Title: Tom's TV Finales marathon
Post by: Tom on November 16, 2012, 10:47:20 PM
TV Finales marathon

After having concluded my TV pilots marathon I thought I'd give a finales marathon a go.
I will only watch finales which I have either seen before, or if I think watching it will not spoil me the rest of the series.

Plot:
So we bid farewell to a true sitcom classic. 3rd Rock's brilliant ensemble cast has made it one of television's most unique, original and outragious sitcoms hailed by critics, adored by fans and honoured with Emmy Awards. Presentend here are all 20 episodes of the final season containing some of 3rd Rock's most memorable episodes and featuring guests slots by the likes of John Cleese and Elvis Costello.

3rd Rock From the Sun
Season 6.19 The Thing That Wouldn't Die (Part I)
Writer: Dave Jeser (Screenwriter), Matt Silverstein (Screenwriter), Dave Lewman (Original Material By), Joe Liss (Original Material By)
Director: Terry Hughes
Cast: John Lithgow (Dick Solomon), Kristen Johnston (Sally Solomon), French Stewart (Harry Solomon), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Tommy Solomon), Simbi Khali (Nina), Elmarie Wendel (Mrs. Dubcek), Wayne Knight (Officer Don), Jane Curtin (Mary Albright), Ileen Getz (Judith), Mindy Spence (Sam), Chad Einbinder (Rico)

To conclude this series they have Mary finally finding out about Dick. It is a little fast, how she accepted this fact (they should have done this earlier in the season and deal with this in more than one episode), but it was fun to watch her expressions when Dick asked her to think about the last six years with the knowledge that he is an alien and how much sense it makes.

Plot:
Way too edgy for network TV, this funny, uncensored, naming-names series peels off the glitter of Hollywood moviemaking and exposes the duplicitous but totally addictive, behind-the-scenes truth. Campy, uncesored and very controversial, this "too-close-to reality" show features guest stars that include Keanu Reeves, Salma Hayek, Scott Wolf and Sandra Bullock.

Superstar producer Peter Dragon (Jay Mohr, host of TV's "Last Comic Standing") builds his stellar career on the three pillars of show business - prostitution, nepostism and dishonesty. Adding to that an ego as big as a Beverly Hills mansion, the aptly named Dragon and his cohorts manage to be politically incorrect, backstabbing, phony, petty, pissy and most of all -- ingeniously funny!

Action
Season 1.13 Last Ride Of The Elephant Princess
Writer: Chris Thompson (Created By), Jim Vallely (Writer), Ron Zimmerman (Writer)

Like with the pilot I was bored with the episode. So much so, that I didn't even pay enough attention, if this episode provided a proper series or even season finale

Gomez, meanwhile, is burglarizing houses in his sleep, and it's curtains for the new neighbors when Morticia tries her hand at decorating. Now, complete your collection and prepare for a scare with the frightfully funny final volume of The Addams Family. It's drop-dead hilarious.

Just like any other episode. There is nothing which would tell that this is the final episode of the series. If you enjoy the other episodes, you will also enjoy this one.

SUPER SMALL = SUPER CUTE!

Whenever Keiichi leaves the house, Belldandy, Urd and Skuld shrink themselves to play with the other residents of the area - including their clueless rat sidekick, Gan. Whether it's life trapped in a jar of miso paste or the revolt of Urd's clones, the goddess adventures are dangerously funny!

SKULD: The sweet little sister of the goddess trio, Skuld's innocence counters the fact that her mechanical inventions frequently cause Gan bodily harm!

The Adventures of Mini-Goddess
Season 1.48 Korekara dounaru no? 29.03.1999
Writer: Kosuke Fujishima (Original Material By), Shouji Yonemura (Screenwriter), Chinatu Houjou (Screenwriter), Atsuhiro Tomioka (Screenwriter), Shinzo Fujita (Screenwriter)
Director: Yasuhiro Matsumura
Cast: Kikuko Inoue (Belldandy), Yumi Toma (Urd), Aya Hisakawa (Skuld), Mitsuo Iwata (Gan-chan), Tadashi Nakamura (Narrator), , Anthony Mozdy (Gan-chan), Wendee Lee (Urd), Sherry Lynn (Skuld), Ruby Marlowe (Belldandy), William Frederick (Narrator)

