist into the ending of this one.

My Rating:

11. DRIVEN
A highly classified robotic device is sabotaged and kills a Navy lieutenant who was working on an important project for the Department of Defense.

My Thoughts:
I enjoyed this one as well. Even though it is somewhat standard... it has some good moments.

My Rating:

12. SUSPICION
A high-level Marine intelligence officer is murdered in a small-town motel room. The NCIS team rushes to the scene of the crime only to discover the local authorities have disrupted the crime scene and performed an autopsy days earlier.

My Thoughts:
This one is alright... but it really didn't impress me too much. I did like the small town forensic scientist though. I would have liked to seen her come back for some more episodes. Unfortunately the rest of the episode was pretty standard... and somewhat slow.

NCIS: Season 4: Disc 4

13. SHARIF RETURNS
Gibbs and the NCIS team scramble to locate 10 kilograms of highly toxic chemical weapons only to discover that they're in the possession of wanted terrorist Mamoun Sharif.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. Along with Sharif, Colonel Mann is back. This episode keeps your attention throughout the entire episode. Entertaining from beginning to the end.

My Rating:

14. BLOWBACK
Ducky goes undercover as a buyer of illegal weapons. Jenny appears to have a personal vendetta against the arms dealer known as "La Grenouille."

My Thoughts:
This one is pretty good... but not a favorite. I really found it to be more on the slow side then anything else.

My Rating:

15. FRIENDS & LOVERS
The NCIS team believes that a sailor found in an abandoned building was the victim of a drug overdose until they discover an ominous message written in blood.

My Thoughts:
This is a good... but a pretty standard episode. Pretty much a filler episode. Though I do like how they used McGee's new found fame to help them with a case. And the storyline of Tony's girlfriend moves along further as well.

My Rating:

16. DEAD MAN WALKING
A Navy lieutenant, the victim of radiation poisoning, wants the NCIS team to solve a murder - his own.

My Thoughts:
This episode is very good... Even after seeing this episode 4 times before... I still found myself glued to the TV watching this one. It is one of my favorites. It shows a softer side of Ziva.

NCIS: Season 4: Disc 5

17. SKELETONS
An explosion at military cemetery mausoleum reveals several dismembered human remains. The team looks for potential serial killers, but Gibbs is surprised wth the final outcome.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode... though somewhat standard. Little bit more then a filler episode.

My Rating:

18. ICEMAN
A man supposedly frozen to death is about to be autopsied by Ducky, when he suddenly sits up - alive! As the NCIS team tries to figure out who left the man for dead, they discover there's a link to Gibbs' past.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. We get a visit from Mike Franks again in this one. I enjoy the story... went by quickly.

My Rating:

19. GRACE PERIOD
An anonymous call to the NCIS tip line about possible terrorist activity sends two agents into a trap and certain death.

My Thoughts:
A very good episode. One where we say goodbye to a recurring cast member. I really liked all about this one. I would definitely have to rate it as one of my favorites.

My Rating:

20. COVER STORY
With little information to go on, McGee is under serious pressure during the murder investigation of a Petty Officer.

My Thoughts:
Another excellent episode. I really enjoyed how they made this episode about Tim's new book. It made for a fun and entertaining episode.

NCIS: Season 4: Disc 6

21. BROTHERS IN ARMS
Director Shepard finds that meeting an informant alone can be murder. The NCIS team must gather all leads to hunt down the killer.

My Thoughts:
While this one has some good scenes... it was never one of my favorites. And you know... I really don't have a good reason for that. There really wasn't nothing bad about the episode. But I just didn't care for it too much.

My Rating:

22. IN THE DARK
The NCIS team taps into a blind photographer's special insight to investigate a crime.

My Thoughts:
This is a pretty good episode. I like the idea of a blind photographer and the story is interesting.

My Rating:

23. TROJAN HORSE
While Shepard is abroad, Gibbs is acting director, but he ignores his duties when a murdered man is found in a cab headed to the NCIS headquarters.

