That's not so easy, you have some great bollywood movies. Maybe a seperate marathon?Three of the listed movies are new additions and I will watch them soon.
But well, here's my vote: The Bucket List (2008) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0825232/)Yes, I liked the movie (I have seen it at the cinema).
Great actors in a heart warming movie!
BTW: Your links do not work for me:Thanks. I should have tried them first. It's fixed now.
http://www.imdb.com/tt0825232 -> does not work
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0825232 -> works
Who directed that anyway? Is it a director I've heard of?
There's a few too many romantic comedy for my taste. One that sounds interesting and gets my vote is: Relax... It's Just Sex .

Edit:
You don't like bollywood? :o
Ah, yes, I think he's done a fair bit on John Ford at least.

Directed by John Ford (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066997/)
If I do not watch a movie shortly after receiving it, chances are that it ends up in my "unwatched" pile for a long while.
So I thought I open up a different kind of marathon thread to help me out finally watching some of these movies.
I will list my unwatched movies here in my first post (and I will update it from time to time), and you can request a movie you want me to watch from this list. I will try to watch at least one requested movie a week.
BUT there is a simple rule to it: Each member is only allowed to request one movie at a time. That means, that you have to wait until I have watched your requested movie before you can request another one. Or you can withdraw a request and replace it with another one.
To be honest, my English is not sufficient to write reviews.
Another thing I'd like to mention: How did I get in contact with Bollywood?
But instead, I'd love to hear what you think of The Godfather. Have you seen anything of it before? If not, that's my choice.
Probably not, Pete. Clark Gable sadly doesn't turn out to be a vampire. Bloody hell, that would've been more fun, eh?
To be honest, my English is not sufficient to write reviews.
One or two sentences would be enough. Especially if you watched one you really enjoyed. I'd like to have some input with future purchases. Also I wouldn't feel so alone watching Bollywood movies

O.K. - so I'll schedule some bollywood-sessions! :D
BTW: In my experience, the German releases of "Rapid Eye (REM)" have the best quality in every way! Almost all of my REM bollywoods were initially released in a nice digipack with a lot of bonus material! ;)
So far I did not see any bollywood movies on blu-ray...

My first one was the German release of "Dil Se (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0164538/)" with only Hindi as audio track. This movie was a kind of starter drug! ;D
If my tags are correct, I own 68 bollywood movies. Some of them are really bad (s*** happens), but most of them are very nice!

So you can confirm that this release (http://www.amazon.de/ganzem-Herzen-Shah-Rukh-Khan/dp/B002NL545A/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I3H63TDBZ1OHJ5&colid=2TS24DW0AWQ3J) has a Hindi audio track? :)
Amazon does list only German, but as it is REM I couldn't believe this listing, so I put it on my wishlist anyway (and I think I also had found evidence to an Hindi track somewhere else). I really want to check this movie out at some point, because it is Preity Zinta's first role.

Strange: The UK Blu-ray lists a running time of 160 min. The German DVD lists 205 min, which according to IMDb is the actual length.
There also seems to be a German Blu-ray released in December

Title: Gone With the Wind (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gone_with_the_Wind_(film)) (http://www.invelos.com/images/BluRayLogo.png)
I think I will get some flack for this, but this movie bored me. I had to take a break half-way through and watched two other three-hour movies before I continued. I just couldn't connect with the characters and the plot just didn't reel me in. Scarlett is supposed to be an unlikable character (at least I think she is meant to be), but it isn't fun watching one of those for four hours.
Tom, your comment about flak suggests you think this is one of those classic films that everyone loves? The sort of film to be included with The Godfather or Casablanca or Lawrence of Arabia as genuine classics you might not have seen?
Thanks Tom... just what I needed to push me to watch it! :tease:
Uh-oh... Let's get him Jon!
hopefully deflecting the attention to Kahless... and can get out of watching it myself!

o.k. I cleaned my eyeglasses... 8)
How could you know that I'm shortsighted?
Sounds like this is NOT one to add to my Sandra Bullock collection! :P
Thanks Tom... just what I needed to push me to watch it! :tease:

Sound like the old Sorority/Lizzy Borden deal we did Pete and me :laugh:Thanks Tom... just what I needed to push me to watch it! :tease:I watched it for you, now you have to watch it for me :tease:

I just popped this in. Only 15 minutes in. And already have to say... it is not what I imagined. I am not sure how well I will make it through it. I saw the character Brent Tarlington... and all I could think was when is he going to duck away and become Superman!
And my God... I swear if I have to hear the phrase? word? whatever it is... "Fiddle-de-de" to many more times I think I will scream!
:o
Pete! For the love of God, have something with a vampire in it on hand! You may need an antidote, fast... :training:
Tom, Pete - you make my day :hysterical:
oh - did I mention, that "Gone With the Wind" is still on my "unwatched" - list? :fingerchew:

the only one is Casablanca and Jimmy, you really shouldn't dismiss it out of hand. It's one of the most watchable and entertaining films ever made. Bloody wonderful. But it was made during the second world war so I guess it was mostly a propaganda films to sell war bonds like many other done during those years...
As a fan of musicals, I have to say that "Singin' in the Rain" is great!I'm not Pete I can watch musical and appreciate some of them as you can read in my reviews of Alice in Wonderland and Jesus Christ Superstar. This is more the idea of singing and dancing for no reason who turn me off.

Well... lets put it this way. For Father's Day I am going to tell Britt I want a Lobotomy to hopefully be able to forget I ever saw her! :P
Just an excuse to post one of my favourite lines again! :POK that line make me laugh. But with all the film I want I've just not enough money to take a gambling on something I'm not sure to like.
