My Thoughts:
I have bought this movie in a bargain and it has been in my unwatched pile for a while now. After Pete posted his review today I thought it would be a good time finally watching it. And I must say I was really surprised how much I was enjoying this movie. Definitely better than I was expecting.

North by Northwest, a review by dfmorgan

North by Northwest

Year: 1959
Director: Alfred Hitchcock
Cast: Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, James Mason
Overview: Dazzling 50th Anniversary Restoration!

Cary Grant is the screen's supreme man-on-the-run in his fourth and final teaming with Master of Suspense Alfred Hitchcock. He plays a Manhattan adman plunged into a realm of spy (James Mason) and counterspy (Eva Marie Saint) and variously abducted, framed for murder, chased, and in a signature set-piece, crop-dusted. He also hangs for dear life from the facial features of Mount Rushmore's Presidents. Savour one of Hollywood's most enjoyable thrillers ever in this State-of-the-Art Restoration: its Renewed Picture Vitality will leave you just as breathless as the chase itself.

Watched: 6th. Nov. 2010
My Thoughts: OK I guess that Mr. Hitchcock is not to my style. Although I didn't have any high expectations I was still left underwhelmed by this film. I thought the actors came over well but overall the film did nothing for me.

My Rating: Yet another 2 for the master of suspense

Plot:
Join one of TV's most stunning breakout heroines as the action-packed series Bionic Woman leaps onto DVD! From executive producer David Eick (Battlestar Galactica) comes this gripping re-imagining of the universally beloved character.

Jamie Sommers is a hard-working woman struggling to take care of her younger sister. But after a serious, life-threatening accident, Jamie is saved by a top-secret procedure that makes her much more than just an ordinary woman... it makes her superhumanly bionic. Starring hot newcomer Michelle Ryan, as well as Miguel Ferrer (Crossing Jordan), Molly Price (Third Watch), Will Yun Lee (Witchblade), Lucy Kate Hale (How I Met Your Mother), and guest stars Isaiah Washington (Grey's Anatomy) and Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), it's a non-stop thrill ride unlike anything you've seen before!

Bionic Woman
Season 1.08 Do Not Disturb
Writer: Jason Smilovic (Writer)
Director: Gwyneth Horder-Payton
Cast: Michelle Ryan (Jaime Sommers), Miguel Ferrer (Jonas Bledsoe), Molly Price (Ruth Truewell), Will Yun Lee (Jae Kim), Lucy Hale (Becca Sommers), Kevin Rankin (Nathan), Brian Markinson (Vincent Aldridge), Michael Brock (Nick), Brent O'Connor (Valet Parker/Matt), Ben Cotton (Javier), Julia Keilty (Hotel Desk Lady), Jonathan Kralt (Dreadlock Dude), Juno Ruddell (Spa Therapist), Sherry Klassen (Gift Shop Clerk), Justin Sain (Bodyguard #1), Gerald Paetz (Bodyguard #3)

As this series was cancelled very early in its run, this last episode is just another run-of-the-mill episode. Though I enjoyed it. Nice is, that at least we got a nice subplot of how Jaime has to decide if she should tell her little sister about her new work and her powers.