My Thoughts:
This is a fun episode. I liked how Gibbs acts about being left in charge of NCIS. That man just needs to stay in the field... running the entire agency is not his thing!

My Rating:

24. ANGEL OF DEATH
The deepest, darkest secrets of each NCIS team member are about to be revealed after they learn they have to take a Homeland Security polygraph test. Meanwhile, a ruthless drug dealer holds Tony and his girlfriend, Jeanne, hostage.

My Thoughts:
This is an enjoyable season finale... but not quite as good as some of the past seasons. It does end on a little bit of a cliffhanger... so I will be looking forward to starting season 5 before too long. Which will be the last season I have to review at this time.

NCIS: Season 5: Disc 1

1. BURY YOUR DEAD
The shocking truth to a major secret is revealed with an explosive and deadly conclusion in the final showdown between the NCIS team and an elusive arms dealer.

My Thoughts:
This is a great start to the fifth season. It makes you think we are about to lose one of our main characters again. I really enjoyed every minute of it. So much so that I instantly watched it a second time with the commentary on. The commentary is with Michael Weatherly (Tony) with... and this was a fun surprise... his mother.

My Rating:

2. FAMILY
A startling discovery in an autopsy of a murdered Petty Officer leads Ducky and the NCIS team to search for a missing child. Meanwhile,Tony's feelings for Jeanne become more pronounced.

My Thoughts:
This is kind of an average episode. The main storyline really felt no more then a filler episode. Though I did like the side story of how Tony is handling loosing his girlfriend.

My Rating:

3. EX-FILE
While Investigating the murder of a Marine captain, Gibbs comes face to face with his past when a witness in the case turns out to be his ex-wife.

My Thoughts:
Not a bad episode... but I have definitely seen better. We once again have Colonel Mann in this episode. Which is really fun since we also have one of Gibbs ex-wives.

My Rating:

4. IDENTITY CRISIS
The NCIS team uncovers a web of criminal intrigue after Ducky determines that an unidentified cadaver is a career felon with unmistakable ties to a criminal mastermind.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. But definitely just a standard filler episode. No long running storylines really worked on or anything like that.

5. LEAP OF FAITH
Suicide can be murder for the NCIS team. While attempting to talk a Naval officer from jumping to his death, Gibbs and his team discover a connection between the officer and a murder.

My Thoughts:
This is a good... but somewhat standard episode. We do meet a new recurring character in this episode. At least I don't remember seeing her before... and I have been watching a lot of NCIS lately.

My Rating:

6. CHIMERA
While investigating a mysterious death aboard a top-secret naval research ship, Gibbs and the NCIS team discover an abandoned ship in the middle of the sea and a killer secret that could cost them their lives.

My Thoughts:
While not really a Halloween episode. This episode which originally aired on October 30, 2007 was made to be a bit on the spooky side. Though not overly spooky. More like just an eerie feeling to it. It is a very good episode... one I enjoyed quite a bit.

My Rating:

7. REQUIEM
Gibbs finds himself at the center of an emotional journey into his past after he agrees to help the childhood friend of his late daughter. The soul-searching situation takes a deadly turn that leads to a shocking and heart-stopping conclusion.

My Thoughts:
This is an excellent episode. And I like how much we get to find out about Gibbs' past. Another one of my favorites!

My Rating:

8. DESIGNATED TARGET
The NCIS team meets an African political refugee searching for her husband while investigating the assassination of a Navy admiral.

My Thoughts:
This is one episode I never cared too much about. It is no more then a filler episode... plus the storyline never really grabbed me. Kinda boring storyline in my opinion.

9. LOST AND FOUND
A nine-year-old's father, wanted in connection with a cold case murder, goes missing. The NCIS team baby-sits the boy as the father leads them into the wilderness for a startling discovery about his past.

My Thoughts:
Another really good episode. I like how this show always portrays kids. And I really got a kick out of how they made this one like a young Tony DiNozzo. And how everyone seen it... except for Tony. The story itself was really good too.