This episode acknowledges that it is the last episode. As this series is just taking the characters of the series "Ah! My Goddess" and having fun with them, it is often very meta. Here the goddesses and Gan-chan think what they should do as this is the last episode. They decide to celebrate. Funniest moment in this episode is, when Gan-chan dreams (multiple times) that the goddesses had made a lot of clones of him, saying how else he thinks he would have survived the series

Plot:
Crime doesn't pay. Not when SUPERMAN is around. Yet that won't stop METROPOLIS miscreants feverishly bent on malevolent misdeeds. A deadly KRYPTONITE ray gun, knights in armor, anti-memory vapor, a gizmo that zaps bad guys across phone lines, even a mind-reading burro who taps out responses (and who has suspicions about CLARK KENT!) - all are called into futile service to thwart the MAN OF STEEL.

"You can set your watch on it" JIMMY OLSEN says about Superman always showing up in the nick of time. The good news for series fans is that he shows up again and again in these 26 flights of fantasy that complete the six season Adventures of Superman. George Reeves returns as the caped hero: stalwart, caring and with a sense of humor...a pairing of star and role that continues to win fans the world over.

The Adventures of Superman
Season 6.13 All That Glitters
Writer: Robert Leslie Bellem (Writer), Whitney Ellsworth (Writer)
Director: George Reeves
Cast: George Reeves (Superman / Clark Kent), Jack Larson (Jimmy Olsen), Noel Neill (Lois Lane), John Hamilton (Perry White), Robert Shayne (Inspector Henderson), Phillips Tead (Professor J. J. Pepperwinkle), Len Hendry (Nick Mitchell), Jack Littlefield (Elbows Logan), Richard Elliott (Mr. Gobey), George Eldredge (John Salem), Paul Cavanagh (Delbert Carter), Myrna Fahey (Miss Dunn)

I only ever saw this series on DVD. But I only have finished the first two seasons so far. It has been some time since then, so I don't remember, if the early episodes were also this bad. It is like they are parodying themselves. Like they made the dialog and story so ridiculous, that there won't be no chance, they wouldn't be cancelled.
Superman/Clark is hardly in this episode. I am not sure if it is only because George Reeves directed the episode, or if this is regularly the case for later episodes.
Also I am not a fan of Noel Neill as Lois Lane. I think the first season's Lois Lane, Phyllis Coates, has the looks and attitude of a proper Lois. Not Noel Neill though.

One misplaced wish later, Keiichi find himself blessed with Belldandy, the perfect girlfriend and a goddess in every sense of the word. This is not the last episode in this set, but it was the last episode which was aired for the first series, and it concludes the season's storyline. It is a good episode.
The DVD contains two further light-hearted episodes which play after the finale. They were produced especially for the DVD release.

Plot:
The song may say "Thank heaven for little girls" - but who is college student Keiichi Morisato supposed to thank when three honest to goodness living Goddesses move in and take over his life? And should he really be all that grateful?

After all, in most mythologies, close relationships between mortals and immortals usually lead to mortifying complications, so we're already talking about an extremely mixed blessing! And when a FOURTH Goddess suddenly appears, that blessing becomes more like a curse! They may just be trying to help, but sometimes it seems that Belldandy, Skuld, Urd and Peorth might be less concerned with Keiichi's safety than they are with establishing a pecking order and ownership rights!

The delicate celestial balance that exists between human and goddess is thrown into complete and utter chaos in Ah! My Goddess 2 - The Complete Collection!

I decided to watch this episode as finale, even though it is a bonus episode produced for the DVD release coming after the finale. It is a nice episode provided some emotional closure.

The rules of comedy are about to be broken in Andy Richter Controls The Universe, one of the funniest sitcoms in TV history. A bored writer of instruction manuals, Andy spends his office hours daydreaming about what his life could, should and ought to be. Featuring the Emmy®-nominated series' 14 episode run – plus 5 that were never shown on network TV – this it cutting edge lunacy at its irreverent best, a mirth-quaking 10 on the Richter scale!

It is a good episode and it gives the characters some closures. And even though I like the ending overall, I still have the feeling to being left a little unsatisfied:

A great conclusion to the series. Throughout the 24 episodes we saw the girls going through their three years of Japanese high school. And in this episode they are graduating and it is fairly emotional. This episode suggests that the friendships they have built throughout this series will last even after everyone will go their separate ways.

And I really liked how true to the manga they stayed with this series, even though the manga was a four-panel comic strip and you wouldn't think it would be fitting for such a series.

