Title: The Movies from Within My Lifetime: 2012 Edition
Post by: addicted2dvd on December 29, 2011, 10:39:20 AM
The Movies from Within My Lifetime
2012 Edition
This is the thread where I will be writing all my reviews. I personally prefer going in chronological order... so that is what I will most likely be doing again this year. As I get to each year I will list the movies I own to show what I have to choose from. I will put the titles I never seen before in BOLD. So you can make recommendations for that year if you want. I won't guarantee it will be the title I watch as mood for the movie has a lot to do with it too. And you may need to be fairly fast with your recommendations as well... as there is times I will watch 2 or 3 movies back to back. But I will try to remember to let you know when I already have a title in mind to watch for that year. So it is time to start the fun....

1969
Titles in BOLD are movies I never seen.
- Attack of the Monsters
- Blood of Dracula's Castle
- Destroy All Planets
- Dracula vs. Frankenstein
- Easy Rider
- Nightmare in Wax
- Over the Hill Gang
- Topaz
- True Grit
- The Wild Bunch

Not sure what I will watch for 1969... but whatever it is has to be better the last year's choice of Blood of Dracula's Castle!

My Thoughts:
I been a bit curios about this title... heard a lot of good things about it over the years... so thought it was about time to check it out. According to IMDB this was  released in the US in July of '69. So I was about 2 months old at the time. So needless to say this movie is not one that portrays a time that I am really familiar with. While I did find it to be an interesting piece... it seemed more slow to me then anything else. I mean not so bad that it made it hard to watch. But it seemed like I was waiting forever for something to start happening. About an hour into it I realized this is not that type of movie... and stopped waiting for anything big to happen. And then the final moments of the movie hit... and I was like... huh? Where did that come from? This isn't a film I could see myself watch often... but I could see myself watching it again.

1970
Titles in BOLD are movies I never seen.
- Black Brigade
- Bloodthirsty Butchers
- Cry Blood Apache
- The Dunwich Horror
- An Evening with Edgar Allen Poe
- Flesh Feast
- How Awful About Allen
- Love Story
- M*A*S*H
- Beneath the Planet of the Apes
- Rio Lobo

Last year for this marathon I watched Love Story... which I gave a 3 star rating to. Hopefully this year's title will be a little better to me. But really don't have any idea what I am in the mood to see out of the above list.

Being much older than you Pete  :P Easy Rider was a film that resonated much more for me. It really illustrates a small piece of reality about those times.

Rio Lobo, Pete.  I would think you will enjoy it a great deal. Howard Hawks made Rio Bravo, remade it himself as Eldorado and then remade it again as Rio Lobo! By this point the story had changed a lot more, but why did he keep remaking it? To recapture that wonderful Rio Bravo camaraderie, and he doesn't fail.

All this time has passed... and I just can't get in the mood for any of the movies I have from 1970. So I finally decided to do this year's out of order... or I may never get this year done and over with.  :bag:

My Thoughts:
I went into this movie with rather low expectations. For one reason I never been much of a fan of Dane Cook. Though I did enjoy Good Luck Chuck quite a bit. Then there is Jessica Simpson. I have nothing against her... but I only seen her in a couple things before this so pretty unfamiliar with her. Though I never cared much for her looks... as I never was much for the blonde "barbie doll" type girls. So just looking at her don't impress me all that much. But I have had this odd curiosity about this movie since the first time I ever saw the trailer for it. So I was pretty happy when I got this one in the last box of free DVDs that was given to me. Surprisingly I enjoyed this one more then I thought I would. There was a good handful of laugh out loud moments... especially in the beginning. And even Dane Cook didn't bother me in this movie. I couldn't... and still can't see all the fuss over Jessica Simpson. But she did a pretty good job in this one. I kept going back and forth on how I wanted to rate this one... In the end it was enough fun to just barely get a 4 star rating, IMO.

My Thoughts:
I went into this movie knowing very little about it. But I have heard good things about it. Going by Tom's Review (http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,626.msg112663.html#msg112663) here on this site... it is probably the closest thing I have ever seen to a Bollywood movie. After watching it I have found I enjoyed this one quite a bit. I really liked the characters... and the storyline kept my interest through-out. Though I have to admit that with some of their accents and the speed they were talking I did have a little bit of a hard time understanding some of the dialog. But over-all I enjoyed every minute of this one.

