Charmed: Season 1
The discovery that they are descendants of a long line of witches finds three sisters battling demons and warlocks -- and occasionally each other.

When the beautiful Halliwell sisters inherit a house from their grandmother and discover a secret "Book Of Shadows," they learn that they each have a unique power. The strong-willed Prue (Shannen Doherty) can move objects, reserved Piper (Holly Marie Combs) is able to freeze time, and the uninhibited Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) sees the future. Individually, each is strong, but it is only by putting aside their differences and banding together as the "Power of Three" that they will be able to protect the innocent and vanquish evil. Each exciting episode in this richly layered series is a supernatural adventure brewing with suspense and humor.

Disc 1:

"Something Wicca This Way Comes"
Original Airdate: October 7, 1998
Reunited in the grand Victorian home of their childhood, a trio of sisters, Prue (Shannen Doherty), Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) and Piper (Holly Marie Combs) discovers they are gifted Wicca witches. Little do they know that their newfound powers mean that they are now prey to evil forces.

My Thoughts:
Ahhh... this is the episode that started it all... including my admiration for Holly Marie Combs. I have to admit it seems a little weird watching these early episodes now... seeing how they are started compared to how powerful they are by the eighth season.

"I've Got You Under My Skin"
Original Airdate: October 14, 1998
Phoebe can't resist a peek into the future. She and her sisters learn their first lesson in witchcraft - deadly demons can come in any kind of package, including gorgeous male photographers.

My Thoughts:
This is a fun episode. I especially liked how Piper (Holly Marie Combs) was afraid to enter the church because she was afraid she was evil.

"Thank You For Not Morphing"
Original Airdate: October 21, 1998
Reunited with their long-lost father, Victor Halliwell, the sisters are ecstatic but a little suspicious of his sudden reappearance. Could good ol' dad have an ulterior motive?

My Thoughts:
This was a really good episode.... not only do you have the sisters battling shape shifters... but we meet Victor... the girl's father. Also at the very end of the episode Leo shows up for the very first time.

"Dead Man Dating"
Original Airdate: October 28, 1998
Prue tries to avoid a birthday celebration as Piper befriends and saves the restless soul of a ghost who was murdered by a gang leader. The sisters save his soul and learn a valuable life lesson.

My thoughts:
This one was another really good episode. One that deals with ghosts. I especially liked it since it was a big Piper episode. I also liked the way they put some Chinese folk lore into the story line for this one. This episode remains one of my favorites of the season.

Disc 2:

"Dream Sorcerer"
Original Airdate: November 4, 1998
Overworked Prue battles a sleep demon in the guise of a handsome man, while Phoebe conjures a spell to attract men that turns out to be too strong - the sisters can barely escape their myriad admirers.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode... but not one I would call a favorite. I enjoy these early episodes... seeing the sisters making some mistakes with their magic as they learn.

"The Wedding From Hell"
Original Airdate: November 11, 1998
An evil bride-to-be, interested only in creating more demonic offspring, battles the Halliwell sisters during her demonic wedding party but is thwarted by Prue's investigation of a mysterious knife.

My Thoughts:
A decent episode... but once again not one of my favorites. This one had quite a bit about Pru's boss... and that was always a storyline I didn't care for too much... will be glad when that arc is over.

"The Fourth Sister"
Original Airdate: November 18, 1998
A troubled teenager, Aviva (Danielle Harris), befriends Phoebe with the hopes of joining the Halliwell coven of witches, but Aviva has her own agenda - to steal the Charmed Ones' powers.

My Thoughts:
This was a cool episode. One of the things I had fun with on this episode... was the back and forth between Piper and Phoebe... both trying to win over Leo... after all these years it is kinda weird seeing Phoebe lusting after Leo. Another thing about this episode... Aviva's aunt is played by an actress that returns seasons later as a recurring star... playing Phoebe's boss at the newspaper.

"The Truth Is Out There And It Hurts"
Original Airdate: November 25, 1998
The sisters stumble across a truth spell in the Book of Shadows and are put in the dangerous position of having to hear and speak the truth for 24 hours.

My Thoughts:
Another episode I liked a lot. Pru hitting Andy with such a huge bomb (that she is a witch) and expects to get a true reaction on whether he can handle it or not to me is ridiculous. And if I remember correctly she realizes this later in the season. I like the whole story where the demon from the future coming to destroy those that finds the "cure" before they can do so. It has a real Terminator feel to it.

Disc 3:

"The Witch Is Back"
Original Airdate: December 16, 1998
Prue is attacked by a powerful 300-year-old warlock (Billy Wirth) who is furious about having been trapped in a locket by an ancestor of the Halliwell sisters. The vengeful warlock can copy others' powers and the Charmed Ones must stop him.

My Thoughts:
This was a really good episode. One where we learn more about the Halliwell line of witches since we get to meet the witch that started it all... Melinda Warren.

"Wicca Envy"
Original Airdate: January 13, 1999
Prue's devious boss and secret warlock Rex (Neil Roberts) frames Prue for stealing a priceless tiara and puts her in jail. The sisters plot a jailbreak to catch the sly Rex in action.

My Thoughts:
Finally... the end of the storyline with Pru's bosses being warlocks trying to steal their powers... I was never very fond of that storyline or the characters of her bosses.

"Feats Of Clay"
Original Airdate: January 20, 1999
Phoebe's ex-boyfriend Clay (Victor Browne) breezes into town looking for a reconciliation but, as usual, there are strings attached. This time, Clay brings with him a mortal curse in a stolen Egyptian urn.

My Thoughts:
This is a fair episode... not one of my favorites and more of a filler episode. We do find out a little about Phoebe's life in New York and meet one of her ex's.

"The Wendigo"
Original Airdate: February 3, 1999
When a hideous supernatural creature attacks Piper, she begins to make a strange transformation - with similar traits to her attacker. Prue and Phoebe must save her by vanquishing the beast. But at night in the woods, how will they know for sure if it's the creature, or if it's Piper?

My Thoughts:
This one I love... it is not only one of my favorites of the first season... but one of my all-time favorites for the entire 8 year run.  A Wendigo seems to be a creature similar to a werewolf. Of course I enjoy this episode so much... is a big Piper episode!

Disc 4:

"From Fear To Eternity"
Original Airdate: February 10, 1999
Every 1,300 years, a unique demon appears that feeds on the fears of witches. This time it is targetting the Halliwell sisters and they receive aid from their Wicca ancestors just as they are close to their own fearful deaths.

My Thoughts:
This is another one of my favorites of the season. This episode has the first of several appearances by the demon of fear... played (excellently) by Billy Drago. I thought the storyline was well thought out and played nicely by all.

"Secrets And Guys"
Original Airdate: February 17, 1999
A kidnapped boy (David Netter) with special powers sends cryptic cries for help to Prue. The search for the boy leads to the unveiling of a special secret about Leo, Piper's beau.

My Thoughts:
Leo is back (for now)... and Phoebe finds out what Leo is... but she must keep it a secret from her sisters.

"Is There A Woogy In The House?"
Original Airdate: February 24, 1999
Phoebe's fear of a "Woogyman" who lives in the basement is an ongoing source of amusement for her two sisters. That is, until a violent earthquake unleashes a long-dormant shadow-demon that turns Phoebe against her siblings.

My Thoughts:
Really good episode... and the first time they come out with the fact that Phoebe could be a power of good or a power of evil.

"Which Prue Is It Anyway?"
Original Airdate: March 3, 1999
In an effort to protect Phoebe, Prue chants an incantation to multiply her strength. Surprisingly, the spell results in the creation of multiple Prues.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode... but not one I would call a favorite. Andy is getting closer to figuring out what is going on with the sisters...

Disc 5:

"That '70s Episode"
Original Airdate: April 7, 1999
The Halliwell sisters must cast a spell that returns them to the mid-'70s in order to save themselves from a warlock that is immune to the powers of the Charmed Ones.

My Thoughts:
This is an episode that is lots of fun... One I enjoy very much. It was fun to see Grams and the sisters mother basically for the first time (though I do believe we seen Grams before). I also enjoyed seeing what the sisters (2 of them anyway) were like as kids.

"When Bad Warlock Turns Good"
Original Airdate: April 28, 1999
Outrageous situations arise when Phoebe tries to help Piper make a love connection, and Prue meets a young man who is fighting against his destiny to become evil.

My Thoughts:
A decent episode... but not one of my favorites. Don't know what else to really say about this one... just a basic filler episode.

"Out Of Sight"
Original Airdate: May 5, 1999
The sisters attempt a dangerous rescue of a boy who has been kidnapped by a Grimlock, and Prue's secret is shattered when a reporter witnesses her using her magical powers.

My Thoughts:
A good episode. This is the first appearance of the Grimlocks... and the episode where Andy finally finds out the truth about the sisters. I really thought that Phoebe would hook up with the blind guy she got info from... there chemistry seemed so good on the show... but some reason they decided not to go there.

"The Power of Two"
Original Airdate: May 12, 1999
The evil spirit of a serial killer escapes from Alcatraz Island seeking revenge. It's up to Phoebe and Prue to figure out how to vanquish this evil spirit and stop him from killing again, and they must do it without Piper.

My Thoughts:
This is a good basic episode... this time dealing with the Ghost of Alcatraz. It almost seems strange having Andy go to the sister when an "unusual" case crosses his desk... but it really fits... I like him knowing.

Maybe I will buy this show this year. In Europe its comes in a nice package:

http://www.amazon.de/dp/B000NIN02Y/

But it's currently a bit too expensive for me.

Disc 6:
"Love Hurts"
Original Airdate: May 19, 1999
Returning to San Francisco, Leo (Brian Krause) asks the Halliwell sisters to protect an innocent woman who is being stalked by a demonic auditor. Piper finally learns that her beau, Leo, is a White Lighter. Because of this, Piper must say goodbye to her love.

My Thoughts:
This was a really good episode. Now all the sisters know about Leo as they fight to save his life. The sisters use a spell to switch powers so Piper can try to save Leo with his own healing power. As Phoebe said... it was a supernatural "Freaky Friday".

"Déja Vu All Over Again"
Original Airdate: May 26, 1999
Fighting for their lives, the Charmed Ones combat time sorcerer Tempus Fugit (guest star David Carradine) who has created a terrifying time loop. It is a race against the clock as the sisters try to find a way out of their terrifying recurring fates.

