So far, Cindy and Tadpole aren't seeing too much of each other because the vet wants them kept apart...but it's impossible to keep them away from each other every minute of the day.  At first, Cindy hissed a lot but doesn't hiss too much anymore.  So when the vet says it's okay to let them interact, they should be okay with each other.

Elmo didn't seem to care too much when Lillie came.  She stayed mostly in my room for about a week or so.  The first few days hiding under my bed. She slowly got to feeling more comfortable and she would venture out a bit. 

Jenna stayed in my room first too.  I don't remember her hiding under the bed much, but she probably did.  Lillie accepted her right away.  Elmo not so fast.  They get along fine now, though they still hiss or swat each other every once in awhile.

Hayley stayed in my room too, but she was wanting to venture out faster than the others.  She would go out for a bit, then run back under my bed if she got spooked.  She saw where the other cats ate, and after about 2 days, she was wanting to eat in there with them instead of by herself.

Here are some picture of my cat that I like to think would embarrass him if he could see them, and well like all good "parents" I am a big fan of embarrassing him. 

So we found my cat asleep hugging a soft toy of cat...


He didn't seem amused when he woke up and we were all standing around him saying how cute it was.


This just makes him look drunk or something... I have no idea what happened... I think he was yawning.


I call this one Cat-nip face... he had just eaten some catnip drops and I took a photo...

All my adult life I had only had dogs. Several years ago I started to volunteer at the local animal shelter. I work with placing cats at off-site facilities to find forever homes for adult cats. When they got sick I brought them home to rehab, they never left. All of my cats I adopted were 5 years or older. I rescued my first kitten a few months ago - oh my - who knew?

They are my 2 older nieces (Charlize 5 and Mélyane 2½), made up to look like some obscure blue alien I've never heard of  




Question is: How did they manage to keep the younger one in place long enough to get the makeup done.

The only thing I can think of is they knocked her out cold!