My Thoughts:
I decided to watch this today off of a recommendation of our friend Kathy. The first thing I did was watch the trailer for the movie. This had me fairly psyched because I have enjoyed such movies as this that were set in the past... a reminder of a simpler time. But the trailer had me a little worried that it would be more of a chick flick type. But I got to say... I really enjoyed every minute of it. Easily the best movie I watched so far today! It has an all-star cast of great actresses... as well as a story you just get lost in. It has a roller coaster of emotions. One minute you are laughing out loud at it... the next you are in a thrilling moment that the actually worry about the for one of the characters... and then the next it is tugging at your heart strings. It really surprised me how much I enjoyed this movie... so I must thank Kathy for the very entertaining suggestion!

I actually recommended Never Again but I'll take compliments and thanks any way I can get them.  :P

I had sent this movie to someone thinking it was Pete. I ended up buying it again because I wanted to re-watch it...I hope that doesn't happen with all the other DVDs I'm giving away.

My Thoughts:
After reading several favorable reviews I was happy to see this one in one of the boxes of free DVDs I recently got. While I did enjoy it... I was hoping for a little more then what was delivered. The movie is listed in DVD Profiler as a comedy. And while I wouldn't say this is wrong... it just wasn't the type of comedy I was expecting. It definitely isn't the laugh out loud type of comedy. More... actually I don't know what I would call it. I did however think that Ellen Page was great in this movie. While I have liked Jennifer Garner since first seeing her in Alias... I wasn't all that impressed with her in this movie. I don't know... maybe it was just the character she had to work with... but I was a bit disappointed in her this time. Over-all it is a good story that kept my interest through-out.

Between exploding tractors and deadly hunting accidents, it's a wonder the top challenger, poor Amber Atkins (Kirsten Dunst, Interview With the Vampire) has the courage to keep her tap shoes on. But after Amber's mother, (Ellen Barkin, Sea of Love) is injured in a suspicious trailer-park-beauty-shop bombing, Amber is determined to fight to the finish – and the battle between the good and the bad – is about to get ugly! Experience plenty of mom, apple pie and all-American mayhem, plus a hit-packed soundtrack in this break-through comedy that is "clever, fearless and loaded with wicked lines and touches" (Los Angeles Times).

Extras:

My Thoughts:
While looking for something to watch today I watched the trailer for this movie... looked silly but good to me so decided to pop it in. While it was fine to start with... it was a little too silly and over the top for more then an hour and a half straight. I basically found myself just waiting for it to be over. Sure there is some big names and a few pretty girls... and maybe a laugh  or two here and there... but really offers nothing more then that. So I am really not impressed with this one.  It is one of the DVDs that was given to me recently... and I thank the person that gave it to me... but at the same time... I am glad I didn't pay for this one.

Jeff Anderson as Randal
Marilyn Ghigliotti as Veronica
Lisa Spoonhauer as Caitlin
Jason Mewes as Jay
Kevin Smith as Silent Bob

Plot:
If you're in the market for what The Detroit News called "a lively comic adventure," Clerks delivers with wholesale hilarity! It's one wild day in the life of a pair of overworked counter-jockeys whose razor-sharp wit and on-the-job antics give a whole new meaning to customer service! Even while braving a nonstop parade of unpredictable shoppers, the clerks manage to play hockey on the roof, visit a funeral home, and straighten out their offbeat love lives. The boss is nowhere in sight, so you can bet anything can — and will — happen when these guys are left to run the store!

Extras:

My Thoughts:
This is a movie several people told me was good and that I need to see it. So I was thrilled when it showed up in a recent box of DVDs that was given to me. I recently watched a couple episodes of Kevin Smith's TV Series Comic Book Men... and that reminded me that I had this movie to watch. I went into this one hoping I didn't have my expectations up too high. The first thing I noticed... that I didn't realize till now is that this movie was filmed in Black and White. I found this to just be a fun movie. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have been both a convenient store and a video store clerk at some point in my life.... but I was able to relate to some of the things these clerks were saying... and I just got a kick out of some of the over the top  situations. I am glad I finally got around to checking this one out. I especially got a kick out of Randal's rant on Return of the Jedi and when he was ordering porn titles for the video store. After seeing this movie I need to see if I can get my hands on Clerks II.