My Thoughts:
A great way to end the season. A ""Groundhog Day" type of episode as Tempus aides a demon to try to get rid of The Charmed Ones. Even though it was pretty obvious to have Phoebe see through the time loop with her psychic powers... but how else could they really of done it? It was the most obvious way... but at the same time the best way in my opinion.

Overall Season 1 Thoughts:
A great beginning to what I have always felt was an awesome series. I know many people that do not care for this show at all... and many who stopped at season 3... then there has been many that stopped at season 5 or 6.  I on the other had loved this series clear to the end. But fear I am one of the few. So if you haven't seen this series I would suggest checking out an episode or two before going out of your way to buy it. Unfortunately the first season (as well as the next 6 seasons) has no extras (other then promo trailers) what so ever. This was always a sad thing for me... but at least they tried to make up for it in the 8th (and final) season.

That looks like an awesome set... actually looks like the cases that we have now... but stored in a Charmed trunk (where Phoebe first found the "Book of Shadows")... but I think the release that I saw... that I liked the best (but forget where it was released) was a replica of the "Book of Shadows" with the discs on the pages. Would love to have something like that!

If you never seen this show... please look at my "Overall season 1 thoughts" before you decide to buy the entire run.

I was one of those who had decided to stop after the season 3, but I've decided to give it a chance. Now I have the first 5 seasons, I will probably continue since I don't like to have an incomplete set. But, honestly the season 5 was not that great and the last episode conclusion doesn't really make sense (at least for me).

Well, that's something where I'll have to disagree with you. I'm currently watching Season 5, and I love it so far. Granted I'm only halfway through (episode 12), but I find it's great so far.

Actually, I have 1 gripe about it, but that's something that can be said about almost every series ever made: Can they make up their mind about Cole? Will they finally settle on whether they want him to be good or bad? It gets so annoying.

Other glaring example of that? Lana in Smallville, Spike in Buffy some point, Logan Echolls on Veronica Mars, etc. etc. etc. I hate it when they use a single character, and make him "good" in one episode, "bad" in the other (you can also switch good/bad with love/hate). It seems like forced drama. I can usually see past it and still enjoy the show, but sometimes it really gets on my nerves. Lana on Smallville was probably one of the worst example of it in her relation towards Clark.

It does look nice on the shelves (http://www.doena-soft.de/dvds/tvshow01.jpg), but it's hard to handle if you actually want to watch them.

But Clark isn't entirely innocent in this, isn't he? I mean, he admires her for how many years but always pulls back. Then he becomes human, has finally "a moment of true happiness" and shortly afterwards retreats from the field.

Clark may want to protect her, but what Chloe said in the wine cellar is entirely correct, he is afraid to put the heart on the line.

Yes... Similar to that... but it looked like a nicely made hard cover book... that looked something like the "Book of Shadows" in the show. (I can't tell by that pic just how well it is made) But the one I saw actually came with a pedestal to hold the book and everything (if I remember correctly)... and looked awesome.

Note: Just looked at the pic of your shelf... that book looked really good... but the pictures I saw of the other book looked a little more sturdy.

I just found it... it was released in  Australia see HERE (http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/789201)... though I can't seem to find the images of the pedestal that holds it... so I may have been wrong there.

One thing I forgot... this came out before Season 8 was released... so it only comes with seasons 1-7 but there is empty pages to add Season 8 to it.

Getting a better look at it it don't look anything like the book in the show (was going by memory from long ago)... but it is still a very nice set!

That's true. But the blame shouldn't even be on Lana or Clark, but on the writers! What I hate is all those now I like you, now I don't, maybe I do, but I don't really, but at the very bottom of my heart I do, but I can't show you, yet I will kiss you, but I can't tell you... know what I mean?

It's like.. They want to get somewhere, but to keep the show "interesting", they just keep going round and round and round. When it's well done and doesn't last 4-5 years, it works, but it usually lasts indefinitely, and I find it irritating.

Charmed: Season 2
The Halliwell sisters are back... and they've got "the power of three"! 'Charmed: The Complete Second Season' casts a spell of excitement, adventure and fun as Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) continue their journey as modern-day witches.

From the intense season opener, when the trio battles an old foe who attempts to render then powerless, to the suspense-filled, and at times very humorous season finale, these beauitiful heroines will have you wish for more. Their foes are stronger, Their powers are growing, and the suypernatural has even more unique ways of disrupting their drama-filled personal lives just when to het it together. Each exciting episode of 'Charmed: The Complete Second Season' continues to work magic that made this critically acclaimed audiencefavorite a force to be reckoned with.

Disc 1:

"Witch Trial"
Original Airdate: September 30, 1999
When a demon steals the Book of Shadows, the Ha!liwell sisters have just one chance to recapture it or they will lose their powers forever.

My Thoughts:
A nice strong episode for the season premiere. We even get to see some of the demons they vanquished in the first season... as the demon undo the spells that The Charmed Ones casted in the first season. I also liked how they showed repercussions from the end of the first season... and showed Pru freezing up when she faced the first demon since what happen at the end of season 1.

"Morality Bites"
Original Airdate: October 7, 1999
Phoebe has a horrifying premonition of her own execution, so the sisters cast a one-time spell that catapults them into the future to try and change her fate.

My Thoughts:
Another really good episode... one that shows there can be serious repercussions even with minor acts of revenge and personal gain. And I liked how they showed the future if they were ever exposed. Makes you wonder if that is what it would be like if we never smartened up from the days of the Salem Witch Trials.

"The Painted World"
Original Airdate: October 14, 1999
The sisters are trapped in a painting by a warlock who plans to torch it and destroy them unless Phoebe can reverse their impending doom.

My Thoughts:
This is a basic filler episode... and nothing really all that special about it. But it was enjoyable.

"The Devil's Music"
Original Airdate: October 21, 1999
Leo returns to help the sisters save their young neighbor when the manager of a band scheduled to play Piper's nightclub makes a demonic deal.

My thoughts:
A music heavy episode... and you all know how I feel about music. But it was still enjoyable. In this one some band called Dishwalla comes to play at Piper's new club... that she finally gets open in this episode. As I said it was still an enjoyable episode... and I was able to basically tone out/ignore the music.   :P

Disc 2:

"She's A Man, Baby, A Man!"
Original Airdate: November 4, 1999
When Prue casts a spell to catch a demon who kills only men, she turns into a guy who is rendered powerless as the demon's fatal charms zero in on her.

My Thoughts:
This one is more of a fun episode then anything else. It was pretty funny to see Shannen Doherty as a man.

"That Old Black Magic"
Original Airdate: November 11, 1999
An evil witch hunts for her magic scepter, which Prue has found, while Leo, Piper and Phoebe must locate the Chosen One to keep the powerful scepter out of evil's hands.

My Thoughts:
A good episode.. but not one I would call great. I did get a kick out of them putting some lost documentary makers in the woods... claiming they were looking for the Blair Witch.

"They're Everywhere"
Original Airdate: November 18, 1999
The Charmed Ones must save a young man from brain-zapping Warlocks who
are after the power he has collected from ancient tablets.

My Thoughts:
This is a basic filler episode... a good one... but nothing really special here.

"P3 H20"
Original Airdate: October 21, 1999
Prue must face her greatest fear in order to destroy a watery demon when the sisters revisit the place where their mother suspiciously drowned. In the process, they meet a mysterious stranger from their mother's past.

My thoughts:
This is one I liked a lot. Goes back into the mother's past... and were we first learn of Sam. I remember watching this one for the first time.. thinking it is about time they finally face the demon that killed their mother!

Disc 3:

"Ms. Hellfire"
Original Airdate: January 13, 2000
Prue assumes the identity of a mysterious assassin, while Piper and Phoebe race against time to protect the next intended victim.

My Thoughts:
This was a very good episode I enjoyed it a lot. Pru really got into playing bad... and made it fun to watch. But I will say... that wannabe witch they saved really got on my nerves to watch... I am glad she wasn't in more of the episode then what she actually was.

"Heartbreak City"
Original Airdate: January 20, 2000
A Demon of Hate steals Cupid's powerful love ring and sets out to destroy all of his recent love matches, including the relationships of the Charmed Ones.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode... but not one of my favorites. It is just a basic good episode. And when you have a series that lasts well over 100 episodes the basic good episodes just don't seem as special.

"Reckless Abandon"
Original Airdate: January 27, 2000
Phoebe brings home an abandoned baby boy so the Charmed Ones can protect him from a vengeful ghost who has been killing off the men in his family.

My Thoughts:
Another basic filler episode... but was fun to watch. I got a kick out of seeing the sisters interact with a baby for the first time.

"Awakened"
Original Airdate: February 3, 2000
Prue and Phoebe ignore the code preventing witches from using spells for personal gain when Piper comes down with a mysterious. life-threatening illness.

My thoughts:
This is one I liked a lot. of course it does center around Piper... so that might have something to do with it. I also liked how they put the disease into a ninja doll and how they made others get infected with the disease. So was a fun episode for me.
Title: Re: Charmed Marathon

Disc 4:

"Animal Pragmatisrn"
Original Airdate: February 10, 2000
When Phoebe's friends use a book of spells to turn animals into men, Phoebe's attempt to reverse the spell goes horribly wrong.

My Thoughts:
This episode is nothing more then a done for fun Valentines Day episode. And yes it is a fun episode. I did like how they got around normal people pulling off a spell that only a witch could do.

"Pardon My Past"
Original Airdate: February 17, 2000
Phoebe risks her life by travelling back in time in order to reverse the past in which she was seduced by an immortal warlock to give into the dark side of her power.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode... another one where we are reminded that Phoebe could turn either good or evil.

"Give Me A Sign"
Original Airdate: February 24, 2000
When criminal mastermind Bane Jessup (Antonio Sabato, Jr.) narrowly escapes an attack by a powerful demon, he kidnaps Prue and forces her to use her powers to save him.

My Thoughts:
Nothing really special about this episode. Bane is back... no big deal to me... I didn't care for him the first time. Piper stress over if she should be with Dan or Leo.

"Murphy's Luck"
Original Airdate: March 30, 2000
When Prue rescues a woman who has been driven to attempt suicide by a Darklighter, she finds herself his next tormented victim.