Now for the first time on DVD you can see all twelve episodes of the Emmy® Award winning The Ben Stiller Show as well as an originally unaired thirteenth episode AND nearly an hour of unaired sketches, outtakes and rare, behind-the-scenes footage with commentaries by the entire cast and writing staff.

So sit back and watch as Ben Stiller, Janeane Garofalo, Andy Dick and Bob Odenkirk lead an inspired array of sketches and deft parodies with guest stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Dennis Miller, Flea, Garry Shandling, Susan Anton, and many, many more.

The Ben Stiller Show – you will wish it had survived an entire season.

I didn't find this last episode all that funny. Maybe at the time it was something refreshing, but the jokes that work have been seen many times since (or maybe even had been already at the time). Which is sad because this series had a great cast. Best one probably is Bob Odenkirk, who later did Mr. Show.
I don't really remember any of the other episodes, except that I also didn't really enjoy the first episode when I watched it in my pilot marathon.

Plot:
Join one of TV's most stunning breakout heroines as the action-packed series Bionic Woman leaps onto DVD! From executive producer David Eick (Battlestar Galactica) comes this gripping re-imagining of the universally beloved character.

Jamie Sommers is a hard-working woman struggling to take care of her younger sister. But after a serious, life-threatening accident, Jamie is saved by a top-secret procedure that makes her much more than just an ordinary woman... it makes her superhumanly bionic. Starring hot newcomer Michelle Ryan, as well as Miguel Ferrer (Crossing Jordan), Molly Price (Third Watch), Will Yun Lee (Witchblade), Lucy Kate Hale (How I Met Your Mother), and guest stars Isaiah Washington (Grey's Anatomy) and Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), it's a non-stop thrill ride unlike anything you've seen before!

As this series was cancelled very early in its run, this last episode is just another run-of-the-mill episode. Though I enjoyed it. Nice is, that at least we got a nice subplot of how Jaime has to decide if she should tell her little sister about her new work and her powers.

Left wheelchair-bound by The Joker, she has reinvented herself as Oracle, the team’s cyber expert. Huntress, Dinah, Oracle: They are the Birds of Prey. Fighting together. Living together. And soaring into adventure together in 13 breathtaking live-action episodes.

This is another series which was cancelled early. But here they at least got a chance to a last two-parter to conclude the main storylines of this season. Which is a luxury not a lot of series get to do in similar circumstances.
So they had to put a lot of stuff into these episodes, which makes the conclusion of these storylines a little rushed. But at least we get a resolution for them. Like the two love interests for the two main characters. One of them finally get together after a season of teasing. The other gets to find out about the crime fighting and all (thanks to Alfred where he pulls the same stunt he did in the first Batman movie with Vicky Vale). Another thing which comes out of nowhere: The resolution of whom killed the mother of Huntress.
The music replacements in this DVD release is something which really bothered me. One thing I mentioned before is the removal of the great theme song. The other big replacement is the final showdown. In the original aired version, they played T.a.t.u.'s "All the Things She Said", which worked really well. Also it was the first time I had ever heard the song. Although I have to admit, you would not notice these replacements, if you haven't seen the original version.

On the Bionic Woman....
I was waiting the entire run of the series for her to tell her little sister. Just when they were finally getting around to it... they canceled the series. I was so disappointed. I don't know how they would have gone about it... but the way I would have enjoyed seeing it go down is Jaime deciding NOT to tell her... but then end up having to when her sister sees her use her bionics in one way or another. Having the decision forced onto her.

I also enjoyed Birds of Prey quite a bit myself!

Plot:
Set in England at the end of the War of the Roses, we soon find out that the history we know is a Tudor fiction. In fact, Henry VII did not actually win the battle of Bosworth Field; he lost and though Richard III died in the battle, his nephew King Richard IV (who certainly was not smothered while still a boy in the Tower of London) reigned on for some years. The story focuses on Richard IV's younger son Prince Edmund, a sniveling coward who calls himself the 'Black Adder'. Assisted by his grungy servant Baldrick and the moronic Lord Percy, Edmund plots his rise to greatness.

The Historic Second Series

England 1558-1603. The filthy genes of the Blackadder dynasty bubble back to the surface of the melting pot of history as Lord Edmund, arrogant peer-about-town, swaggers back with a big head and small beard in search of grace and favour from stark raving mad Queen Bess. Accompanied by a small rabble of be-ruffed riff-raff - bottom-breath Baldrick and pea-brained Percy - the serpentine Lord Blackadder lower the whole tone of England's Golden Age.