My Rating:

10. CORPORAL PUNISHMENT
A violent, delusional Marine, believing he's still in Iraq, escapes from a hospital in the U.S. After a violent confrontation, the NCIS team realizes too late that the soldier is the subject of a secret experiment.

My Thoughts:
While I enjoy this one... it is not a favorite. This one just didn't keep my attention as much as most others have.

My Rating:

11. TRIBES
The investigation into the mysterious death of a Muslim Marine is delayed when Ducky refuses to autopsy the Marine because of the soldier's religious beliefs.

My Thoughts:
This one is really nothing more then an average episode. While it was intresting to see the diverse religous beliefs... the story itself left a bit to be desired.

My Rating:

12. STAKEOUT
The NCIS team sets up a stakeout to catch a suspected thief, but Instead they witness a murder. Uncharacteristically, Ducky keeps a secret from the others.

My Thoughts:
A good episode. The story keeps your interest... and there is some fun to be had. Especially liked how paranoid Ziva was on Tony getting even with her for the practical joke she pulled.

13. DOG TAGS
After a dog is accused of mauling its owner to death, Abby risks her career in order to prove the dog's innocence. Meanwhile, Jenny's secret captures Gibbs' attention.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. Abby really got attached to that dog! But hey... when she sets her mind to something she gets it done.

My Rating:

14. INTERNAL AFFAIRS
La Grenouille, a notorious arms dealer, is killed and the FBI puts the NCIS team under investigation for murder with Jenny Shepard as the prime suspect.

My Thoughts:
This is the best kind of clips episode. One that don't feel like a clips episode. The tie up story of the clips is so good you don't even think about the fact that you are seeing clips from previous episodes through out.

My Rating:

15. IN THE ZONE
A mortar attack in Baghdad becomes a murder crime scene when two members of the NCIS team are sent to investigate.

My Thoughts:
A decent... but no more then standard filler episode. Nothing here to get excited about.

My Rating:

16. RECOIL
Ziva's undercover assignment trailing a serial killer turns deadly when the man she's tracking becomes suspicious of her.

My Thoughts:

NCIS: Season 6: Disc 1

1. Last Agent Standing
While investigatiing the mysterious murder of a Navy Petty Officer, Gibbs uncovers the disturbing connection between the case and Director Vance's startling decision to break up his team.

My Thoughts:
This is a good start of the new season... though it is weird that in this episode the team is scattered. And there is a nice little twist at the end of the episode to show that the storyline is not at an end quite yet.

My Rating:

2. Agent Afloat
DiNozzo, stationed aboard the USS Seahawk, learns that what appears to be a Navy Lieutenant's apparent suicide on the aircraft carrier may be connected to a larger, more deadly plot.

My Thoughts:
Another episode I enjoyed. We finally got the whole team back together by the end of this episode. Now things can feel more back to normal.

My Rating:

3. Capitol Offense
The NCIS team gets involved in a high-level Washington scandal after a distinguished US Senator turns to Gibbs for help in solving the murder of a female Naval Officer he was having an affair with.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode... but not a favorite. I just didn't find the story as interesting as most. Though I did have to laugh at Abby using her forensics know-how to find out who took her cupcake out of the refrigerator.

My Rating:

4. Heartland
An investigation into the brutal slayings of two young Marines leads Gibbs back into his small Pennsylvania hometown, where secrets about his past threaten to come to light.

My Thoughts:
This is a very good episode. It is the first time we meet Gibbs' father. As well as a few other details of Gibbs' past. This one kept my interest very well.

NCIS: Season 6: Disc 2

5. Nine Lives
While leading the hunt for a Marine's brutal killer, Gibbs finds himself on a collision course with FBI Agent Fornell when the man Gibbs suspects of the crime turns out to be a federal witness.

My Thoughts:
This one is pretty good. A bit on the average side. But that may have something to do with that I never cared too much for the FBI Agent Fornell.

My Rating:

6. Murder 2.0
After a Navy Petty Officer is found murdered, Ducky's autopsy reveals that a deranged psychopath is taunting the NCIS team by leaving internet clues pointing to the identites of his next victims.