My thoughts:
This is a good episode... but not great. Prue goes hunting for a job as a photographer. Saves girl being tormented by a Darklighter... Darklighter turns his wrath on Prue.  The only really big thing for this episode is not only does Piper make up her mind who she wants to be with... but Leo becomes a whitelighter once again.
Title: Re: Charmed Marathon
Post by: addicted2dvd on March 02, 2008, 02:08:36 PM
Disc 5:

"How To Make A Quilt Out Of Americans"
Original Airdate: April 6, 2000
The sisters are asked by a family friend to stop a demon who steals skin from corpses, and soon learn that the woman is actually trading their powers for eternal youth and beauty.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... in this one you get to meet Gram's old coven... and just how much people will give up do to being elderly and sick. An elderly and sick witch tries to steal The Charmed Ones powers just to become young and healthy again. Piper... with all her love problems is sick of being a witch and is ready to call it quits.

"Chick Flick"
Original Airdate: April 20, 2000
The Halliwell sisters battle a demon who is bringing horror film characters to life and has called upon a knife-wielding corpse to kill them.

My Thoughts:
This is one of my all time favorite episodes. In this one a demon discovers he is able to go into movies and bring characters out into real life. So what does he do? He goes to horror movies. He brings out an Axe Murder from one movie... and Bloody Mary from another. Then sicks them on the sister... only problem... they are not real so can't be killed.

"Ex Libris"
Original Airdate: April 27, 2000
Phoebe tries to help the ghost of a former student who was killed by a demon wanting to stop the publication of the student's thesis proving the existence of evil.

My Thoughts:
Another episode I liked. One I liked the side story just as much (if not more) then the main storyline. This one has Cleavant Derricks (Sliders) guest starring. He is on the streets searching for a witness to the murder of his daughter.

"Astral Monkey"
Original Airdate: May 4, 2000
A doctor accidentally acquires the powers of all three Halliwell sisters during a blood transfusion and begins using them to harvest organs from innocent victims.

My thoughts:
A decent episode... but nothing really special here. Though I did like the way it picked up from the episode "Awaken". We find out what is done with the blood drawn from The Charmed Ones.

Disc 6:

"Apocalypse Not"
Original Airdate: May 11, 2000
Piper, Phoebe and Leo must rescue Prue, who has become trapped in a vortex with one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... though basically a filler episode. Nothing really all that special about it.

"Be Careful What You Witch For"
Original Airdate: May 18, 2000
Prue is killed and Piper and Phoebe are powerless to reverse the deadly damage when a fast-talking genie working for a Dragon Warlock grants each of the sisters a wish.

My Thoughts:
they decided to end this season with more of a fun episode then something serious. They had French Stewert to guest star as the genie... which I doubted the first time I heard about it... but he actually did a good job. It is kinda odd how they temporarily killed Prue in this episode what with what happens at the end of the next season.

Over-All Season 2 Thoughts:
Over-all I felt this was a good strong season. I am kinda glad Dan (Piper's boyfriend neighbor) is now gone... as I never much liked that character. Unfortunately this season has no extras what so ever... besides basic promo trailers on the first disc.

As much as I been absolutely loving this marathon... I need to put it on hold for a bit now. I found out that this week there will be a lot going on with my mother. I unfortunately found out that her lung cancer is definitely back... though not to what degree. She has an appointment for some tests tomorrow that should tell us more once the results get back to us. Which I am guessing will probably be on her next general doctor appointment.

Anyway with a lot going on starting this week I just don't know how much of what I will be able to watch so I think it will be better if I started watching a disc at a time  on different shows and a movie here and there again for a while. Maybe weekends will be better to do my Weekend Movie Marathons.

Pete, it's so bloody unfair. Best wishes to you all, and keep your spirits up. I so wish that Charmed was actually a documentary and we could call up one of those girls to wave a magic wand and put it right.

Maybe I will buy this show this year. In Europe its comes in a nice package:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000LXGRSK/
http://www.amazon.de/dp/B000NIN02Y/

But it's currently a bit too expensive for me.
After Amazon reduced the price for the first season, I made a blind buy yesterday. I ordered both parts of the first season (Charmed is sold as half season around here), 14.95€ each.

Charmed: Season The Complete Third Season
Three times is a charm! 'Charmed: The Complete Third Season' has three times the power, as well as all of the supernatural thrills and excitement, as the Charmed Ones -- Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) -- deal with being modern-day witches.

How could life get any more complicated for the Halliwell sisters? One learns that her greatest love is also her greatest enemy; another defies The Powers That Be to marry; and tragedy unexpectedly befalls the third, leaving the sisters powerless to stop it.

The perfect potion of suspense-filled adventure, crafty humor and dynamic heroines casts a spell that brings you 22 episodes of pure viewing magic.

Disc 1:

1. The Honeymoon's Over
Prue (Shannen Doherty) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) set a killer free in order to protect their identities, then must fight a soul-stealing Guardian without Piper (Holly Marie Combs), who has disappeared with Leo (Brian Krause).

My Thoughts:
The season three premier was done very well. Lots of stuff going on. Piper returning home after disappearing for a month. Cole is introduced... Piper and Leo gets engaged... Phoebe gets a new power. All that besides the weekly demon fighting story. The weekly demon storyline was decent... but not one of the better that I have seen. It did bring up a good question to the sisters just how far should they go within the mortal laws to protect their secret.. in this case being witnesses in a court case.

2. Magic Hour
Piper and Leo defiantly attempt to marry in spite of the wrath from The Powers That Be, as a demon infiltrates the lives of the three Charmed Ones.

My Thoughts:
Leo and Piper tries to get away with a secret wedding... away from the all seeing eyes of the Elders. In the mean time, the sisters try to reunite cursed lovers. I really liked how they did the curse. It reminded me of a movie I seen many years ago that I just can not remember!... but they curse the man to be an owl during the day... and the woman a wolf during the night. I just asked a friend I am chatting with what movie I am trying to think of... she says it is Lady Hawk.

3. Once Upon A Time
Piper goes on strike against The Powers That Be, so Prue and Phoebe must work alone to save a little girl protecting a fairy princess from evil trolls.

My Thoughts:
This one is a really fun episode. WE have fairies... trolls... and Prue and Phoebe on Fairy Dust turning them (mentally) into little kids. but at the same time as being a fun episode... it also has it's emotional side as well. We get some very strong emotions from Piper wanting The Elders to return Leo. Definitely one of my many favorite episodes.

4. All Halliwell's Eve
The Helliwell sisters travel back to the 1600s to protect a coven in danger of extinction and save their own future.

My Thoughts:
If I am remembering correctly... this may be the only Halloween episode of Charmed during their entire 8 season run. I normally don't care for what I call "Period Pieces"... movies/episodes that take place well into the past. But this is definitely an exception. I liked the way that they showed there was a lot of magic know-how lost over the years. And I especially liked the reveal of who it was they went back in time to save. Another really good episode!

Disc 2:

5. Sight Unseen
An invisible demon is sent by the Triad to destroy the sisters, as Prue obsesses over a human stalker who seeks to kill her.

My Thoughts:
This episode is a fairly standard episode. This episode focuses both on the Cole plot as well as a weekly story that surprising has nothing to do with demons. Made for a nice change of pace... and evenly leveled.

6. Primrose Empath
Piper and Phoebe race against time to save a cursed Prue, who has been tricked by Cole (Julian MrcMahon) into helping a demon.

My Thoughts:
A decent... but standard episode. Shannen Doherty does a fine job in the scenes where she is being tortured by Empathy.

7. Power Outage
Cole/Belthazor invokes an Anger Demon to pit the sisters against each other, rendering them powerless and vulnerable to attack.

My Thoughts:
Yet again we get another good, but standard episode. I think it is all the Cole story lines that puts me off some. I have never been a fan of that character. Not for any real reason... as I do see him as adding a lot to the series... but something about him I just personally do not like. This episode does however show just how deeply their sisterhood bond means to them. They loose that and they loose much more then just a family member.

8. Sleuthing With The Enemy
Prue and Piper team up with a bounty-hunter demon to destroy Belthazor, but Phoebe has other plans for the man she loves.

My Thoughts:
Once again we get another good but standard episode... just an episode devoted to the Cole storyline.  I will admit... being such a huge Cole episode... my mind wandered a bit while watching this one.

Disc 3:

9. Coyote Piper
When a life essence takes possession of Piper, her soul is at risk of dying if Prue and Phoebe don't kill her body.

My Thoughts:
Ahhhhhh... this is more like it. Finally an episode I can sink my teeth into. I loved every second of this episode! For one thing it is a piper episode!  :drooling: But also it deals with possession... one of my favorite subjects when it comes to horror movies. So that makes it a lot of fun to watch. Besides... what straight male couldn't love Holly Marie Combs' dance on that bar!...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZ4viLcwtuI
That scene alone shows me music actually is good for something!  And then there was the added plus that Cole was not in this episode. Sure there was a lot of talk about him... but he didn't actually appear in the episode.

10. We All Scream For Ice Cream
Phoebe and Prue battle to save innocent children from the force of The Nothing, but must enlist the help of their father to do so.

My Thoughts:
More of a lighthearted episode. Seemed to be an episode that was played seriously... but at the same time for fun.  This episode is also the first time in this season that we see the sister's father. The episode itself was definitely enjoyable. Plus another Cole-less episode as well.

11. Blinded By The Whitelighter
The Charmed Ones battle their most powerful opponent, an ancient warlock who threatens the existence of all Whitelighters and witches.

My Thoughts:
A very good, strong episode. This time around Phoebe comes clean about not vanquishing Cole... but only to Leo. At this point she still hasn't told her sisters. Cole still hasn't shown back up yet... which is cool by me. And in this episode Piper and Leo is officially engaged.

12. Wrestling With Demons
When Phoebe confesses that she let Cole escape, a betrayed Prue and Piper must put their feelings aside to stop Prue's old boyfriend from becoming a demon.

My Thoughts:
And this is the episode that Phoebe finally lets her sisters know that Cole is still alive. I actually have mixed feelings about this one. No real reason... it is a fun episode... but for some reason whenever I watch it I get the feeling that somehow it could have been better. I did kinda get a kick out of seeing the pro wrestlers on this one... I used to watch pro wrestling as a teen... but it has been many years since I been into it. Just kinda grew out of it.