The fourth and last series of Blackadder is also good. Although I like the second and third better. But this series has a very well done ending. Probably the best of all series.

To solve the brutal murder, Vicki finds herself collaborating, against her better judgement, with the suave and seductive Fitzroy. The relationship soon progresses beyond a purely professional arrangement, complicating her long term love affair with ex-partner Detective Mike Celluci... and pretty well everything else in her life.

Gordon Brittas goes from strength to strength. Despite his failed endeavour, and despite the endeavours of both his staff and his wife to depose him, Whitbury Leisure Centre continues to thrive.

Brittas continues to dream up new schemes to promote and improve the centre including a bungee jump, sequential staff reviews and computerisation - all with the usual Brittas diplomacy, aplomb and mayhem. Julie, heavily pregnant, embraces the bungee jump whereas Tim tries everything he can to avoid it at all costs. Meanwhile Colin has several tons of elephant manure delivered in a bid to find his engagement ring, lost at the zoo. The ring holds the key to his future happiness with Mrs Harcourt.

Julie is enjoying armed police protection and the constant body searches begin to irritate Brittas; Helen however does not share this irritation particularly as a certain PC Edwards is not such a bad looking chap! Helen is studying to be a therapy counsellor and needs to understand the benefits of both giving...and receiving! Maybe the body searches aren't such a bad thing after all.

Finally, the goings on at Whitbury bring about the attentions of Roger Ferguson, Investigative Journalist. Brittas believes this to be a serious documentary, begins coaching his staff in television presentation techniques and recruits a good looking male model as a stand in for Colin! Colin's rat takes a swim in the pool and there follows a strange outbreak of Bobula fever. Will Whitbury survive?

Die Camper
Season 9.13 Winterzauber

I only ever saw the first season of this series and stopped watching it in the beginning of the second season when the whole cast was replaced which really bothered me. I bought this DVD set with all nine seasons, because it is the only way to get the first season on DVD. And as the set cost me only as much as usually a single season sells, it was a good deal.
I decided to watch the final episode for this marathon even though I didn't watch the rest. This is a series, where you can watch any episode and not having missed anything. And as I doubt I will watch all the nine seasons any time soon.
The final episode is just an average episode. Not hinting in any way that this is the end of the series. It is nice enough to watch, but nothing special.

Sleuths come and go, working on intuition, luck and clues, but Slade and his science officer colleague Holly are armed with something extra in their fight against crime - their very own Time Machine.

Invented and developed over the years by Holly's father, quantum physicist Professor Fredrick Turner, the Time Machine is a bizarre mixture of DIY technology, but it works. Unfortunately the Professor disappeared during one of his time travel experiments, leaving his daughter convinced that he is still out there somewhere, stuck in another dimension.

Holly is now in charge of the Professor's extraordinary legacy, which is kept hidden in her apartment. When Slade, a charming maverick detective, discovers the Time Machine's existence, he convinces Holly to use it in order to solve major crimes. The scene is set for a rollercoaster ride, through the present and the past.

High speed chases and intriguing puzzles are solved with the aid of their unreliable Time Machine, in this stylish, fast-paced drama.

A good episode. And almost like a normal episode, but at least it has problem of the broken time machine with a hard to replace broken part, which puts further travels into doubt, which make it work a little more as a final episode.

From the producers of "The Simpsons" comes this hilarious animated sitcom about Jay, a New York movie critic and cable television host.

Pudgy and balding, Jay is not a well-liked man. His unsympathetic boss makes his life miserable, his ex-wife hates him, his adoptive parents barely tolerate him, and even the makeup lady treats him with disgust.

Fortunately for Jay, he has his 11-year-old son Marty and one very unlikely friend, Jeremy Hawke, the Australian film hunk.

Jon Lovitz provides Jay's distinctive voice as a single father who searches for happiness while satirizing life and the movies in this irreverent comedy.