My Thoughts:
This morning I found myself in the mood for some Superman movies. This movie... with Christopher Reeve in the starring role... was how I grew up knowing Superman to be. At the time I was more used to seeing him in the role more so then George Reeves. I believe this came from a time that I did not like to watch anything that was in Black and White.... yes... I was one of those people at one time. But I have sense learned there is a lot of great entertainment out there in Black and white... and now have all the George Reeves Superman episodes... including the early Black and White ones. But I think... to me at least... when I think Superman... I still picture Christopher Reeve.

My favorite scene in this movie... one that makes me laugh even to this day... has to be the scene when Superman is seen for the very first time. Especially when he flies up the side of the building to catch Lois Lane... saying "Don't Worry Miss, I got you."... and she comes back with... "You got me... Who's got you!!!"... I don't know what it is about it... but I love that line.

I know there is some that don't like how Christopher Reeve portrayed Clark Kent. But you know... while I understand that point of view... I find it very entertaining and fun to watch. I also felt it added to the whole Clark Kent can't be Superman... even more so then the glasses for a costume. I have to say... I think I like the entire cast for these movies. Especially Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor and of course there is Marlon Brando as Jor-El.

Also I have to say I liked how they had some nodes to past incarnations of Superman when they showed a young Lois Lane riding the train with her parents early in the movie. They had Noel Neil as her mother... who was of course Lois Lane in Adventures of Superman and Kirk Alyn as her father... who was of course Clark Kent/Superman in the old movie serials.

I know there is some that don't like how Christopher Reeve portrayed Clark Kent.

The only time people make that complaint is when they don't realise the different perspective this version of Superman comes from. They've played with it a lot in the comics.

Most superheroes are presented as normal guys who pretend to be an alter-ego. Spider-Man is Peter Parker's disguise; Batman is really Bruce Wayne. Superman is different, because that's who he is. Clark is the disguise, not the other way around.

That said New Adventures did present him somewhat the other way, so Clark was the real identity. And the comics have gone a step further. When they killed him off, they brought him back with the idea that Superman forgot he couldn't die and it was Clark who thought he was mortal and allowed it to happen...

Jor-El (Marlon Brando in recently found footage) appears in key new scenes that amplify Superman lore and deepen the relationship between father and son. Lois Lane (Margot Kidder) plots more schemes to unmask Clark Kent as Superman. With so many changes, large and small, this version is an eye-opening alternate experience.

Extras:

My Thoughts:
Decided to watch Superman II today. Since I only ever seen the Richard Donner cut one time before... I decided I would watch this version again. I enjoyed it just as much this time as I did the first time I watched it. This version corrects most of the problems I had with the theatrical release. All those strange new powers that you never seen before in anything related to Superman is gone from this one. They still have Superman give up his powers... which is a portion of the movie I don't particularly care for as I find those scenes a little too slow. But I understand they are needed for the story they were telling. And I found I enjoyed the story better in this version. This version I would say is right up there with the first movie.

Knowing I don't have a movie yet for 2012 to watch in this thread... A good friend of mine is sending me...

(http://www.invelos.com/mpimages/88/883929177325f.jpg) (http://www.invelos.com/images/DVDLogo.png)Justice League: Doom
When Vandal Savage discovers Batman's secret contingency plan to defeat the Justice League should any of them go rogue, he steals it, forms his own army of supervillains, and begins taking out the Justice League one by one.

She said she knows I needed something for 2012 and knew I like the animated superhero movies... so she is sending this over to me. How cool is that?  I am not sure yet if it will be the single disc movie only release or the two disc special edition. I will let you know when I find out! :)

My Thoughts:
I am sure you all are not surprised... but I just couldn't wait to watch this movie. I have always enjoyed the superhero animated movies. And this one is no different. I enjoyed every moment of this story. I especially enjoyed that this story has the Legion of Doom in it... as that is something I enjoyed every Saturday morning as a kid while watching the Super Friends. So I liked having a sort of nod towards that. This story did confuse me a little about Wonder Woman. It was like they couldn't decide if they wanted the version that could fly or not. In one scene they had her in her invisible plane and using a line to pull her up to the hovering invisible plane. Yet in another scene they had her flying. So I do wish they would have went one way or another with that. But that is ok... it didn't take away much from the story for me. For this being a 2-Disc Special Edition, there really isn't all that many extras offered here. Though they do have a nice 36min featurette on the late Dwyane McDuffie. There is also 2 episodes of Justice League... but that isn't a very big deal... especially if you already have the series in your collection. But either way... this is a good animated movie that I am happy I have in my collection!