Disc 4:

13. Bride And Gloom
Phoebe turns to Cole for help when a demon tricks Prue into marriage so he can turn the sisters evil and take possession of the Book of Shadows.

My Thoughts:
This is another fun episode. It was really entertaining to get a glimpse of what the sisters would be like if they were evil. This is also the episode that Cole returns... oddly though... as much as I dislike him... I didn't mind him all that much in this particular episode. Maybe because his time was limited a little less then most episodes he is in.

14. The Good, The Bad And The Cursed
Phoebe's visit to a ghost town becomes a nightmare, and when Leo can't help her, Prue and Cole must unravel the mystery to save her.

My Thoughts:
Here we have an interesting episode. Get a little taste of the Old West. Much more Cole in this episode... so that part didn't appeal to me much. But nonetheless I enjoyed it.

15. Just Harried
Piper begs for a demon-free wedding day, but her marriage to Leo is put on hold when Prue is accused of murder.

My Thoughts:
A good episode filled with emotion. Piper and Leo finally make it to their wedding. Of course you know they couldn't make it as easy as that on the show. They also have to deal with that in her sleep Prue is split in two... her sleeping self and her astral self.. trying to get away from all the responsibility that she has. As she finds out that she finally has to take some time for herself instead of only being there for others.

16. Death Takes A Halliwell
Prue faces the Angel of Death while two Seeker Demons destroy everything in their way in order to find and kill Cole.

My Thoughts:
Another powerful episode. Not to mention a glimpse into what will be happening in the show soon. In this episode, like the previous episode, it is Prue that once again learns a hard lesson. Episodes like this makes me wonder if the show was hinting at Prue's end on the show... or if at this point they didn't know they were about to loose Shannen Doherty... and they were doing some major character development.

Disc 5:

17. Pre-Witched
The Charmed Ones battle a warlock that gets stronger every time it is vanquished, as Piper wrestles with her decision to move out of the manor.

My Thoughts:
This is a really powerful and emotional episode. As Piper and Leo prepares to move out of the Manor they deal with the memories of life with Grams as well as her death and what it meant to the sisters. Aside from such emotion running wild we get a warlock, an ex witch familiar, that needs to be killed off by The Charmed Ones 9 times so that he can stay in warlock form... as well as be immortal.

18. Sin Francisco
When the sisters fight a demon cursing people with the Seven Deadly Sins, they must first save themselves from succumbing to the powers of their own sins.

My Thoughts:
After a good handful of serious episodes... here we have one that plays for fun. The sisters... as well as Leo... get infected with one of the 7 Deadly Sins each.

19. The Demon Who Came In From The Cold
The sisters and Leo count on Cole to help them when he goes undercover in The Brotherhood, an elite gang of demons, but can he be trusted?

My Thoughts:
This is a decent, but standard episode. A huge Cole episode... so that was something I had to deal with. This episode is there to make you wonder if Cole can stay good even though surrounded by evil.

20. Exit Strategy
When Cole is framed for the killing of a witch the sisters tried to protect, he finds it harder to contain his dark side while Piper can no longer control her powers.

MY Thoughts:
This is a continuation of the last episode. Is also a decent episode... but this time I definitely can not call this one standard. Something happens in this episode that changes things for the rest of the series. In this episode Piper's powers grow. Now instead of just having the ability to freeze... she discovers she now also has the power to blow things up.

Disc 6:

21. Look Who's Barking
Prue is transformed into a dog to help track down a Banshee demon, but when the demon attacks Phoebe, Cole must save her.

My Thoughts:
This is a really fun episode. I always liked the episodes where the sisters get turned into something else. And in this episode 2 of the sisters get turned into something... besides Prue getting turned into a dog... we also have Phoebe getting turned into a Banshee.

22. All Hell Breaks Loose
When Piper and Prue are exposed as witches, Phoebe sacrifices herself to the dark side to save them, but the deal threatens to destroy them all.

My Thoughts:
This is really a powerful season finale. They really get a huge show in this one episode. It has such a huge ending that it leaves you desperate to see more. I remembered the first time I watched this episode... I was so worried about what was going to happen to this series after such a huge episode. But I will go more into that when I start the season 4 set.

Over-All Season 3 Thoughts:
I definitely have mixed feelings on this season. There was some really good episodes here. But it also is the season that introduces Cole. And even though I can not say why I dislike that character so much... even though I do know he was very important to the series... I just can't get into that character for anything in the world. Over-all I definitely enjoyed this season... but I wouldn't say it is my favorite season. Unfortunately there is no real extras in this set. All you get is some trailers for other TV Series on disc 1 that they want you to buy.

Couldn't help myself... had to continue!

Charmed: Season 4
The Charmed ones, modern-day urban witches Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Paige (Rose McGowan), move into Season Four with deeper, darker and more deftly crafted stories. As Piper and Phoebe struggle with the loss of their older sister, they discover the existence of half-sister Paige Matthews. Possessing the power to orb as a half-Whitelighter, Paige joins the Halliwell sisters to recreate the magical triad that protects the innocent and vanquishes evil. But all may be lost as Cole's (Julian McMahon) demonic side takes over, and Leo (Brian Krause) must face his past if he is to help the sisters in a battle that could destroy them all.

With intriguing characters, amazing special effects and the perfect brew of suspense, drama, and humor, each exciting episode in this fascinating supernatural series casts a gripping spell.

Disc 1:

1. Charmed Again
Phoebe and Piper grieve Prue's death and struggle with the demise of the Power of Three until they discover the existence of half-sister Paige, a Whitelighter.

My Thoughts:
With Shannen Doherty gone I originally thought that was the end of Charmed. But wow was I surprised to see them really pull it off. I was concerned when I first saw Paige... but at the same time I instantly liked her. It is almost a restart of the series... seeing one of "The Charmed Ones" first learning to use her powers.

2. Hell Hath No Fury
Paige steals the Book of Shadows for personal gain, while Piper's inability to deal with Prue's death makes her vulnerable to demon vigilantes.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode... I really enjoyed it! Paige makes her first of many mistakes learning to be a witch... and Piper gets turned into a Fury. As I have said in previous post... I like when they get turned into something else. Always makes for a fun episode.

3. Enter The Demon
Paige creates havoc when she mixes potions that switches her body with Phoebe's and must battle evil that has opened a portal between two worlds.

My Thoughts:
Interesting and good episode... but a standard one. Paige makes another mistake. but fortunately the mistake that she makes helps them save the day. How convenient!  :P

Disc 2:

4. Size Matters
A hideous demon shrinks Phoebe to a powerless five inches and uses her as bait to trap the other two sisters.

My Thoughts:
This is a really good episode. One of my favorites. But that could be because of the guest star in this one. Has one of my favorite horror genre actors in it. Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger)... he plays the "demon of the week" in this episode. And the episode is a lot of fun.

5. Knight To Remember
After conjuring up a medieval prince and discovering she was an evil enchantress in a past life, Paige must save Phoebe and Piper who have become trapped in the Dark Ages.

My Thoughts:
This is a pretty good episode. It is the episode that Piper and Phoebe decide it is time to have Paige move in with them. And it also is one where we find out about Paige's past life... an evil past of a Charmed One... like the show never did that before! But I guess it is ok to recycle some ideas now that the series has a new start with a new sister. Just as long as they don't go to far with it.... and if memory serves me right... they didn't.

6. Brain Drain
When The Source taps into Piper's brain and alters her perception of reality, Phoebe and Paige work quickly before she gives up all their powers.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode... I did enjoy it. But what is it about fantasy shows? It is like they all must have those "What if I am really crazy... and in a nut house?" episode. Don't get me wrong... I think they did a really good job with it. But it just seems like every fantasy series must have this story in there somewhere.

7. Black As Cole
Phoebe encounters Cole's demonic past when the sisters help a widow seek vengeance on a demon that killed her fiance.

My Thoughts:
This is a pretty good episode. Is a big Cole episode... and a major turning-point for the character... as his demon half gets vanquished.

Disc 3:

8. Muse To My Ears
The sisters fiercely battle warlocks who are enslaving the world's muses to use their divine creative inspiration for evil.

My Thoughts:
A good... but standard episode. Nothing that really stood out for me in this episode.

9. A Paige From The Past
Haunted by her parents' tragic death, Paige travels back in time while Pipermust prevent the marraige of Phoebe and Cole, whose bodies are inhabited by outlaw ghosts.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. Obviously we see Paige's past in this episode. Since they go to her teen years they try to play down her bauty... with little results. I really didn't care too much for the side story with Phoebe and Cole though. But over-all an episode I enjoyed.

10. Trial By Magic
Phoebe must convince other jury members of the existence of magic while Piper, Paige and Leo frantically search for the real killer in time to free an innocent man.

My Thoughts:
This is one that I really liked a lot. Of course that could be because I do like some court shows as well... and always enjoyed shows that dealt with a jury. I don't know why... but always liked seeing my favorite TV Show characters in that situation.

11. Lost And Bound
The sisters must teach a 10-year-old Firestarter how to use his power for good before his demon bounty-hunter foster parents find him.

My Thoughts:
Another good... but standard episode. This one did have some purpose to the series though... it was to teach Piper a lesson for when she is to have her kids... and whether or not there could be justifiable reason to bind their powers.

Disc 4:

12. Charmed And Dangerous
The Source taps into the ultimate power of the Hollow, which consumes all magical powers, to unleash an ancient evil that goes after the sisters powers.

My Thoughts:
This is a very good episode... this is the episode that The Charmed Ones finally taken on The Source. And also opens up a new chapter in the Cole story.

13. The Three Faces of Phoebe
When Phoebe casts a spell to decide if she should marry Cole, she faces her past and future, while Cole is unable to control the evil growing within him.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. I liked the spell that Phoebe cast that brings her young self and her old self to help her decide what to do. Even though I don't like the Cole character... I must admit the storyline is still a good one and I am getting into it. But as I said... the Cole's story is good and the character is important to the series.. but something about him, himself I don't like. I thought maybe it was the actor portraying Cole... but I like him in Fantastic Four. So that must not be it.