My Thoughts:
They mention in the first 3 minutes that it is Halloween. But if it wasn't for them mentioning it a couple of times within the episode you wouldn't have known it. There is nothing about the episode that makes you think of Halloween. But the episode itself is excellent. One of my favorites.

My Rating:

7. Collateral Damage
Vance assigns a new recruit to the NCIS team following the murder of a Qunatico bank security guard – which causes Gibbs to question his own judgement.

My Thoughts:
A good but somewhat average episode when it comes to the main case. I do like that Gibbs is now on the track of the real mole within NCIS.

My Rating:

8. Cloak
One member of NCIS is about to face serious consquences after Director Vance forces Gibbs and his team to participate in a dangerous war game – and a shocking secret is revealed.

My Thoughts:
An excellent episode that all but puts an end to the whole mole storyline. This one I enjoyed every second of.

9. Dagger
Gibbs and the team must rely on information from questionable sources when they're forced to stop a thief from stealing sensitive government secrets.

My Thoughts:
This is  great ending to the mole storyline. The way it ended was a bit of a surprise but an interesting one.

My Rating:

10. Road Kill
The team suspects foul play in the death of a petty officer when their investigation into his car crash leads them into the dark and violent world of underground street fighting.

My Thoughts:
Good episode. Enjoyed the main storyline... though not as much ad the previous few

My Rating:

11. Silent Night
Working on a double homicide over Christmas, the team uncovers the truth about a prime suspect thought to have died 17 years previously – as well as a shocking personal revelation.

My Thoughts:
This is a good Christmas episode. I definitely enjoyed it. I kinda go a kick out of the ending where Tony got most all the group together to watch a Christmas movie. It fit his character perfectly since he been quoting movies from the very beginning of the series.

My Rating:

12. Caged
While McGee is getting a signed confession from a vicious convict, retaliation over a murdered guard escalates into a full-scale prison riot – and McGee is taken hostage by the prisoners.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. Lots happening through-out. I especially liked how McGee learned something from his situation... and did not take any crap from the car repair shop at the end.

NCIS: Season 6: Disc 4

13. Broken Bird
While investigating the murder of a seaman, Ducky is stabbed at the crime scene, leading the team to uncover disturbing sccusations about his war service in Afghanistan.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode... centering around the character of Ducky. It is more an interesting episode then it is an action packed one. After the episode I went ahead and listened to the commentary with David McCallum (Ducky) and James Whitmore, Jr. There really wasn't anything special about the commentary... but not a bad listen.

My Rating:

14. Love & War
The heinous murder of a Naval Captain seems to point to espionage, until a damning clue causes the team to question whether or not the officer's bizarre lifestyle is to blame.

My Thoughts:
Not a bad episode... but really kinda average. Nothing at all special or extra good about it.

My Rating:

15. Deliverance
Probing into the death of a Marine, the NCIS team gets involved with a vicious inner city gang, while Gibbs again must face his past after discovering a disturbing message at the crime scene.

My Thoughts:
A pretty good one here. Gibb's old mentor Franks is in this episode.

My Rating:

16. Bounce
When DiNozzo learns he's been responsible for sending an innocent man to jail, Gibbs agrees to trade duties with Tony and make him point man on the re-opened investigation.

My Thoughts:
This is another episode I liked. It is a good episode for the character of Tony DiNozzo. After watching the episode I watched it again with the commentary track on. This one is with Michael Weatherly who plays DiNozzo. Which is an entertaining listen. He does seem like a lot of fun.

Pauley Perrette (Abby) from NCIS has been in Australia for the past couple of weeks. This is turning out to be quite a huge stay here, I never realised just how popular she was in this country. She has been appearing on morning shows, talk shows etc heaps in this last few weeks and I'm pretty sure us Australians just want to keep her . It has been a very long time since I have seen just one guest do almost every single Australian TV show in a row.

Yesterday I was doing the cast list for that TV Series I bought Haunted... and was pleasantly surprised to see her name come up for the second episode of the series. :) Now other then 6 seasons of NCIS I have her in...