Romance is in the air as the Seventh and Final Season of Sabrina, The Teenage Witch™ arrives on DVD for the very first time. Now that Sabrina (Melissa Joan Hart) is no longer a teenage witch, her aunts decide to move back to the Other Realm. Yet, Sabrina still needs to keep her magic powers in check as she and friends Roxie (Soleil Moon Frye) and Morgan (Elisa Donovan) move back into the aunts’ old Victorian house. Meanwhile, Sabrina has landed a job as a writer for the hip music magazine Scorch, where she meets her future fiancé Aaron (Dylan Neal). But with her former crush Harvey (Nate Richer) being egged on by mischievous cat Salem (voiced by Nick Bakay), who knows which guy Sabrina will choose? Included on 3 discs are all 21 Season Seven episodes of Sabrina, The Teenage Witch™, including the extremely romantic – –but hilarious – series finale!

The last few days I did have a Sabrina marathon, watching the last few seasons which were still in my unwatched pile. The last episode was actually cut together from the last two episodes. This is noticable, because the two half do not have a common story. The only episode of the last few seasons I ever saw before was the very last one. Even though I had stopped following Sabrina in the fourth season when it first aired on German television, I was curious about the finale. It is a good conclusion to the series.

Meanwhile, after the unexpected demise of Eagle Greeting Cards, Del is organising focus groups to determine why sales are down, and Annie is planning drastic measures to prevent losing any more roles to more "well-endowed" women. And as for Charlie... Well, that's another story.

"Being Erica" is a great series, which I can definately recommend. Also the final episode is a good conclusion to this series.

This was the first time that I have watched this series. When it originally aired, I stopped after the first few episodes. Am I glad that I gave this series another chance. My thought was that it really paid off that I gave Firefly a second chance. Now Joss Whedon has proven, that he has yet to disappoint me.
This series really got good after the first few episodes, when the focus switched from the single mission episodes to the arc episodes which focused on the other dollhouse employees.
The final episode is a great conclusion. Even though this series did not have a long life, it got the chance to do a proper ending. Personally I prefer series, which only are one or two seasons long. Then it is easier to rewatch at some point.

Not really the final episode of the series, but the last episode of the set I have. I plan to buy the rest also, but I feel that this episode works well for as a finale for the series. Especially as it is the last episode of most of the original main cast.

So far, my favorite series is the second one, closely followed by the third.

An enjoyable last episode. The best thing in this series is the bromance between Denny and Allan, which they played up more and more during the series. And here in the series finale they jump the shark on purpose (even mentioning it in one of they typical breaking of the fourth wall comments), and they both get married to each other

My favorite season was the fourth one. That may be because of Jerry joining the main cast and the introduction of Katie. I think those two made a great team and it was nice having more than two characters to be invested in. That was not the case of most of the other characters.

The thing which made me most curious about this series was Bill Shatner. He was nominated every season for an Emmy and won one of them. And he even got a Golden Globe for his role. That was something which I couldn't quite believe. But now having seen him in this series, I have to admit, that he has earned his nominations and awards. He was great in this series.

The thing that makes David E. Kelly shows *usually* (ignore the crazy ones) is the characters.  The ensemble casts tend to be very very good.  And in this one Shatner and Spader played off each other so well .. I enjoyed almost every episode in this series .. and that is hard to do.

A not so good conclusion to a good show. This last season has a good premise, but ten episodes was too much for it. They should have done a five episode story arc like in the third season and I think it would have been much better. Also I thought that Jack and Gwen became more and more out of character as this season went on.
And to make it worse, it ended on a cliffhanger.

Although I agree it wasn't the best Torchwood for me it is a 3.5/5 (pretty close).  There were some good bits.  And and I enjoyed Bill Pullman in his bad man role.  He takes on some outrageous roles and I thought he did very well with this one.

Jim lands the job of his dreams, but he and Pam must now adjust to a long-distance relationship. And... everyone is excited to finally see the long awaited documentary about their lives in the office, an event nine years in the making.

The Office
Season 9.23 Finale

The final season of The Office was a let down for me. The series has been one of my favorites, but it went on now too long until they didn't have any good ideas anymore. Some of the characters became a joke. Especially Andy this last season.
The finale itself was okay. I enjoyed it. Luckily the last season dealt a little with the airing of the documentary. And this last episode is set one year after the documentary has aired. Maybe it would have been better, if the documentary would have started airing toward the beginning of this season, and we could have seen the cast dealing with impact throughout the season.

A great show with only great episodes (except one: "Totem Mole" was garbage full of unindented racism). This last episode is just as good as the others. And a good conclusion. I have read how the series would have continued if it had another season or two. Could have been interesting, but could also have been bad. This way we got one great season without a major cliffhanger.