14. Marry-Go-Round
Phoebe fights with her sisters on her wedding day while The Source, which has completely taken over Cole, orchestrates a demonic ceremony.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... but not as good as expected when considering it is such a huge episode to the storyline. You can already see in this episode that Paige is starting to see a problem with Cole. She just don't know what that problem is.

15. The Fifth Halliwell
Paige, who feels like a fifth wheel among her happily married sisters and husbands, becomes convinced that Cole is still a demon.

My Thoughts:
A really good episode. I liked how Cole had Paige not knowing what to believe. This is also the episode that starts off Phoebe's long running career as a advice columnist.

Disc 5:

16. Saving Private Leo
When two ghosts seeking revenge on Leo kill Piper, Phoebe and Paige face the horror of losing another sister.

My Thoughts:
Excellent episode! Is one of my favorites. In this episode we learn a lot about Leo's past. Which I found really interesting.

17. Bite Me
Trying to unseat Cole as ruler of the Underworld, a vampire queen turns Paige into a bloodsucker and urges her to feed on Phoebe and Piper.

My Thoughts:
Another excellent episode. I love pretty much anything to do with vampires... so this is another of my favorite episodes. And lets face it... Paige made one hot looking vampire!

18. We're Off To See The Wizard
Piper and Paige help a wizard stop the coronation of a new Source, unaware that Cole is the Underworld head and Phoebe is his Evil Queen.

My Thoughts:
This one I didn't think to much of. Everyone finds out about Cole in this episode... and Phoebe being pregnant with his child gives in to her own evil urges. As I said many times I do not like Cole. Plus I never cared for the Wizard (thought it was ridiculous how he was done) in this episode... so between the 2 of them this episode pretty much sucked for me.

19. Long Live The Queen
When Phoebe helps her sisters save an innocent, she and Cole face a bloody coup unless she proves her dark allegiance by killing Piper and Paige.

My Thoughts:
Going into this one today... I could have sworn this was one of the ones I didn't care for. But I was wrong. This was a really good... strong episode. I really enjoyed every minute of it. Phoebe really had a fight within herself in this episode. And even though I know we haven't seen the end of him... I definitely enjoyed seeing Cole get blown up.

Disc 6:

20. Womb Raider
When Phoebe's baby shows signs of demonic powers, The Seer plots to steal the baby and gain the power bestowed upon the heir of The Source.

My Thoughts:
This was a good... but not great episode. Was interesting to see how strong the fetus was. I do think it was a pretty good ending to the baby arc. But I don't know... I think I was just expecting a little more from it.

21. Witch Way Now?
As a reward for vanquishing The Source of All Evil, the Angel of Destiny offers the sisters a chance to relinquish their powers and lead normal lives.

My Thoughts:
This was an OK season finale... but far from the best. Actually it didn't even feel like a season finale while watching it. I mean it was nice to see the season end on a good note. Not to mention one hell of a surprise at the very end. But I think it was a little on the weak side for a season finale.

Over-All Season 4 Thoughts:
'
This is not one of the best seasons for Charmed. But it is better then I remember it being. I remember when I watched this series for the very first time I thought this was the end of the show... what with no more Prue. But they really pulled it off. They kept the show pretty much as good as it ever was. As it went on possibly even better. It is just a shame that season 4 didn't have any extras.

Charmed: Season 5
Fall under their spell...The Charmed Ones, Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Paige (Rose McGowan), are simply bewitching and they're here to stay! 'Charmed: The Complete Fifth Season' is rich with intense adventure, humor and intrigue as these sizzling supernatural siblings battle the forces of evil.

From the very first season five episode, when the sisters rush to the aid of an innocent mermaid. The Charmed Ones invite you into their irresistible magical world of paranormal action, fantasy, and suspense. What else do the Halliwell sisters have in store for you? One of them meets an evil Prince Charming: they become mystical comic book super-heroines and gorgeous Greek Goddesses to save the world from wicked demons; they even join forces with Leprechauns!

Escape into their magical world...The Charmed Ones welcome you!

Disc 1:

1. A Witches Tale
The Charmed Ones struggle to help a beautiful mermaid from losing her immortality, but are hindered by morphing mishaps and a fiendish water demon. Sea Hag.

My Thoughts:
This is a good double length episode. As I have said before... I always enjoyed the episodes where the sisters get turned into things. Well this time it is Phoebe's turn... as she is turned into a mermaid... and then don't want to return to her regular life because she don't want to deal with Cole being back. And I can't blame her there... I am so sick of seeing Cole get killed off only to return later. Thankfully there is only a handful of episodes left before he finally leaves the show.

2. Happily Ever After
When an evil witch traps The Charmed Ones in warped classic fairy tales, Phoebe as Cinderella meets evil Prince Charming, Paige eats a poison apple, and Piper goes head-on with a big bad wolf.

My Thoughts:
While it was still ok... This one I didn't really care all that much for. The fairy tales coming to life felt more like they were running out of ideas then anything else. It just seemed more on the silly side then anything else to me.

3. Siren Song
Piper and Paige tries to save Phoebe's life from the scandalous Siren while Piper and Leo's personas are switched magically by their unborn child.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode. I enjoyed it a lot. I really had to laugh when Piper tried to blow up a demon and instead her unborn child made flowers appear instead. Then the way her unborn child switched Leo and Piper's powers was a lot of fun as well.

Disc 2:

4. Witches In Tights
A diabolical uses a young boy's magical drawings to transform into a super villain and, in order to stop the demon, the boy must transfer The Charmed Ones into comic book super-heroines.

My Thoughts:
This is a really fun episode. The Charmed Ones as superheroes?... in those tights? Gotta love it!

5. The Eyes Have It
Phoebe loses her power of premonition, and as she struggles to retrieve her lost powers, she sees a terrifying vision of The Charmed Ones' deaths.

My Thoughts:
Another good episodes. The sisters helps out some gypsies in this episode. Gypsies who is the keeper of The Evil Eye. Though not being used for evil at all. And Piper gets a doctor for her magical pregnancy... we also find out that her sisters will train to be midwives for the birth.

6. Sympathy For A Demon
The Demon of Fear returns to seek vengeance on The Charmed Ones, and the sisters become trapped in the manor battling their own fears.

My Thoughts:
And yet another good episode. The return of Barbus (Demon of Fear) played by Billy Drago.... an actor I have recently became a fan of. This is the first time Paige encounters Barbus.

7. A Witch In Time
Two of The Charmed Ones are killed and the remaining sister must reverse the chain of death when Phoebe inadvertently opens a time tunnel that provides a pathway for a warlock from the future.

My Thoughts:
Yes... Another episode I really enjoyed. That means this entire disc was nothing but really good episodes for me. I like the time travel in this episode. Yeah... we have seen it more then once before on this show... but not quite like this... as Piper does not travel far in time. Just far enough to save her sisters from getting killed. Basically to the beginning of the episode.

Disc 3:

8. Sam, I Am
Cole attacks The Charmed Ones as he realizes that he must eventually give in to his evil destiny in the hopes that the sisters will vanquish him and end his suffering.

My Thoughts:
This is a decent... but standard episode. Though this does does have a couple new things. First after coming to the realization that Phoebe won't have anything to do with him either way... he stops trying to be good. At least as hard as he has in the past. And of course Paige meets her birth father.. her mother's whitelighter.

9. Y Tu Mummy Tambien
A lovelorn demon mummifies Phoebe in his quest to find the perfect body to hold the spirit of his dead lover.

My thoughts:
Another good but standard episode. Nothing to special here... unless you count how good Phoebe looked in that Egyptian outfit.

10. The Importance Of Being Phoebe
After kidnapping Phoebe, Cole's scheming spells create mayhem for the remaining Charmed Ones as he tries to gain access to the powerful spiritual Nexus in the manor.

My Thoughts:
This episode was good. I actually had forgotten about the Nexus until they brought it up in this episode. It has been a while since we seen it mentioned at all. So it was good seeing them go back to it for an episode.

11. Centennial Charmed
Cole's twisted attempts to win Phoebe back destroys the Power of Three. The Charmed Ones must overcome the destruction he has caused and pull together to vanquish the desperate Cole.

My Thoughts:
Charmed's 100th episode! And what a great episode! Thank goodness... Cole is gone! Finally permanently vanquished! Well I do believe his spirit returns for one more episode... in I think it was season 7. But that is OK... as the Cole storyline has finally come to an end. I think they handled the 100th episode with fun... but in a serious way. And they did a great job mixing it together.

Glad to see I'm not the only one happy to see him go. I was so annoyed by his character.

Oh no... you are not the only one. But I do believe there is not many of us. Some reason he seems to be a very popular character for most Charmed fans.

Disc 4:

12. House Call
The Charmed Ones become helplessly self-distructive when the council brings voodoo dolls along on a house call.

My Thoughts:
An enjoyable episode... but I did find it a little on the silly side. The curses that the Witch Doctors put on them just seemed a bit silly to me. But was good for a fun episode.

13. Sand Francisco Dreamin'
Terrifying nightmares come to life when a demon attacks The Charmed Ones with dream dust. The sisters must magically re-enter their nightmares to unmask the symbolic meaning of their dreams.

My Thoughts:
This is a very good episode. It ranks as one of my favorites not only of this season... but of the entire series. I really enjoyed watching the sisters having to deal with their dreams come to life.

14. The Day The Magic Died
At a Summit meeting with the leaders of evil, Phoebe and Paige discover that all magic - both good and bad - has disappeared. Piper needs her sisters' help after she loses her soon-to-be-born baby to the leaders.

My Thoughts:
Another favorite of mine. A huge episode... but of course they were going to make the episode when Piper's baby is born a big one! I thought they handled it very well... like how they made all magic in the world disappear till he was born. Made it show just how special this birth was.

15. Baby's First Demon
Demon kidnappers target Piper's baby for the demonic black market, but when their first attempt fails, the demons use Paige as a pawn to launch an attack on Leo and the baby.

My Thoughts:
This was also a good episode. I actually really enjoyed this whole disc... could it be because of knowing I have gotten past all the Cole episodes? Nah... these are all just good episodes. I liked how the baby learned that when the demon alarm sounds everyone comes running... and took advantage of that knowledge.  Made sense... as we know if a baby learns if they cry and always gets picked up... to just cry all the time. So that kinda fit in this magical show.