My Thoughts:
This is the second movie I watched today... and it is the second movie I found to be a bit on the strange side. Though I did like this one a little more then the previous (Bug). At least it was definitely easier to understand what was going on at all times. The twins' (brother and sister) relationship is what I found to be so weird. This movie is little more then a strange story with a bunch of old film clips and lots of sex/nudity (both female and male nudity). It isn't that it is a bad film... just as I said... strange. I must say though. I was captivated by the female twin played by Eva Green... she is gorgeous.

My Thoughts:
This is a movie my brother rented from Netflix... and I wanted to check it out as I always enjoyed the original. It has been a while since I watched the original... so it is hard comparing this remake to it... but going by my memory... I definitely prefer the original. I am not saying I didn't like this one... it isn't a bad film. But I don't think it is as good as the original. I think they could have worked a little more on the storyline and they could have definitely done better then some of the cheesy, fake looking effects. Sure the original was rather cheesy and fake looking... but I think there should have been more care taken with the remake. Maybe it was the times that the original came out ('80s) or maybe it is just the fact that I grew up watching it this way... so I am more forgiving with the original... but the remake... with the capabilities out there today... I just can't be as forgiving. But either way... it is an entertaining flick. I wouldn't mind adding it to my collection at some point. But I would want to get it cheap.

My Thoughts:
This is a movie I got cheap off of Amazon Marketplace. I only spent a dollar on it. Thankfully I didn't waste too much money... because I had a very hard time to just sit through this movie. It wasn't too long in I found myself doing other things... with the movie mainly playing in the background. This is a very low budget movie... acting needs help (though I have seen worse)... effects are basically non-existent... and the story itself is just plain strange. Don't bother wasting your time and money on this one!

I got this movie in the Horror Classics: 100 Movie Pack... so I wasn't expecting to much quality wise before I even popped the disc in. While the picture was a little on the soft side... and it is in full frame 1.33:1 (is this OAR?... doubt it.)... the picture wasn't bad at all. Sound was good too. This is the American version/cut of the movie Phenomena. So the first thing I want to know... is this version cut? Is there any difference other then (I would guess) the language? In other words... do I need to seek out Phenomena? Because I enjoyed it quite a bit.. definitely more then I expected to. Reading the overview I wasn't expecting much... but it really drew me into the story. So it has me curios about the differences between this release and the one entitled Phenomena.

OAR is 1.66:1. Cuts wise, there is the integral version (115 mins), Director's version (109 mins) and a director approved shortened edit - sometimes refered to as the R-Rated version (82 mins).

These are the differences between the shotened edit and the integral version - http://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=687204

Can't say what is cut but I've the uncut original version and the running time is 1h50. So an awfull lot of things are certainly missing...

The complete version released a couple of years ago by Anchor Bay isn't too costly (http://www.amazon.com/Phenomena-Special-Edition-Fiore-Argento/dp/B0015D3YQI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1332708771&sr=8-1). Be cautious if you take the marketplace road, sometimes the sellers ship the wrong version of a movie.

My Thoughts:
Part of a Children of the Corn triple feature set I bought for this past Halloween marathon... unfortunately I never got around to watching it back in October. I haven't seen this movie since it was originally released... wow, that was 20 years ago!?! So needless to say... watching it today was like watching it again for the first time. At first I was considering watching the first movie before this one... but I seen it not that long ago... and seen it several times... so didn't feel the need. After watching I felt it was pretty good. I didn't care for it as much as I did the first one... but it was still worth watching. Yes... this one does have a bit of blood in it as well... but the first movie was more graphic. Over-all I would say it is worth the hour and a half you put in to watch it. Unfortunately there is no extras what so ever on this release.