This was my second attempt at watching the complete series. At first try, I stalled after Season 3. Now I have finally have seen the complete series. I bought it initially, because I am a fan of Cheers and this is created by the same persons. Also there are a few guest appearances by Cheers characters. Norn, Cliff, Frasier, Lillith and Rebecca each appeared once. I had hoped for more appearances. The one from Frasier worked for me. The others felt forced.
Overall I only enjoyed the series a little. I didn't buy the main romance in this series. The got together early on, then broke up a few seasons and seem to have been valid and they didn*t really seem to miss each other really. But then suddenly they are soulmates again. But even when they were back together, they couldn't agree on much.
The finale was okay but I expected more. It was a good conclusion but not a bigger spectacle that I was expecting.

Season 10.13 Der Umzug

Director:
Cast: Walter Sedlmayr (Franz Schöninger), Elmar Wepper (Helmut Heinl), Max Griesser (Moosgruber)

I enjoyed revisiting this series. In the past I always watched it, when I caught it on TV. This is now the first time, that I watched it all through in order. In my opinion the episodes got stronger as the series went on. There were a lot of well known Bavarian actors in this series. But it was very noticable, that in the later seasons they used the same ones again and again for different guest characters. Even inside single seasons.

This last episode was good, but not really a series finale kind of deal. It was mainly about one of the main character and his family and how they move to another apartment. The second time in this series. I also noticed, that one of the three main characters wasn't even present in this episode. And even wasn't there in the last few episodes.

Plot:
College life as seen through the eyes of Steven Karp, a freshman determined to reinvent himself at a new school. Faced with dilemmas as miserable as being "sexiled" to the rec room while roommates use the bedroom and as dire as confronting a girlfriend's jealous stalker-ex-boyfriend, Steven and his new friends tackle the challenges of higher education. Named one of Time magazine's top ten television shows of 2001 and praised for its "pitch perfect" casting, Undeclared is "one of the cum laude comedies of the new season . . . a sneaky funny hoot with endearingly offbeat characters." (Los Angeles Times)

A nice little series. The last episode was fun, but nothing special. Jason Segel plays a derailed ex-boyfriend really well. You saw hints of this with his character in Freaks & Geeks. But here it is a completely different level.

It was a real joy revisiting this series. I enjoyed every minute of it.
This last episode features Meister Eder's Stammtisch (his friends from the pub) visiting him. They often featured and all were played by famous older Bavarian actors from the 80s. All of them I often see in different episodes of "Weißblaue Geschichten", which I also currently revisit.
Pumuckl had a chance given by Meister Eder, to make himself noticed by these friends. But Pumuckl chose not to (except to one of the friends).

Weißblaue Geschichten
Season 1.42 Ein Haus zum Verlieben / Einladung mit Hindernissen

I greatly enjoyed this Bavarian anthology series. Even though it is still ongoing (every few years an episode or so), it is very unlikely that a further DVD set comes. Also the new era of the show is not a must-see for me. See below for my reasons.

The series started out as a "Gustl Bayrhammer" vehicle. He as a well known and very likable Bavarian actor. He also starred as Meister Eder in Pumuckl which I recently reviewed. The first ten episodes or so, he starred in every single story of each episode. My favorite part of the series. The next ten episodes or so, he cut back (maybe because of health reasons) and usually only starred in one of 3-4 stories of each episodes. But appeared as a narrator in-between stories.

Then sadly Gustl Bayrhammer passed away. The series continued without him. Without a main figure head. Though for the next 15 episodes or so it seemed that Willy Harlander (another known Bavarian actor, who for example played Meister Eder's best fried in a few Pumuckl episodes) appeared at least in one story of each episodes. Though sometimes only in a very minor part.
Then he also sadly passed away. The next few episodes had still a few well known actor famous for their roles in Bavarian productions (e.g. Hans Clarin (voice of Pumuckl) appeared in quite a few.

The last few episodes I watched seemd to be under changing production companies. For a while it seems to be more of an Austrian production. The quality of the stories got a little worse, but I still enjoyed most of them. But without any recognizable faces for me, it is not that much of interest to me anymore. Though if there should be a third boxset with further episodes, I will probably buy it, if it is not too expensive.

This last episode I watched consisted of two stories. Both of which I quite enjoyed.