Disc 5:

16. Lucky Charmed
The Charmed Ones join forces with a Leprechaun to banish a deadly demon who is killing Leprechauns and stealing their magic. Good magic battles bad magic as the sisters tries to reverse the Leprechauns' bad luck.

My Thoughts:
This one is just your decent, fun episode. not really sure what to say about it... so think I will just leave it at... I enjoyed it, even thought there was nothing really special about the episode.

17. Cat House
Piper accidentally casts a spell that sends Phoebe and Paige back in time where, unbeknownst to the sisters, a wicked warlock tries to permanently alter their future by killing The Charmed Ones' cat.

My Thoughts:
This episode was kinda fun. It is a clips episode... if I am not mistaken... and I could be... but I think it is the only clip episode in the entire series. But it was fun looking back at clips from the older episodes. I did take notice that (of course) there was no Prue present... but they didn't leave her out all together... they showed the scene of when Prue was turned into a dog. And a couple other things like that. So it was nice to see they didn't leave the thought of her out... like they had to leave her image out of this episode.

18. Nymphs Just Want To Have Fun
Piper and Phoebe race against time to rescue Paige after she is transformed into a nymph and then captured by a demon who wants to rule the forest.

My Thoughts:
This was a decent episode... but nothing all that special about it. Just a standard good episode.

19. Sense and Sense Ability
An old crone who wants to kidnap Piper's baby weakens The Charmed Ones by stealing their senses. The blind, deaf and mute sisters must overcome their handicaps to defeat her.

My Thoughts:
This episode I really enjoyed. I must say... I definitely like Baby Wyatt much better then I ever did Cole. A lot of time a series will go downhill when they bring a baby into the show... but that is certainly not the case for Charmed.

Disc 6:

20. Necromancing The Stone
Halliwell matriarchs who have been summond to bless Piper's baby fall prey to the Necromancer demon who has return to the Spirit Realm to absorb their magical powers.

My Thoughts:
This is a decent, but standard episode. This is actually a pretty big episode for Grams... someone you don't see much of on the series.

21. Oh My Goddess! Part 1 & 2
At the risk of being seduced by their vast new powers, The Charmed Ones are transformed into gorgeous Greek Goddesses possessing the ultimate power to defeat a band of angry Greek mythic gods, the Titans.

My Thoughts:
This was a very good double-length season finale. I really enjoyed every minute of it. This episode started a lot of changes. The biggest which is the introduction of Chris to the show. This is also the episode where Leo becomes an Elder.

Over-All Season 5 thoughts:
This season is a really good one in my opinion. There is so much that happens story wise. So many changes. We finally say goodbye to Cole... and we are introduced to Chris... plus a whole lot more in between. Unfortunately... like previous seasons... there is no extras related to the series at all.

Charmed: The Complete 6th Season
The Charmed Ones - Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Paige (Rose McGowan) - are back to bewitch and hold you spellbound. Join these modern-day witches in 'Charmed: The Complete Sixth Season' as their fantastic feats and supernatural escapadeswill leave you breathless.

Season Six catapults the sisters into action when they, disguised as Valkyries, must save Leo from an island of gorgeous warrior-maidens; Phoebe and Paige face off with a hungry Spider Demon that emerges to feed upon Piper; Phoebe accidently transforms into a genie; and magical go-go boots transports Paige back in time. Mix that with infectious humor, remarkable special effects, and intriguing storylines and you have a perfect brew of supernatural entertainment.

Disc 1:

1. Valhalley Of The Dolls
Paige tried to cure Piper's memory loss, but her spell goes amiss and Paige suffers total amnesia. Needing Leo's help, Phoebe and Paige discover that he is being he;d captive by warrior-maidens on the island of Valhalla.

My Thoughts:
I loved this episode.... what a way to start off a season! Like I said before.... I like it when the sisters get turned into things, and this is no exception... especially considering how gorgeous the ladies looked in their Valkyries outfits. Besides they hot looking women... this was a really good and strong episode. It did a wonderful job setting up the season. This would have to rank as one of my favorite episodes... of the season... and of the entire series.

2. Forget Me...Not
When a child inadvertently brings a dragon to life, the Cleaners spring into action to protect the magic from being exposed. The Charmed Ones take on the Cleaners in order to protect the child.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. A little on the standard side... but was worth the time put into it. But there really wasn't anything really special about this one at all. And the whole thing about the cleaners... it just seems a little odd that we are into the 6th season and are now just hearing of them. If they existed and was so quick to jump in here... where were they when they were exposed and we lost Prue?

3. Power Of Three Blondes
When The Charmed Ones' identities are magically stolen by three evil sisters, they must outsmart the sinister trio to get their lives back.

My Thoughts:
While not a bad episode... I did find this episode to be a little to silly for my taste. I mean yes it did feel like it was on purpose... but those 3 blondes just couldn't act well enough to fit in with the series. They just wasn't believable. The whole episode was like silliness on overdrive here. So nope... it just didn't do it for me.

Disc 2:

4. Love's A Witch
Paige becomes immersed in an ongoing feud between two magical families. the Montanas and the Callaways, and attempts to bring about a truce.

My Thoughts:
This is a pretty good episode. Here we meet a guy that Paige becomes interested in as she tries to stop two family of witches from feuding.

5. My Three Witches
The Charmed Ones learn a valuable lesson in magical priorities when a Whithlighter and a demon cast them into an alternate reality.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. The Charmed Ones get sucked into a world where their own desires comes true... but takes a tragic turn for the worse... and must find a way out.

6. Soul Survivor
Paige discovers that her new boss has sold his soul to the demon Zahn. Despite her sisters' pleas, Paige makes the ultimate sacrifice to save her boss.

My Thoughts:
This is a good... but standard episode. The storyline of Paige wanting to hand some of these magical problems on her own at times is starting to get a little old. I understand where it is coming from... where she was raised as an only child... but it kinda goes against what Charmed has ever been.

7. Sword And The City
A bevy of magical beings arrive at the manor after the Charmed Ones agree to help the Lady of the Lake protect Excalibur, the legendary Sword in the Stone.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... but a bit on the silly side. Not that it was done in a silly way... as it was done quite seriously. I just found the whole storyline a bit silly. Was more of a stand alone episode... not one that served much purpose for future episodes.
Title: Re: Charmed Marathon

Disc 3:

8. Little Monsters
The Charmed Ones believe that they can raise a half-demon infant to not be evil when they become foster parents after vanquishing the demon's parent.

My Thoughts:
This is a good but standard episode. Basically all I really can say about it.

9. Chris-Crossed
When a witch from an elite assassin family arrives to take Chris back to the future, The Charmed Ones must pull together to save him.

My Thoughts:
This one is a really good episode. In this one we find out the reason Chris came from the future... what he is trying to save Wyatt from.

10. Witchstock
Paige is transported back in time via a pair of Gram's magical go-go boots. Piper and Phoebe must prevent Paige from changing the past and disrupting the lineage of The Charmed Ones.

My Thoughts:
This is an episode that is just done for fun. Making Grams a '60s flower child. But what I think was the funniest was how they portrayed the '60s Leo.

11. Prince Charmed
Piper's overprotective tendency toward her son causes her to swear off men for the rest of her life. Paige and Phoebe conjure up a Mr. Right to remind Piper of the importance of love.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode... but not what I would consider a great one. In this one the sisters finally find out what it is that Chris is trying to save Wyatt from... which we (the viewers) found out a couple episodes ago.

Disc 4:

12. Used Karma
Dangerous supernatural events result when Phoebe is the accidental recipient of the spirit of Mata Hari, a stripper and double agent during World War 1.

My Thoughts:
This was a pretty good episode. In this one Phoebe's boyfriend finds out about them being witches. I loved the reaction he had... Paige accidentally orbs them into a room right in front of him... and he just stares and faints. Very funny! This is another possession episode... but with a twist as she isn't really possessed by a spirit... but by bad karma.

13. The Legend Of Sleepy Halliwell
A Magic School mentor calls upon The Charmed Ones to find out who cast the spell of darkness upon the school and conjured up the Headless Horsemen who's been busy beheading the teachers!

My Thoughts:
This is another really good episode. In this one we don't only get introduced to the Magic School... but Phoebe learns the truth about who Chris really is. I have really enjoyed the Chris storyline... I think they did an awesome job of keeping you interested... first by making you wonder if he is really good or bad... and then making you wonder exactly who he is... teasing you with the info. Which made it a really great ride.

14. I Dream Of Phoebe
Magical misfortune abounds and wishes go awry when phoebe is tricked into becoming a genie after she frees that genie from a bottle.

My Thoughts:
Another fun episode. it is  Phoebe's turn again to get turned into something... this time a genie. And now in this one Chris has to tell Paige who he really is... so now it is only Piper and Leo that don't know.

15. The Courtship Of Wyatt's Father
Phoebe and Paige believe that Leo and Piper are dead after they are accidentally sent to the Ghostly plane by a Darklighter.

My Thoughts:
And yet another good episode. This one of course is there to get Piper and Leo together for Chris' sake. But they end up in the Ghostly Plane... so Paige and Phoebe must rush to save them... so that they can save Chris. At the end of this one Paige and Phoebe tells Piper who Chris is.... and the three of them decide it is for the best not to tell Leo.

Disc 5:

16. Hyde School Reunion
Phoebe's wild teenage personality takes over when she inadvertently casts a spell on herself before her high school reunion. Her delinquent former classmates then user her magic for wrongdoing.

My Thoughts:
This was an episode that was more on the fun side. Just basically Phoebe getting in trouble and then having to fix the problem. At the same time they need to save Chris from some demons that are on to him.

17. Spin City
Piper is kidnapped and cocooned by a Spider Demon, a creature who emerges every hundred years to feed off magical beings. Chris mutates into a spider after becoming infected with the Demon's venom.

My Thoughts:
This was a really good episode... and Chris' turn to get turned into something when he gets infected by the Spider Demon... and turns into one himself. We also get a good idea just how bad Chris and Leo's relationship in the future really is. Did I mention how much I really enjoy this Chris storyline. Unfortunately that storyline is coming close to an end.

18. Crimes And Witch-Demeanors
The Charmed Ones are put on trial for recklessly abusing their powers after Phoebe and Paige are caught on tape using their powers.