I really enjoyed Anaconda when I saw it... so was looking forward to this one when I found out a friend was giving me a copy. The first thing I notice is this movie stars Kadee Strickland. I am familiar with her as she is in the main cast of the medical drama Private Practice playing Dr. Charlotte King. I have to say I enjoyed this one over-all. Stars:
Michael Moriarty as Joe Weber
Ricky Addison Reed as Jeremy Weber
Samuel Fuller as Van Meer
Andrew Duggan as Judge Axel
Evelyn Keyes as Mrs. Axel
Jill Gatsby as Sherry

Plot:
In a certain New England town, it's hard to keep the undead down. It's shocking story continues courtesy of Larry Cohen, a maestro of cinematic horror (the It's Alive trilogy) and writer of police-action thrillers (Best Seller, Maniac Cop), tapping into his senses of the macabre as well as satire in a clever chiller based on characters created by Stephen King. Joining in to bedevil and terrify are Michael Moriarty as an anthropologist asked to write a "bible" for the town's ghastly group, Andrew Duggan as the leader of the townfolk (including June Havoc and Evelyn Keyes) who hide their blood-feasting bent behind sweet exteriors and filmmaker Samuel Fuller in a rare on-screen role as a vampire hunter. For mortals who occasionally like to go to the devil – and come back – A Return to Salem's Lot is one terrific terror trip.

Extras:

My Thoughts:
OK... I haven't seen this movie since I was a teen. I have to say... it wasn't as good as I remember it being. I mean I still enjoyed it in a cheesy fun sort of way. But it don't hold up compared to Salem's Lot. But I am sure it is also partially because of my taste in movies maturing... as I did find some of the scenes silly now. But for the most part... still enjoy it... glad I have it in my collection.

My Thoughts:
Oh well... what to say about this one. It is not a good movie... though it does have a it's moments here and there with the snake attacks and such. David Hasselhoff is just plain laughable in this movie. I did like Crystal Allen though. Just not sure if that is because she is good or that everyone else in this movie is so bad it made her look better then she actually is. The story itself just didn't keep my interest... I found myself doing other things while pretty much just having this on in the background. Basically ending up just paying any attention to the scenes with the snake. But even with that being said... I find myself with the urge to get part 4 in my next DVD order... how weird is that?

Stars:
Flex Alexander as Anthony
A. J. Cook as Jenny
David Denman as Lance
Caroline Dhavernas as Anna
Derek Hamilton as Pig Pen
Zach Galifianakis as Luke

Plot:
This wild comedy is an intoxicating mix of mountain-high hilarity and radical winter sports action! For snowboarders Rick (Jason London – Dazed And Confused), Luke (Zach Galifianakis – Bubble Boy) and their buddies, life at the Bull Mountain ski area is about partying hard, looking for girls and doing anything for a good time! But when the town's founder dies, his son decides to sell the mountain to a sleazy developer (Lee Majors – TV's Six Million Dollar Man) who's intent on turning Bull Mountain into a slick yuppie ski resort! Featuring outrageous stunts by real-life snowboarding champions like Todd Richards, Rio Tahara, Tara Dakides, Devun Walsh and Rob "Sluggo" Boyce – and a red-hot soundtrack – it's an avalanche of laughs as the guys do whatever it takes to save their mountain!

Extras:

My Thoughts:
This is really no more then an average comedy. There isn't too much here you haven't seen many times over. Though I did get a kick out of the "King of the Mountain" competition. Where snowboarders started on the top of the mountain... with a mug of beer in their hand. Then went down the mountain... holding the mug of beer. Whoever had the most beer left in their mug at the bottom of the mountain wins. This film does have a lot of familiar faces that I know from various TV Shows. A. J. Cook and Zach Galifianakis were both in Tru Calling. Caroline Dhavernas was in Wonderfalls and Off the Map. And then of course there was Lee Majors who was the Six Million Dollar Man. Even with these well known actors... the acting left plenty to be desired. But there is enough fun here to keep you entertained through-out the entire movie. Just not something I see myself re-watching often.

My Thoughts:
This is a movie I got in the Horror Classics: 100 Movie Pack that I got cheap from Mill Creek Entertainment. Unfortunately... but not unexpected... the quality leaves a bit to be desired. The image seemed to have a slight blur to it... and there was a slight hissing to the audio in some scenes. I wasn't too thrilled with the movie itself either. I found my attention drifting away from the movie. Ending up doing other things while the movie played in the background. But while I didn't get much out of the movie itself... I did find I liked the ending quite a bit. I just wish that the movie up till that point was better then what it is.

My Thoughts:
This is a 2010 Lifetime TV Movie... one that spawned a series also starring the lovely Jennifer Love Hewitt. I have been watching the series since it started... but I never seen this movie till now. This movie is apparently based off a true story. I enjoyed the movie quite a bit.... but I definitely prefer the series. Of course Jennifer Love Hewitt looks fabulous... but her character is much more likable in the series then she is in the movie. While a couple of the cast members remained the same from the movie to the series... the majority of them changed. There was other changes in the series as well. But as I said... I personally prefer the series... though that could be because it is what I saw first.

