The main drawback to watching this type of series for this type of marathon is the fact that after watching the pilot episode you really don't want to stop.
I also own The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. but have only seen the pilot and I think the first hour-long episode so far. I need to get back to it soon.I have hd this on my unwatched pile for way too long and should be getting to it soon (December...?) as well.

oops thats embarrassing
I never really like Batman Beyond or Batman of the Future as it was called over here, I always found myself going back to The Adventures of Batman ;p
Yup I saw you picked it up... but lucky you got a complete series set... I only got a Season 1 set.
Ironically enough, earlier today I happened to look up the Birds of Prey set at Amazon.com to see if it had come down in price again and it's nearly about what it's been...around $27 or so, if I recall correctly. I'm waiting for that magical $20 price sticker to appear ;D

Cliff's discussion with Theo in this pilot is a great TV moment. The scene where Cliff shows Theo with game money that being a "regular" guy is not much fun. After which Theo tells his father, that he should love him like he is, because he is his son, and not be disappointed in him with not being successful in school. The studio audiences applauds this typical family sitcom speech, but is interupted with Cliff's "That is the dumbest thing that I have ever heard" comeback. And the audience goes wild

Downside... Every time I watch this show I get that damn theme song stuck in my head for a long time after. And that is just pure torture to me! :surrender::devil: :hysterical:
DexterHow far have you seen the series? Personally I thought it shined the most during Season 2. I then originally wondered just how they wanted to make a third season still to be interesting and then had to admit they mostly pulled it off. I am now equally excited for season 4.

My Rating:
Wow, due to my absences I have missed several of these reviews. I do have some some of these myself, notably dharma & greg and The Dick Van Dyke Show. Surprisingly enough, though I like country music, I never really got into The Dukes of Hazzard...I only watched one episode (due to Loretta Lynn as a guest-star). This reminds me that I started my own pilot marathon but I only have managed one entry so far so I need to get back to my own soon. :P
Surprisingly I only have the first season in my collection so far. I will have to look into getting more seasons before too long.

Thanks for making me look up if the fifth and final season is available yet. I must have missed its release. Strange as it was released shortly after season 4. I am scratching my head right now how I could have missed this. I should have been notified by TVShowsOnDVD.com at the time and it also should have been up for pre-ordering at the same time as season 4.
Glad to help... and cost you some more money! :tease:And not just because of Ellen, but I of course could not help myself and order some other stuff from my wishlist :bag:
If they are that cheap I will have to get at least season 2 when I get paid again.

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Who would want this anyway? It airs on cable TV about 50 times a week!
Who watches TV anyway? :PAre there new rules in germany now, can you not pay the GEZ fee (what we pay in Germany for free TV... :stars:) somehow when not using the TV for broadcasts?
I even disconnected my satellite receiver because I didn't use at all anymore.

I will never pay for TV - that is what the commercials are for and putting up with them is payment enough.Kathy you pay already for the television. PBS is found by the the federal governement no?
I'm with Karsten. I will never pay for TV - that is what the commercials are for and putting up with them is payment enough. If fees become mandatory, I will give it up completely...I have lots of DVDs and books!
Since watching the pilot episode of Grey's Anatomy I just couldn't help myself.... I have now watched the entire first season! (Granted that is only 9 episodes)
Since there is only the rest of the day today and tomorrow before my weekend movie marathon... I just may continue watching this show as I still haven't had enough. :P

I am thankful that the DVD has a feature called The Ozzy Translator. This is where we get subtitles only for the things Ozzy says... as that man just can not be understood half the time.

Headlined by a young, sexy cast, including Neve Campbell, Scott Wolf, and Lacey Chabert, this highly rated, long-running series (1994-2000) firmly found its place as a pop culture phenomenon for all ages. Shot through with equal doses heartache and laugher, PARTY OF FIVE: COMPLETE FIRST SEASON remains an emotional knockout, delivering 22 episodes of the Golden Globe-winning (Best TV Seris, Drama, 1996) series breakthrough debut season, proving again that home is where the heart is. |

Sheriff Jimmy Brock has seen it all. Indeed, behind the tidy picket fences of this quirky little town lie all the same problems and prejudices found in the big city, except in a small town everyone seems to know everyone else's business -- or thinks they do! |