My Thoughts:
This is another clips episode. Well not really as there wasn't THAT many clips shown. But it does visit scenes from all the other seasons... clear back to season 1.  It is a decent episode that has some consequences for Phoebe. Is a good episode... but think it could have been better.

19. A Wrong Day's Journey Into Right
Paige unknowingly conjures up Mr. Right's evil twin, Mr. Wrong, who uses his magical pheromones to trick her into believing that she must kill her sisters to realize her secret desire.

My Thoughts:
This is a decent standard episode. Nothing really special. Well.. Paige does give in to evil a little bit in this episode... but it was explained away by her being under a spell of sorts... so not really. It is another episode that I though could have been better.

Disc 6:

20. Witch Wars
The Charmed Ones' powers are in jeopardy when they are tricked into taking part in a new demonic reality television show, where demon contestants compete to hunt down the sisters. The winning demon acquires their powers.

My Thoughts:
This one I really got a kick out of... was one of the good ones. I liked how they made fun of Reality TV. Definitely one of my favorites.

21. It's A Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad World
After Chris and Leo fall through a portal that transports them to an evil mirrored world, Phoebe and Paige must travel to the parallel universe to rescue them while battling their evil counterparts.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode... but not one of my favorites... especially for a season finale. It just came off a little to silly for my tastes. But it wasn't really bad. It definitely had it's moments.

Over-All Season 6 Thoughts:
This is one of my favorite seasons. I really enjoy the character of Chris and how they handled his storyline from beginning to end. I liked how they didn't let us know much about him... and how we just got drabs of info on him through-out the season. Unfortunately, like most seasons of Charmed there is no Charmed related extras what so ever in this set. All you get is a handful of trailers for other series on the first disc.

In 'Charmed: The Complete Seventh Season', the magical Halliwell sisters are called to travel back in time, protect the innocents from the deadly demon Sarpedon, and keep Zankou from claiming the powerful Book of Shadows. join the Charmed Ones in the ultimate battle of impending doom when the almighty Avatars from ancient Egypt plan to vanquish anyone who threatens theirUtopian transformation of the world! 'Charmed: The Complete Seventh Season' is filled with pure excitement, romance and mystical thrills

The Power of Three has never been better!

Disc 1:

1. A Call to Arms
The exotic powers of Hindu's Ultimate Lovers, Shakti & Shiva, overtake Piper and Leo, Phoebe and Paige must stop them from consummating their love or the universe faces destruction.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode... but pretty standard. Especially considering that it is a season premiere episode. I do have to admit... Piper did look pretty freaky with 6 arms.

2. The Bare Witch Project
A mishap at Magic School conjures up a gorgeous Lady Godiva who arouses a spirit of liberation in The Charmed Ones. But the sisters can't bask too long in Lady Godiva's glow when an evil land baron sets his mind to killing Lady Godiva.

My Thoughts:
Was a good episode. Mostly Paige having problems trying to take over the Magic School.

3. Cheaper By The Coven
The Charmed Ones are whirled back in time when Grams arrives for Chris's wiccaning and the sisters are stunned to find themselves to be bickering teenagers once again.

My Thoughts:
This was a really good episode. In this one not only do we have Leo finally starting to become his old self after being betrayed by one of the other Elders... but we have the always lovely Charisma Carpenter guest starring.

4. Charrrmed!
The Charmed Ones are bewildered when the aging curs of an infamous 18th-century pirate is transferred to them. The sisters must bring the Fountain of Youth to life in order the break the curse.

My Thoughts:
Decent episode... of course they make this after the huge success of Pirates of the Caribbean. They even mention the movie in the episode.

Disc 2:

5. Styx Feet Under
A bloodthirsty demon, set on destroying his human half, goes on a deadly rampage to kill his remaining blood relatives. Piper is "killed" so that she can help the Angel of Death clean up the mess.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode. As I said many times I like when the sisters become other things... and this time it is Piper that becomes an Angel of Death. I know it has been done a million times before... but I must say I still get a kick out of seeing a huge hole through the gut of someone like is in this episode. And we get to see the lovely Charisma Carpenter again in this episode.

6. Once In a Blue Moon
The light of a blue moon conjures up strange transformations in The Charmed Ones. Could Leo be to blame for the near-death of the sisters' new Whitelights...or is it the sisters themselves.

My Thoughts:
An episode about The Charmed Ones having PMS plus! LOL  Was a decent episode. but nothing really special.

7. Someone To Witch Over Me
Paige's decision to help Agent Brody brings the sisters face-to-face with an evil demon, Sarpedon, who captures innocents' Guardian Angels for his own protection. Piper and Phoebe die at the hands of Sarpedon but Leo can save them - but only if he turns over his free will.

My Thoughts:
Good episode... not only does it have a good weekly story. But it also has an appearance by last season's character Chris. Was good to see him again.

8. Charmed Noir
Paige and Agent Brody are sucked into an unfinished novel and find themselves in the turbulent times of a 1930s film noir. Their only chance of escape is to find the missing author and help him be a hero so that the story can end.

My Thoughts:
To me... this one is only an OK episode. I personally never much been into the Film Noir... so I really wasn't the target fan for this particular episode. Felt a bit slow for my taste.

Disc 3:

9. There's Something About Leo
Leo's announcement that he is an Avatar causes pandemonium in The Charmed Ones' lives. Blood is shed when the distracted sisters are unable to fulfill their duty to protect the life of an Innocent.

My Thoughts:
A good... but not great episode... it is one of those episodes I call a "what if Episode"... where something is brought out into the open... just for the one episode to see how things would turn out.  There is nothing really special about this episode... but it isn't bad either.

10. Witchness Protection
Leo is forced to protect the Seer upon the Avatars' insistence that she has information that can help destroy the demons while Agent Brody shares his darkest secret with Paige.

My Thoughts:
This episode I really enjoyed a lot... unfortunately this is the last episode to guest star Charisma Carpenter.

11. Ordinary Witches
The underworld's most powerful demon transfers The Charmed Ones' powers to innocent bystanders who run amok with their new abilites.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... but once again nothing really special.

12. Extreme Makeover: World Edition
With the impending doom of the Avatars' Utopian transformation of the world where all humans must be put to sleep, The Charmed Ones become victims of a paranoia spell that attracts and kills an Avatar.

My Thoughts:
Once again an alright episode. For some reason I never really cared about the whole Avatar storyline. I am just glad that the Avatar storyline didn't last the whole season.

Disc 4:

13. Charmageddon
The conflict-free Utopian world can only be protected if the Avatars control who lives and dies. Leo gives up his life when he is unable to persuade The Charmed Ones that the Avatars kill innocent people.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... this is part 2 of the episodes that puts an end to the Avatar storyline. If I remember right... there is no more episodes dealing with the Avatars through-out the rest of the series. Which I am cool with... as I never cared for this storyline anyway.

14. Carpe Demon
An ex-demon professor candidate for Magic School causes a media frenzy when he falls under a spell that makes him believe that he is Robin Hood and that Phoebe is Maid Marian.

My Thoughts:
Even though you wouldn't know it by the description... this is actually a Valentine's Day episode. I like this character of Drake... his whole character does nothing but lightens up the show... he is a really fun character type. Shame he didn't last longer then he did on the series... of course I could see that he would get old pretty quick... but one or two more episodes with him would have been fun.

15. Show Ghouls
While trying to help the Lost Souls of hundreds of victims who died in a catastrophic fire at a cabaret, Phoebe and Drake (Billy Zane) transport themselves back to the night of the fire and are stuck in the year 1899.

My Thoughts:
Even though it is a decent episode... it is not one of my favorites. no real reason for it... just didn't strike me as very good.

16. The Seven Year Witch
Piper ends up in a coma after a vicious demon attack and her spirit is stuck in the cosmic void between life and death. Moreover, she is surprised to find Cole (Julian McMahon) waiting for her.

My Thoughts:
OK... even in this episode I still hate the Cole character. But this is a really good episode.I like how they handled the whole Leo's punishment thing. It made for a really good story.

Disc 5:

17. Scry Hard
Zankou (Oded Feher) is determined to find the Nexus and release the Shadow, the ultimate power. For their own protection, Piper and Leo are magically miniaturized and trapped inside a dollhouse.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode. The first really serious attempt by Zankou.

18. Little Box Of Horrors
The mythological Pandora's Box falls into the hands of a shapeshifting demon who wants to open the box and release all the wickedness it contains. The Charmed Ones must find the Guardian who can return the released evil spirits to the box.

My Thoughts:
This is a good... but standard episode. Not surprising they got around to doing an episode about Pandora's Box. The show is pretty good about hitting all the big mythology items. (or whatever you would call it).

19. Freaky Phoebe
A power-hungry sorceress switches souls and tries to gain control of the Underworld while armed with Phoebe's identity and power. Phoebe, a prisoner in the sorceress's body, is accidentally vanquished by her sister.

My Thoughts:
This episode is alright... but I think it could have been better. Definitely not one of my favorites. In this episode Paige gets her first true charge as a whitelighter. Which of course they are able to work into the episode where they need his help.

20. Imaginary Fiends
Baby Wyatt's imaginary friend is actually a demon trying to gain his trust to turn him evil. Piper's spell inadvertently brings an evil 25-year old Wyatt back from the future who now wants to crush the good in baby Wyatt.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode. I really enjoyed seeing the older Wyatt again. Wish they were able to fit in Chris as well. We get to see both a good and evil version of Wyatt in this episode. You can tell someone that don't watch the show wrote the plot to this episode... as the Evil Wyatt did not want to "crush" baby Wyatt... just the opposite... he had to be sure he was safe and away from his family so he would stay good. if he destroyed baby Wyatt.. he would have destroyed himself as well.

Disc 6:

21. Death Becomes Them
A menacing confrontation with the undead Innocents that The Charmed Ones were unable to save allows Zankou (Oded Fener) to take control of the Book of Shadows.

My Thoughts:
This is actually part one of a two part season finale. A really good start... I do like this Zankou character. He makes for a good demon to fight the sisters.

22. Something Wicca This Way Goes
Zankou (Oded Feher) steals Phoebe's premonition power and thwarts The Charmed Ones' attempts to reclaim the Book of Shadows. The sisters realize that the only way to stop Zankou may be to sacrifice themselves.