Plot:
It's newborn. It's Alive (Disc 1). And murder is what it knows best! A proud couple's bundle of joy is really a newborn terror in filmmaker Larry Cohen's cautionary cult hit that tapped into environmental fears. The horror grows when multiple child monsters rampage in It's Lives Again (Disc 2/Side A) – and as two brave parents try to stop them by becoming the bait for their spree. The now global terrors are rounded up and relocated to a far-flung island (but not for long!) in It's Alive III: Island of the Alive (Disc 2/Side B). Will a parent's greatest nightmare become the world's greatest fear? Find out...if you dare.

Extras:

My Thoughts:
The first movie in the It's Alive box set (3 movies on 2 Discs)... This is a film I haven't seen since I was a kid. Which going into it worried me a little. I remember enjoying it back then... so my expectations were up a little. But at the same time I was worried it wouldn't hold up to my memory. While I remembered it to be better then what it was... I still enjoyed this one quite a bit. It is a little slow in spots, but not so much so that it takes away from the enjoyment of the storyline. I enjoyed watching the style this one is in... seldomly getting only slight looks at the mutated infant. Making you use your imagination more then you do for films now a day. If you never seen this movie... I recommend checking it out.

My Thoughts:
This is an Anthology Horror movie I never heard of before. It was suggested to me by a couple friends that said I HAD to see it. Though it is a little different then most anthology horrors I have seen. There is only 2 stories in this one... which I am used to seeing at least 3 in most of the others. Plus there is no wrap-around story to this one. The first story, The Facts In The Case of Mr. Valdemar, has a bit of a slow start. I still enjoyed every minute of it, so this didn't hurt it much at all. I also enjoyed the second story, The Black Cat. This one can be a little on the weird side at times. I was happy to see a favorite actress of mine, Julie Benz (Dexter), has a small part in it. She is young in this movie. So young in fact I almost didn't recognize her. She looked to be in her mid-teens here. Harvey Keitel stars in this second story... and I think he did a great job. I am thrilled I finally got to see this film. Over-all I enjoyed it very much. This special edition DVD has a nice selection of extras. Most of which is on a bonus disc. I only glanced at these extras so far... but they look pretty solid. This is one I feel comfortable recommending.

My Thoughts:
I remember seeing this movie years ago when it first came out on VHS. I remember enjoying it back then... but I haven't watched it since. This DVD was in a box full of DVDs that was given to me a couple years back... and I am just now getting the chance to watch it again. This one held up well for me over the years. I still found I enjoyed the movie quite a bit. Unfortunately shortly into the movie I remembered the ending... who the murderer was... even after all these years. But that's ok...it don't take away from the enjoyment. Recommended... if you never seen it.... check it out.

Extras:

My Thoughts:
This is part of a box set that contains the first 4 movies in the series. It is a fun movie. There is a lot of laugh out loud moments. Though I must admit that I remember it being a little better then what it actually is. While I did laugh at most of the jokes... some of them did fail. Rodney the guinea pig was a lot of fun. And I liked the drunk monkey. I felt the main storyline with the tiger was good... but think it could have been a little better... as my attention did drift a little here and there. But over-all it is one I would recommend for some family fun. Being the first movie in the set I am surprised at how little extras is added. I would definitely liked to of seen a few more things added.

Plot:
Paul Hogan's hilarious, endearing performance made "Crocodile" Dundee™ the biggest box-office comedy smash of 1986! Michael J. "Crocodile" Dundee (Hogan) is a free-spirited Australian who hunts crocodiles with his bare hands, stares down giant water buffaloes, and drinks mere mortals under the table. But he's about to face the ultimate torture test - a trip to New York City. Beautiful and tenacious reporter Sue Charlton (Linda Kozlowski) gets more than just a story as the "wonder from Down Under" rocks the Big Apple to its core.

Extras:

My Thoughts:
This is another good comedy that I haven't seen in a very long time. There is many laugh out loud moments here... though I must admit it really don't take off until Mick gets to New York. I mean it is still good before that point... but at least for me... the real comedy is seeing Mick out of his element in the big city. It is definitely another one I would recommend. Though I would have liked to have seen a few extras with it.