- 24: Season 4 (2 episodes)
- Batman Beyond: Season 1 (1 episode - Voice role of course)
- CSI: Season 3 (1 Episode)
- Haunted: Complete Series (1 episode)
- The Ring (Don't remember her in this movie... though it has been a while... but may be only a small part)

Very cool, I would love to track down some of her stuff and see how she is as an actor when she isn't playing Abbey (not that I don't love Abbey of course).

NCIS: Season 6: Disc 5

17. SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST
Following the murder of a fellow agent, Gibbs and DiNozzo head to Arizona desert country searching for a female artist who was one of the last people the agent contacted before his death.

My Thoughts:
This is a really fun episode. Lots of laughs and some very cool action sequences.I think the funniest thing about this episode had to be DiNozzo on a horse.

My Rating:

18. KNOCKOUT
When a Chicago boxing trainer is found murdered, Director Vance heads up the investigation into his good friend's death, causing Gibbs to probe into Vance's past.

My Thoughts:
Not a bad episode.... but really no more then average. I couldn't get myself to care about the characters much.

My Rating:

19. HIDE AND SEEK
After a young boy turns in a handgun used in a murder near the Norfolk Naval Base, his entire family comes under scrutiny as the team seeks to determined who used the weapon last.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. I really got a kick on how DiNozzo interacted with the teen boys.

My Rating:

20. DEAD RECKONING
Gibbs reluctantly agrees to join forces with a shady CIA agent, who asks the team to help in a double murder investigation with potential international criminal ties.

My Thoughts:
Another episode that I found just ok. Once again didn't care for the characters and the storyline was just OK.

My Rating:

21. TOXIC
Abby joins the staff of a classified Army research project after a lead scientist goes missing, and soon suspects that nothing with the covert experiment is what it seems.

My Thoughts:
This is a very good episode. I liked it a lot! It is a big Abbey episode... and as I have said a few times before... Abby is my favorite character. It is a very interesting episode. After watching the episode I couldn't help myself but to watch it again... this time with the commentary track running. The commentary is with Pauley Perette (Abby) and Sean McMurry (McGee). And it is a fun listen with those two.

NCIS: Season 6: Disc 6

22. LEGEND (PART 1)
Gibbs and his Washington team goes to LA to join forces with their West Coast counterparts, and soon learn the murderer they're investigating is a small part of a much larger crime.

My Thoughts:
This is a good start to the 2-part episode that started the spin-off series NCIS: LA. And it is a good thing they made this one a 2 part episode as there is a lot happening.

My Rating:

23. LEGEND (PART 2)
Dinozzo confronts Ziva about her loyalty to the team when a Massad agent unexpectedly shows up in Washington, while Gibbs and McGee are still away in Los Angeles hunting down a terrorist cell.

My Thoughts:
This is a good conclusion to the 2 part episode in LA. Other then the main case being taken care of... there is a good designed to make you want to watch the spin-off series.

My Rating:

24. SEMPER FIDELIS
Gibbs and the team are forced to work with ICE and FBI agents following a fatal security breach at Secnav's residence; meanwhile, DiNozzo finally comes face-to-face with elusive foe Michael Rivkin.

My Thoughts:
This is a very good story! Very interesting... even though I have seen this once before I was still glued to my seat for it. And it really sets up for the final episode of the season.

My Rating:

25. ALIYAH
In the sixth season's powerful finale, Ziva has an unhappy reunion with her father, the enigmatic head of the Massad, after the team travels to Isreal for a final showdown with Rivkin.

My Thoughts:
An absolutely excellent episode. The story is exciting through-out... and the very ending is just amazing... making you not want to wait for the next season to start! It really is a fantastic ending to the season!

Season 6 Over All Thoughts
While there was a nice little handful of just average episode... over all I felt this season is pretty strong. There was no episode the entire season that was less then average.

There is also a nice selection of extras added to this set. I really enjoyed the commentaries with the cast (never was much for crew commentaries so never even listened to those)...I especially liked the featurette of the cast sitting together just talking about the 6th season.