My Thoughts:
This is a good finale. I would say the best of the series... or not even great... but enjoyable. It almost was our series finale. And it would have made for a decent series finale... but I am glad it wasn't as I definitely prefer the series finale we ended up with.

Over-All Season 7 Thoughts:
Over all this was a pretty good season... but far from the best season. I felt the Avatars... while enjoyable... would have never made for a season long enemy. So I am glad they came up with Zankou... he was much better in that spot.  Unfortunately just like every season before it... there is no Charmed related extras in this set. All you get is a few trailers for other series the studio wants you to buy on disc 1.

Charmed: The Final Season
Get ready for the ultimate ride in supernatural entertainment! Join them in their fight to protect Leo from the Angel of Death, and witness their devastating battle when demons conspire to take over the Underworld! 'Charmed': The Final Season's 6 discs deliver 22 episodes of nonstop thrills, suspense and a climactic finale! The 'Charmed' Ones are ready. Are you?

Disc 1:

1. Still Charmed & Kicking
Presumed dead, the Charmed sisters start a demon-free existence with new identities, but Paige can't escape her Whitelighter instincts and answers the call of a young witch named Billie.

My Thoughts:
A decent season opener. Even though I know why they had to do it the way the did... I didn't care much for the whole "disguise" phase at the beginning of this season. We get our first look at the new witch in town, Billie. Even though she is left as a mystery in this episode. Finally we get extras on a season of Charmed. And this particular episode has a commentary track with Kaley Cuoco who plays Billie... the newest addition to the Charmed family.

2. Malice in Wonderland
The Charmed Ones come to Billie's rescue when she tries to stop Haas, a young demon who wants to lure the sisters out of hiding and take over the Underworld.

My Thoughts:
Another decent episode. In this one Billie joins up with the Charmed Ones.

3. Run, Piper, Run
When Piper's adopted appearance as a woman wanted for murder gets her arrested, the sisters and Billie set out to clear the woman's name.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode. First time in my memory that the main storyline didn't involve demons. They are actually trying to right a human wrong.

4. Desperate Housewitches
Piper's son, Wyatt, is kidnapped by Mandi, a demon in disguise who wants to use the boy's powers to bring back The Source and create the perfect demon family.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode. Probably my favorite episode on this disc. In this episode The Charmed Ones finds out that Magic School has been taken over by demons. And they need to once again deal with The Source. At least this time it was settled in only one episode.

Disc 2:

5. Rewitched
Billie jeopardizes the Charmed Ones' new lives when she uses her powers and is caught by Homeland Security Agent Murphy, who suspects the Halliwell sisters are not dead.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode... and now the entire world knows that the Halliwell sisters is alive. I am glad they ended all that disguise stuff... I never liked that part of the storyline to start with.

6. Kill Billie: Vol. 1
After Billie freezes in fear upon seeing her demon target, The Dogan, she opens up to The Charmed Ones about a Halloween long ago when a demon kidnapped her sister.

My Thoughts:
Really good episode... and another Halloween one. I keep forgetting about this Halloween episode... as it is really low key... Halloween is not the main focus of the storyline.

7. The Lost Picture Show
Paige's Whitlighter father, Sam, asks for her help when his charge, J.D., escapes from Vaklav, a demon who holds people hostage inside an evil photo collage.

My Thoughts:
This is a good...but standard episode. It was entertaining to see someone who has been in captivity since the '50s react to how much things has changed in 50 something years.

8. Battle of the Hexes
Phoebe and Billie discover a belt with superpowers that can turn the sexes against one another, while a power-hungry female demon uses Billie to achieve female domination.

My Thoughts:
This is just a plain fun episode. A bit silly... yes... but fun. This time it is Billie's turn to be turned into something. She gets turned into a super powered feminist that wants to destroy all men.

Disc 3:

9. Hulkus Pocus
When Billie is infected by a government-created virus that causes magical beings to "hulk out," Piper and Leo race against time to find an antidote to save her life.

My Thoughts:
This is another episode that I found a lot of fun. This time we have all 4 of the girls turning into something. This time it is a virus running rampant in the magical community that makes magical creatures (including The Charmed Ones) to become hulk like creatures shortly after the change the infected creatures die.

10. Vaya Con Leos
Piper turns to The Elders and The Avatars to save Leo from The Angel of Death, while Phoebe and Billie hunt for Billie's sister and meet Burke, a demonic bounty hunter who freezes his victims into trophies.

My Thoughts:
Another really good episode. And time to say goodbye to Leo for several episodes.  For some reason Brian Krause (Leo) was not signed for the entire season like he was for the previous seasons. So this season we only got him for half the episodes. They handled it pretty well they made it be emotional... but kept the possibility of him returning.

11. Mr. & Mrs. Witch
When Billie discovers the power of projection, she inadvertently transforms her parents into cold-blooded assassins who are then hired to kill the CEO of a powerful company.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... but not great. Really was just a standard episode. Though it does go a little further into the Billie/Chrissy storyline.

12. Payback's a Witch
Paige tries to help Henry's parolee, Nick, get a loan at a bank, but when the loan is denied, Nick crashes his car into the bank and holds everyone hostage.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... but not great. Billie is still on a warpath trying to find her sister. And Paige discovers her powers as a whitelighter is increasing when she heals Henry.

Disc 4:

13. Repo Manor
When The Charmed Ones consider moving, they're forced to stay under the same roof by a demon that miniaturizes and imprisons them inside a dollhouse replica of the Manor.

My Thoughts:
This is another good... but standard episode.  Pretty much everything in this episode we seen in previous episodes... just brought together into a single episode... we have The Charmed Ones being shrunken and placed into the Dollhouse.... demons impersonating The Charmed Ones... all been done before.

14. 12 Angry Zen
Piper searches for information about Leo and discovers a message from Lo Pan, a monk and keeper of a sacred Buddhist staff containing the power of influence.

My Thoughts:
A good episode.. and something different this time as well... Buddha's Staff. Also in this episode Billie finally finds out how to find her sister.

15. The Last Temptation Of Christy
Paige is torn between dating mortal Henry or a magical suitor who proposes marriage, while Billie finds her sister, Christy, who has been held captive by demons for several years.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... Billie and Christy takes care of the Demons that kept Christy captive for all these years. Even though all is not as it seems. Also in this episode Paige and Henry get engaged. I like the Henry character... but it seems like they are rushing it a bit. Of course that is understandable since they knew this would be the last season... and only had so much time to tie everything up.

16. Engaged And Confused
Paige and Henry's cold fee put their engagement in jeopardy.  Meanwhile, a demon kidnaps Christy in order to lure The Charmed Ones into attacking the Triad and prevent them from taking over the Underworld.

My Thoughts:
A Really good episode... Christy gets taken again... but not for long this time. Plus we find out more about what the Triad is up to. Unfortunately you can feel the show coming to an end... all the loose ends being tied up a little more with each episode.

Disc 5:

17. Generation Hex
Piper is forced to take charge when Leo's teen proteges come to the manor seeking refuge from the demons that have overtaken the Magic School.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. Piper has to figure out how to vanquish demons that are unvanquishable. We also learn how powerful Billie and Christy are together.

18. The Torn Identity
Phoebe must choose between mortal or magical love, while Piper interrogates the demons who killed Billie and Christy's parents to prove that they were connected to the "Ultimate Power".

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. They continue to work on tying up loose ends. I am so glad they knew ahead of time that the series was coming to an end. We see some clips from previous episodes here... as well as Billie is starting to believe that The Charmed Ones are loosing their way.

19. The Jung And The Restless
When Pheobe and Piper formulate a plan to get Leo back, Christy traps them in a dreamstate to prove to Billie that the sisters' "inner-truths" are driven by selfishness.

My Thoughts:
The series ending really coming together. I am enjoying every minute of it. Even though Billie still has her doubts she decides to go along with Christy.

20. Gone With The Witches
Billie and Christy team up to destroy the reputations of The Charmed Ones and force them into hiding in the Underworld.

My Thoughts:
This is a great episode leading into the final battle. The whole magical community has lost faith in The Charmed Ones now.  I think they are doing a really good job at telling the story of what will be the last battle for the sisters.

Disc 6:

21. Kill Billie: Vol. 2
In order to defeat Billie and Christy, The Charmed Ones conjure The Hollow, the most powerful force known to man, which leads to a devastating battle.

My Thoughts:
This is the first half of the big battle.... a battle that goes terribly wrong. This was done very well... was a great episode.

22. Forever Charmed
Piper enlists Coop's help to travel back in time and change the events that lead to the deaths of Phoebe and Paige.

My Thoughts:
What can I say other then this is an awesome ending to an awesome series. This episode is full of emotion from the beginning to the end. I loved everything about how this series ended... how it ended for the sisters... and how it ended for Billie. If there was one thing I had to complain about it would have to be the fact that they couldn't bring Prue back... not even use a picture of her. But unfortunately it wasn't meant to be. And I do understand that they just weren't able to do it.

Over-All Season 8 Thoughts:
I feel that the series ended on a high note... I really enjoyed the season from beginning to end. The new cast fit in well. All the stories were enjoyable. And I loved every second of revisiting it. The DVD release is great for this season too. For the first time in the entire series we finally got some extras! Although there is a downside to this set. And that is with the opening theme. For some reason they decided to replace the opening theme to some generic music. Now this is no big deal to me personally because I am not a music fan... and I do chapter skip past the opening anyway... but I do know this is a big deal for a lot of people... so felt the need to mention it here.

I really had a great time with this marathon... and almost feel like starting all over again with season 1! But I won't do that... it is time to focus on another show. So look for my next marathon on the TV Series Birds of Prey real soon!

I have always loved the series... from the first moment I discovered it. It was one series I got the DVDs as soon as they were released. And one of these days I would still love to upgrade to the Complete Series set in the "Book of Shadows".

Of course a big part (no.,.. not the only part) of what I love about the series is the women!  :drooling:

I watched the show when it first came on and I really enjoyed it.  I started getting ....annoyed with certain things as the show progressed though.
(click to show/hide)
In the last few seasons I only watched every once in a while..and I didn't see the last season at all.  I know the time slot had changed at some point and that was when I mostly stopped watching.  Maybe around season 6..can't remember now.  I'll probably get the DVD sets someday.
